Dr. Cody Mugleston and his team have been nothing short of amazing to me. I was going through a difficult process with another dentist in another state when I was referred to Modern Dentistry instead. Dr. Mugleston was extremely kind, thorough and did an amazing job on my teeth. I have zero complaints, only a glowing review of both him and his team. They did my wisdom tooth extraction last month. Everything was outlined for me perfectly for the most part and everyone made the experience very comfortable. It was my first time being under anesthesia, so I was really nervous. Three wisdom teeth out within 15-20 minutes and I find that pretty impressive. I thought I was going to be out for at least an hour. They gave instructions to my husband about aftercare as well as papers with detailed instructions for me. I do wish though that they would have been more clear about the medications. Anyway, I'm happy and no longer in pain. I would recommend. read more

He accused me of paying for a "cheap" product, and so, my dental work failed. but he sold me those products, so he carries cheap goods?? then sells cheapo goods to us?? I have a failed bridge and he wont even give a discount to re do, his own sloppy work. My insurance wont pay for his work since it failed to last 5 years. Been going to Henderson Modern Dentistry for about 2 full years now. I'm older, have had some filling and crown restoration repairs, 4 wisdom teeth removed, and most recently an implant to repair a broken front tooth crown from over 25yrs ago. I should have checked yelp before getting involved with these people. Bad on me! They had been my dentist until I moved 7 years ago. Now that I'm back, I thought they would be a good choice again. Wow! What a difference time makes. Upon dentist's recommendation, had three teeth removed, three implant posts put in. Two on one side and one on the other...my first mistake, agreeing to that crazy scheme. Now I'm stuck for three months with little ability to chew. My gums remain swollen and painful after the first month and a half. Last night, an infection set in with swollen jaw, nasal cavity, and eye area involved (to the point of constant tearing). Called the office early this morning to get a script for antibiotic and find out if I needed to come into office. Phone picked up by answering service...went thru the usual security/info procedure and placed on hold. Disconnected after five minute wait. Called back, another rep answers. Run thru all the same info again. She says she'll try to reach office, puts me on hold, comes back on after a few minutes and says she can't get thru. Suggests appointment so I can see someone and get prescript. 12:30 is set, and when I show up, office is locked, lights out. Geez! Called office for third time. Once again, name, phone number, address, etc., etc. Describe issue again, a thousand apologies, asks about pain, swelling. Tell her yes, all the above, pretty sever. She says, it's an emergency and takes all the info for my pharmacy, says she'll contact on-call dentist, call me every ten minutes to check whether script has been ordered. Hour ten minutes later, no call. Sorry to be so long and there's another few paragraphs, but, let me end by saying I hope another dentist can finish the work because I'm not going back to this side show. read more

Worst dental office EVER! The staff really needs to get their stuff together! Went in Septemeber 2021 for a cleaning and routine dental exam. On day of exam, I was told they could not do ANY dental work without prior insurance authorization. That's understandable. I get it. The office admin told me they would submit that day and I would here back from them. Well a month later Went by and nothing. I called the office to inquire about the treatment plan and the insurance approval and also about a bill I received. I was told the approval was pending through insurance after a month. Ok, why so long right?? They also told me they billed incorrectly and the x-rays were on the bill.and to disregard. Admin staff said they would send treatment plan in 24 hours. I of course waited a week. I called back explaining I was told 24 hours that has now taken a week. The admin sent it a few hours later and it says my insurance lapsed. I called insurance and they said it's on a month to month basis. I called the Henderson Mondern Dentistry back and explained that to them. They said insurance still pending. I hadn't bothered to much as I hadn't had any pain however on Monday I ran into an issues where a filling fell out and was having sensitivity. I called ad scheduled appt and informed admin girl of all the issues I was having with them. I was nice.and polite during the entire conversation despite their lack of communication. I told the admin girl I wanted to ensure everything was ready to go and what I was needing to get done. She ensured me everything was fine and she would call insurance when we got off phone. Today, Wednesday, December 1st arrives and I show up for my appt. First off, I couldn't check into my electronic MySmiles. Finally, we moved past that and she said your insurance lapsed. I was getting a bit upset as I was told on Monday my insurance would be verified. I again told her it's a month to month teamsters union insurance. So I had to wait for them to contact insurance. She got through 25 mins later of me waiting and insurance was active of course. They would have known that if it was verified Monday as they said they would check. Got into Dental chair and explained what was going on. Dentist says well insurance has to be verified and approved before we got work. At this point I'm really upset. I'm a crier not a yeller when I gtlet mad. Yah, one of those people. Tears began to roll down. I told dentist I had this convo previously with admin and they ensured all was fine. 9am rolls by and they still on phone with insurance. I was so upset, I ended up apologizing to dentist and stormed out upset with bib and chain around my neck. 20 mins later Shelbie, Office Manager calls and apologizes. I asked her why was this process so difficult for them? I have been dealing with this since September. She said it got sent to insurance but was still pending. She basically told me I should have called the insurance and pushed them. Well, for one that was never communicated to me in the beginning. Two, how could an office not wanna get paid? 3, more communication. How many times does the ball have to get dropped here? Do not recommend unless you wanna take extra time away from work calling insurance and doing their job, waiting in office longer than usual wait times. So not Happy! I recently started coming here in 2020 for my dental needs! After leaving my last office, this has been such a breath of fresh air! I used to leave my old office in tears every time because all's they would do is berate me on my dental health! I've been working so hard and the staff at HMD has made me feel like the hard work is paying off. Josselyn, my hygienist is friendly and constantly gives great advice on how to promote good dental practices at home. She's very conscious while giving cleanings as sometimes they can be a little irritating. The office is nice and clean and the rest of the staff has been great. If I could give a zero I would. They overcharged me based on my insurance. I had to file a financial complaint with my insurance company. Meanwhile they sent me a bill for additional services which were also covered by my plan - and then sent to collections after Cigna had found in my favor tha I was due a refund and owed NO additional $$$. read more

