Don't bother. They advertise same day service and we requested same day service when they took payment up front. Several hours later we had to call the helpline (you won't be waiting less than 10 minutes) for them to tell us they hadn't got a technician available but could book is in the next day. We agreed and again no one showed up. We called them and asked whether someone was coming out to us, 2 hours later we called again and asked for a refund. We were willing to pay the expensive cost of $240 for them to put a picture TV on the wall when customer service is non existent. We wasted several hours on this unprofessional, disorganized company. They have zero integrity, charging up front for a service they just don't deliver. read more

Morid was great!! He first came last week because my doorbell pro would not setup after my contractor installed it. I called Hello Tech because I thought contractor installed it wrong (so I paid for installation). Morid checked everything and I needed a new doorbell. He called RING from my house last week to explain situation so they shipped me new doorbell much more quickly than if I had to call them. When doorbell arrived, I specifically asked for him to install new doorbell because he was so knowledgable, friendly, and helpful! After helping me setup the doorbell, he walked me through the app on my phone and explained everything. I'm very impressed with his service and will use Hello Tech again with any future needs! read more

The company seems to try to be on top of things (lots of reminder emails, etc.) but then the tech that was supposed to do the job texts me twenty minutes before the appointment that he wouldn't be there until one to one and a half hours after my appointment time. When I question him about the time he tells me that there was an appointment "window" of about two hours. Why tell me that the appointment is set at one time but then have the tech tell me something different? The job was fairly small but I wanted to see how they did before I spent a bunch of cash on setting up my media room. Big fail. read more

I scheduled on Wednesday a service call to repair a WiFi based pool controller for the following Saturday at 4P. At 3P I received a text message requesting an appointment delay to 8P which I accepted. By 8:45P no one had shown up to my home. I logged into my HelloTech account which indicated my appointment was "unserviceable". After waiting on hold for an extended period on the phone, I logged into chat, only to learn that the tech had cancelled the service call, and communicated to HelloTech that I was notified of same. However, I did not receive a text message, no phone calls nor email from anyone representing Hello Tech. The chat person informed me Hello Tech never services such pool devices, though throughout the entire process I was never informed of this fact. Other than an empty apology, no other accommodation was offered. I have cancelled my yearly membership with Hello Tech and do not recommend them to anyone. read more

I hired Hello Tech to allow me to watch programs like Netflix on my smart TV - a Samsung. The Tech was polite but could not get me the access. I have since called the Geek Squad and I wasted $83.00. Hello Tech says they don't charge if they don't fix the problem but they have charged me the 83.00 - not a huge amount but it is the principle to me that matters. read more

Had Hellotech come out to do a Ring install. Morid was the tech who came out and he was quick and courteous.

Total waste of time. They were told we wanted five TVs set up and coordinated with surround sound and Cable. They set up one tv and the Ed result was the same as when he started - two remotes. Said he needed another remote IR but there were two to begin with. Then wanted $60 for each TV to set them up. Sent them back. Complete waste of time and $107. read more

I had Geekatoo install a large screen TV, sound bar and Blue Ray DVD Player. The quoted price was $279.00. A trio of men showed up at my house on time. One of them immediately sat on an antique chair while the other two went to work. They quickly and neatly installed everything and the guy in the chair sent the other two out to the truck while he presented me with the "bill". The bill was $655.49. Far more than the quoted price. When I questioned the price increase he got really angry with me and said I had them do additional work, the only thing I had them do "extra" was plug in the subwolfer that came with the sound bar, I considered that to be one thing! He was so angry he actually scared me, I was with him alone in my house and he obviously knew where I live so I paid him. The next morning I called Geekatoo and finally received an invoice with an adjusted price of $318.00. I immediately reported that I had paid $655.49, and they sent me another invoice for $447.00 and later a third invoice for $456.00. I have never received an invoice nor any justification for the $655.49 they billed my credit card. After much back and forth, they promised to refund my money. I have called multiple times and spoken with Adam about the refund because I have never received a refund to my credit card. At one point, they promised to just mail me a check, that was about 3 months ago. I have yet to receive a check. Geekatoo ripped me off. If you have Geekatoo do any work for you, be sure to have a hard copy of the quote in front of you before the work is started. A verbal quote apparently means nothing and I would not trust anything any Geekatoo employee tells me. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible service. Non existent almost. Actually worse than nonexistent. I called and asked for help on outlook and the call center person told me that they did not handle outlook and that I needed to call the outlook help desk. He gave me a number, which I used. Long story short, that person sounded suspicious to me after he had remoted into my computer. He asked if I gave out passwords. I said no. He ended the call fairly quickly after that. I googled the phone number and the information was NOT good. Concerned, I called hellotech back and asked them for the "outlook help desk". That hellotech person told me they do not give out phone numbers. I told her that the person I just spoke with from hello tech did exactly that. What followed was 30 hours over 3 days and $250 in getting my computer serviced by a REAL computer service company that looked for malware and talked to me about any exposure from the unauthorized person gaining access to my computer. When I finally spoke to a Director at Hello Tech, she said that their call desk is in the Phillipines and that the employee should not have given me that number - that he had googled it. Are you kidding? I could have done something dumb like that and I am not a computer person! I complained about the hours I had spent dealing with the aftermath, changing passwords, spending $200 plus dollars and wanted to know what they were going to do about it. She said the employee was doing me a favor when he gave me that number although he should not have done so. She said they talked to him but there would be no recompense from them. "Doing me a favor?????" I checked out hellotech in Linked In and it said they have 11-50 employees and so I asked the Director who called me if that was true and she said yes that was true. I just thought - wow- I had thought I was dealing with a bigger more robust company than that. I started with them when they were Geekatoo and I gave them good reviews. I removed those. This was a horrible scary experience. read more

Absolutely a very poor experience. After telling the Hello Tech team that they were needed because the Nest Camera's needed to be mounted high up, the tech showed up without a ladder capable of doing the job. Just a poor and unfortunate experience. I think they are more suited to an indoor role and not equipped to handle any outdoor camera experience. read more

These folks are really tech pros. Eric called to set up an appointment shortly after I called for tech support, and showed up within the hour. He did a great job setting everything up and explaining how all the parts interface. He even eliminated the need for a remote for our Blu-Ray player -- it's all controlled by the DISH universal remote now. He's very personable, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I highly recommend asking for Eric for any tech support services in the DFW area. read more

Very unimpressed. Appointment to reassemble our our home theater system (after painting the Entertainment Center) at 9:00 am Saturday morning. One nice guy arrives - to put back together the 6 components, plus 6 speakers, and a new remote - in 2 hours. Clearly, he couldn't complete it and be on time for his next scheduled appointment. So he asked if it would be OK if he came back on Sunday to finish. We said OK - it is a big job. On Sunday he called us, he was sick and couldn't make it. Finally, he came back Tuesday evening around 6:00 pm - and finished at 10:30 pm. By then, it was late enough that there was no time to explain the use of the new remote - or anything else. And we now have a few "extra" cords - including the am/fm antenna. And the sound is not quite right. In a few days, we'll call again with a punch list and see if they respond. Bottom line, our tech should have called for assistance so he could finish on Saturday or Sunday - but evidently, customer service isn't a high priority. For $272, this was a bad choice. Choose the other guys. read more
