All in all, the service from beginning to end was a huge waste of my time. I talked with a representative who scheduled a computer service call. I only needed a PC to download a driver and some freeware that could only be download to a PC and I only had an iMac. I clearly stated I wanted a tech to bring a PC laptop to my home. I chatted with rep Sunday afternoon and got tech appointment for noon the next day at my preferred time (they actually scheduled a set time - NOT a 2 - 4 hour range like other services). Horrible service. I had my appointment scheduled and it was cancelled more than a few times. The tech sent me numerous text messages he was on his way and then would say he is not going to make it. He then told me he would come early the next morning at 8a. I told him that would be fine, so I got my kids to school extra early so I could be home and only to see ANOTHER text message cancelling the service. He then told "Well I can come tomorrow morning?!- My first response was a huge laugh as this guy is not all there. I then told him that would not be necessary and cancelled the service. The tech was on time but first had problems finding the house although he was parked right in front and addresses are clearly embedded on the front of the mailboxes. Should have set off my alarms. Solved some of the problems but resorted to the old "there must be something wrong with the box although other than shaking a few wires (never disconnecting the wires) he gave up and charged full price even though the service wasn't completed. but worse than anything was the gross "very low butt crack exposure" every time he bent down. If he can't keep his pants up - get a belt, a very long tee shirt and stay upright. It's disgusting. I've used Hello Tech in the past and was pleased but not this time. I looked fir a review spot on their website and couldn't f one. Also didn't get a service critic request so I'm submitting here. Service was on October 23,2021. Also their appointment protocol says they'll wipe everything they touch. He wiped nothing and handled 4 remotes. They tell customers to follow protocols but don't themselves. read more

This is a wonderful service - in person or remote - it's nice to have personalized help on hand. I could not resolve my laptop issue so I had to call in stronger reinforcements. I had an issue installing Microsoft Home and Business 2019 on a new laptop. Seems it was a bad download and/or install. And Office 365 needed to be removed which was on the computer when it comes from the factory. It caused Outlook email to freeze and it was impossible to create an account or connect to my Hotmail account. We had three Ring doorbells in our complex that needed to be installed and Isaac came and was able to figure out a way to combine a hard wired charger for two if them that took sone mad skills . I guess what puts a bad hue over my experience is that this is the second time I have used you all and each time the tech charged me a fee outside of what I originally agreed to. The first tech didnt even do what he told me he was charging me for. Now this tech stated that due to the type of studs I have it would be an extra 70.00. I provided my mount. John was here on Saturday the 2nd and looked at the area the project would be in. He suggested we get a different mount. We got the mount and he came back sunday. He brought someone else with him who I have no idea who he was. John did not bring a measuring tape so nothing was measured. Just guessing. I have several holes behind my tv that were completely unnecessary because he would drill without measuring anything. The tv cannot be centered because of the type of mount he suggested and no measuring. No wires were hidden because of studs behind my wall, every wall has studs behind it so I don't understand how everyone else does it. Very unprofessional and improper handling of tv. Seemed very lost the entire time. Should not be hanging tv's without a simple thing like a tape measure. I will now have to have someone else come out to hang the tv properly and the damage on my wall will need to be fixed due to him guessing the mount location. read more

First tech installed out system incorrectly and then sensors started falling off in the middle of the night, setting off our alarm and garnering us false alarms with Police. I lost the better part of a day of my life I will never get back again because I STUPIDLY saw the Google ad that hello tech was geek squad done better and cheaper. BOY WAS THAT A HUGE MISTAKE! First, I just called geek squad and they come out for $99. Hello tech wanted $129 minimum IF you could get them to do this. You cant. They "advise" that you'd be better off with a $200 membership per year (that auto renews forever) that covers all your tech--except it doesn't. In my case it only covered wifi--which if it worked better would make my tech better. DUH? But would do nothing if my computer didn't boot, or my phone quit. They mention on phone help, but getting a human on a phone is what you'd expect. I said since 30 day warranty on repair, I'd just do that.