I came here because my son and husband did a few years ago and they seemed like a good office.. However, hindsight, I just paid what seems to be an insane amount for a "deep clean" and now I feel ripped off and upset. Not only that, but they had the credit lady they're sitting next to me while I still had the bib on in my chair working out payment plans with me to have the services done... It just felt very rushed and forced and unprofessional... I am supposed to go back for a follow up in 3 months, and I think I'm going to cancel and find another office. They try to push services on you like a car salesman, and are constantly trying to refer you to their medical and ortho offices for other services they are trying to tell you that you need. Nice staff, so they are friendly.. but I don't know if I have faith in their recommendations or care. UPDATE: I just checked my explanation of benefits from my visit, and according to my insurance, my mouth guard is not covered and is $600?! The dentist told me that my insurance was covering it! If I get a bill for this, I will be going into their office and raising.. well you know!! I am also paying for some of the images and things they took. Don't you think they should let you know what your insurance covers and ask what you would like to do before they just bill you for it?!?! My husband is supposed to be going for his checkup and cleaning in a couple of weeks, and i think I'm going to find him somewhere else to go. I don't trust this place at all! read more

I'm very pleased with the work Dr.Jun has done on me. I've gone to to him for 3 crowns now and every time he's done amazing work! He makes you feel comfortable during the whole process with him explaining like "ok I'm gonna move your head this way because of this reason" or "ok we are 1/2 way through the process, we just need to do this now. You are doing great!" he explains to you what needs to be done to you before he starts and explains why the things need to be done before he just does it. His customer service skills are a 10 out of 10. I've been to many different dentist in my life and some doctors just come in without even greeting you and just start working on your mouth and that has made me feel uneasy before because 1/2 the time you don't even know what's happening. That's what I like about Dr.Jun you can tell he actually cares about his patients and how they feel during their appointment. read more

I'm very disappointed in this office. We've been going to them for years, and though their hygienists are still fantastic (Thanks for everything Palo) the billing/insurance staff is the most disorganized group I have ever dealt with. We have had our insurance company billed multiple times for one visit that had to be split in two due to blood pressure problems. (We paid upfront, which I recommend you don't do ever!) We have been promised call backs, and they never happen, but they always resend the bill no problem. We are definitely done with them for good, and if you are considering going here, I would definitely think again. Sad to see a once good Dentist Office go downhill so quick. read more

Dr. Patrick Anghel is truly an angel. From the moment I entered he was very welcoming . He made sure to build rapport with me and expressed empathy towards my concerns. The wait time was very reasonable being that it was an emergency visit . He examined my oral health and applied a bracket that fell off from an out of state orthodontist . The receptionist who helped me schedule the appointment was also very nice and helpful . I didn't feel rushed at all during this process. I definitely will be back :) read more

Last week I had pain for a half broken lower CEREC crown (made in-house) 4 years ago. Broke about two years ago but no pain until a few weeks ago. Before replacement she said if I paid 445.00 out of pocket after insurance it would be warranted for 5 years. Nothing in my paperwork mentioned the 5 year warranty. Why wasn't the first crown warranted? They kept machining the new CEREC crown in order to fit properly making it thinner and prone to breakage again. They also shaved the upper tooth to make it fit properly. It should have been a free replace begin with. Hopefully this one will last. Was in the dentist office over 5 hours. Nice personnel but awful experience. Go with a metal crown and save a lot of money. read more

3/28/2016 Its an okay dental office. I chose this place because its a all in one dental office, and its in a convenient location near my home. The office looks great and the staff is good but not the best on patient care and skills. They are be nice but usually I feel that they have a "this is just a job" persona. Although there isn't too much bad's to talk about, but I do have complaints on the wait times which is ranges between 10 mins to 1hr+ in some cases. My last visit was an hour long wait, but that was for an appointment for a tooth extraction. Some of the receptionists doesn't seem that reliable and is half-friendly over the phone and a little more in person. I noticed that they sometimes don't do what they would say they would do, so I would have to call back to see whats up. This casts doubts in my mind if they are going to screw up the billing or my information. I would recommend to make sure that everything is in order before you do any procedures. 9/17/2016 Moved from Iowa to Nevada and this was our first dental experience here in Henderson. Awful. My husband has immaculate teeth, never had braces, much less any dental surgery. We have always gone every six months for regular check ups, so it was a huge surprise when a bit of shadowing on his xray caused  the "need" for a root canal on a tooth he's had no issues with. He immediately called our former dentist who was in total disbelief and told him to get another opinion. My husband declined the root canal, and what do you know? Two years later, he still has no problems with it. A dentist we've seen since then over on the other side of town scoffed at that recommendation. I'd be very careful here- it sounds like they're out to make a quick buck. On another note, my daughter and I had a good experience with Dr. Quinn, and were a bit hesitant to return after my husband's experience, but went anyway. Despite the reminder phone call and email I'd received the day before, they had no record of my appointment. That was the last straw- our family is done with that clinic. read more

I changed to this denist because my old one stopped taking my insurance and my first appointment was not a great experience. This place is just another Vegas denist office trying to make you feel like your teeth look horrible and you need to pay tons of money to fix them. They also take forever to get you in to your appointment yet send you tons of emails and texts messages to make sure you are there early. The front desk and supporting staff were nice to me but the Asian male dentist I saw was a complete jerk! He told me he couldn't do a simple resin procedure which I have gotten done at other dentists with no problem and told me my teeth "look like a 60 year olds" and I am 40. The comment has had me feeling ashamed about my teeth ever since. The hygienist was full of crap too telling me I need costly deep cleaning when I never had that recommended before at any other dentist. The icing on the cake is they did some x-rays which my insurance now says they do not cover and are saying I may owe $800 for. If they don't take that bill away I will be in there raising hell just like the other people who have written true reviews on here. read more

I had been going to this practice for many years and had nothing but poor dental work. Out of the 4 crowns they did they all crumbled or fell out a least once some twice. I had an implant done and I repeatedly told the there was a problem and dr Mugelston basically told me It fine and I was crazy. When went to put the crown in the whole thing fell out. It took over a year to get it right and cost me almost twice what other dentist charge. read more

My daughter will be 2 in two weeks and I thought I should take her in for her very first dental visit. I was VERY IMPRESSED with Dr. Kim and her staff! She was very knowledgeable about my baby's terrible habit of thumb sucking and gave me great tips for what my daughter should and shouldn't eat for her dental health. I went to this dentist for a SECOND no-charge opinion on a Implant procedure. I even took in my X-Rays. They were very cordial, i sat in the chair and they told me they wanted to do their own X-rays. I allowed them to do it assuming that I was still under the original NO-CHARGE stipulation. I got out of th chair (about 15 minutes total) , I departed with NOTHING being said, or presented about ANY charges. A month later I attempted to use to use the over than $750.00 balance remaining in my yearly Insurance Company's allocation for dental procedures only to be told that over $800.00 bill from this dental office had scarfed up my $750.00 balance. I made numerous phone calls, some being 3-way (dental and Insurance company representative) and a agreement was made to return the money to the Insurance Company. They dragged their feet so long (over 2 months) that the year ended (costing me the opportunity to use that money that year). I would not consider using this Dental Group as I consider them TOTALLY unethical, and lacking ANY Integrity. read more

Today I had my first Visit to Henderson Modern Dentistry, and I was so scared! Everyone was patient and they were very thorough and professional. I was surprised that the $49 special had full mouth digital x-rays, plus panoramic x-ray, and a dental cleaning and doctor consult. My Dentist was Dr. Cody Mugleston. He was excellent! I was so nervous throughout and he kept calm and was reassuring. I never felt like anyone was getting upset at the extra time I took prior to choosing a treatment option. They didn't ask for my SS until I decided to use a credit option. I saw someone review earlier that the credit inquiry was "hard". So what! It only is a temporary 2 points (appx) and it allowed me to get the needed work done and pay over time - interest free! Don't be afraid to go here, you will be treated fairly and with compassion. My work isn't done, I waited so long to go to a dentist, and my cavity kept getting worse. Get treated ASAP, you will need less work if you take care of yourself. read more

I came in this morning to the Henderson Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics located at: 366 W. Lake Mead Pkwy in Henderson for a wisdom tooth extraction. I was happy to see that the office was able to "fit me in" with not much of a notice, as an emergency appointment...and have to admit, that my overall experience was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Cody Mugleston made me feel very comfortable and the extraction itself, although somewhat complicated, was in fact...practically painless. In addition to the procedure...my wait time was nominal plus Dr. Mugleston, Krista and rest of the Modern Dentistry Team were friendly, very knowledgeable and extremely professional. UNBELIEVABLE. I have been coming here for years and have loved everything about this practice, until yesterday. Yesterday I had a filling with Dr. Wu at 2pm. Someone by the name of "Florita" or something was the "assistant". As she is holding the suction tube in my mouth I see her nodding off. You know when you fall asleep and your body starts to fall and you catch yourself and your eyes open. THAT IS WHAT THIS WOMAN WHO WAS WORKING IN MY MOUTH WAS DOING. I laid and watched her for a moment or two before I said something to make sure I wasn't CRAZY. I then stopped the dentist from what she is doing. I said I needed someone else to assist the dentist because she was falling asleep. I was BEYOND livid. Which anyone would and should be as I am paying money and trusting this establishment with my health and safety and this happens. The assistant goes on to say "I'm fine. My eyes just burn." Is that why her whole body was almost falling every 4-5 seconds and then she would move the tube. To top it off, not one person apologized for this and my procedure took almost 2 hours for 2 fillings when the dentist said it would be 30 minutes. A lot has changed at this practice from when I started going here and I sure do understand why dentists leave. I will NEVER be back. I have referred a lot of friends and colleagues to this practice and have informed them about this and will ensure no one I know will ever be back here. I have friends who are in dentist school and other acquaintances who are dentists and they have NEVER heard of such a thing. Absolutely unbelievable! read more

We have been to dental offices from the East coast to the West coast. Henderson Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics is the cream of the crop. From as soon as you open the front door you are greeted by the most friendly and welcoming front desk staff. The dental assistants are friendly, knowledgeable and gentle. The dental clinic is loaded with the most modern up to date dental equipment that is in existence (you can go home with a brand new crown in the same day !!!). They accept care credit should you need immediate care where you can pay in installments interest free provided you are responsible. The waiting room is extremely comfortable with coffee, tea or hot chocolate, television, purified water and children friendly. Unfortunately you do become comfortable and then BOOM you are called in as you are never kept waiting long. Henderson Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics runs its business with precision. Of course I must save the best for last. Owner and one of the most talented and well educated dentist we have ever met, throughout the entire country will convert your issues into happiness and quickly at that. After being referred by my boss, I was still optimistic due to the fact that personally going to the dentist is the worst! I can say that after going to Henderson Modern Dentistry I feel totally different. EVERYONE there is so nice, and through it all they were very transparent. When it came to pricing they broke it down for me and not only that they asked me what my priorities were instead of just what they wanted to take care of first like in many other places. Chelsea & William took care of my procedures and they were just amazing, I felt comfortable, I was explained everything thoroughly before anything being done, I was checked on frequently during what they were doing to make sure I was ok. To start, the office staff is increasingly kind and professional. Joshua made sure everything was taken care of from start to finish. Dr. Mugelston, spends time with you one-on-one in his office prior to your exam to get to know you and discuss your visit. I was then whisked off for digital x-rays and then Dr. Mugelson lead the initial exam. We were able to discuss treatment options, the pros and cons of each and create a treatment plan that worked with my insurance and wallet. My hygienist, Johanna, was amazing to say the least! I had a deep cleaning, and from what I have heard from others in the past from other dentists this was pure torture. Johanna made is so easy I almost fell asleep! While I was there I had an old crown replaced and another crown added. With the CAD/CAM this was less than 2 hours and the results are 100% amazing! This morning when I woke I am just a bit sore but only in the jaw mussels. Amazing job guys! If I left anyone's name out Its because I am just shocked how simple this was.
