I'm so confused. We went for the first time and we orders something NOT ON the menu which was "pineapple and grey goose" we ordered two of those (small cups all ice) and then 2 shots of grey goose. All that came out to $54 and I feel like I didn't drink a ounce of liquor. Mind you, I don't care about spending the $54 but it wasn't even on good liquor. Grey goose is $18 in the store. Interesting food experience, not everything was perfect. But that's ok. What I am more interested in rating right now is the awesome response and customer service by the staff, mainly the genuine interest in a great experience that Brandon Felitti (the lead bar tender) had. Brandon was extremely nice from the second we sat down. He was very knowledgeable. He was very attentive. And I appreciate how he handled us when a food item was not prepared correctly. He made a compete effort to resolve the issue. I highly recommend the Gorgonzola waffle fries, and I highly recommend you find Brandon and belly up to the bar. read more

Had elk burger and fish&chips. Big portion, good for hungry people. Elk burger was great. Ordered medium but got more of the rare side which I liked but others may not. Fish & chips was great with 3 big fish pieces. I also ordered Putin that was really good as I have tried the Montreal Putin already. One recommendation I would make to the chef is to go easy on green peppers on both Putin and the elk burger. Service was great. Good pub food in a great location! Visited here on business - a fun sports bar area, large TVs and seating area inside, some outdoor seating as well. Very large menu - almost too big! - you can get anything ... tons of apps, Salads, sandwiches, burgers, sushi, comfort food, pan Asian cuisine ... They have an extensive beer and drink menu as well. The place has good food but TERRIBLE service! We ate at the bar and had to constantly search for the bartender and ask for silverware and napkins when our food came. Bartenders are supposed to talk/tell jokes to customers and give info (that's how you get tipped well). We were excited thinking we could come here often over our vacation but the service sucked. I ordered a Cobb salad and iced tea online. In town for business and it was nearby, just wanted something quick and close to take back to hotel. I didn't check the order when I picked it up; i expected it to be right. I don't know what salad this is, but it's not a Cobb. Or it's missing 2/3 of the ingredients. So basically I paid $30 for some lettuce with a few bits of cheese and tomato in it. I really wanted to like this place because the atmosphere is pretty chill and the decorations are aesthetically pleasing. I particularly enjoy the blue lighting cast upon the walls. I'm giving this place a one star because, despite being a cool bar, the male bartender that helped us was absolutely rude. After answering my questions about the drink menu with a snarky attitude, the bartender kept rushing me to order. After I did, he gave me my drink but walked away without asking for my card. I figured he would be back to grab it (it was already out). He must have thought everyone in my entire party wouldn't be able to hear him talking crap right in front of us but when he finally came back to grab it, he muttered some extremely rude comments about us. This was such a disappointment because in my experience visiting this state, everyone has been so friendly but this bartender definitely takes the prize for being the most rude and unpleasant. Henry's Tavern is in a good spot if hitting the Denver Pavillions. The place is spacious with plenty of seating options from couches, to tables and a large bar area with several tv screens showing different sport games. As to be expected of a place like this the menu is very diverse from burgers and fish and chips to tacos and asian wok entrees. I went with a margherita pizza which was affordable and not too large for one person. The pizza was decent and not overcooked but the crust was a bit bland. Also the pizza had too much cheese (heck when is that ever a problem....) but the issue was that the pizza wasn't brought out right away and it was only slightly warm so it was more like eating the cheese from a cold pizza. Went asked for a table outside that was dirty but empty. Person at front said 15 minutes or inside available now. We chose inside and got put all the way at the back. 15 minutes later no one came by so I walked towards bar and waitress said in a few. 5 minutes later no one still acknowledged we were there so we left. We stayed in downtown Denver for a few days and ate at a handful of restaurants downtown. This restaurant was very good! The menu is big, lots of variety and creativity. The pricing was normal, not super inflated - and the food was good quality. We got the Pretzel appetizer with the Cheddar sauce and the Peanut Butter&Bacon sauce (they let you choose two), both were good! Especially the pb and bacon. Mmmmmm (& the pretzel is YUUUGE). The grilled cheese was yummy, and the ribs were good. Food portions are big, so you can definitely share. This place (along with Otra Vez) were great pit stops on our trip. (But seriously, the Chile Relleno was amazing at Otra Vez, definitely try that). Don't be tempted by The Yard, this place has just as much beer and better food. The TV situation is on point also. I would not recommend Henry's Tavern ever! We waited forever an hour and a half and never got any food. The waiter/owner forgot our order. We ordered drinks five times in a row and they were wrong in the end. Service was terrible and the drinks were week and poor. When I questioned the owner/ waiter he yelled at me and tried to argue with me over five minutes time difference. And he wasted more time yelling at me in the restaurant then he did spending any quality effort into anything behind the bar or in the kitchen . The restaurant was not even at 50% capacity and there was four people standing around the bar and weight station doing nothing. This all happened on a Wednesday night. I would hate to imagine how bad the service would be an actual busy weekend night. Do Not waste your time or money in this bar/ restaurant. Go down the street to three margaritas. The best!!! They have comfy couches to lounge on (and dine) the bar area is pretty spacious and inviting. I recommend trying their Caesar salad!! It is fire roasted so it has a Smokey flavor and the salad doesn't come like traditional salads. Their Cesar salad is fire roasted whole lettuce leaves with roasted veggies and dressing on top. My favorite place to get a salad because the flavor is THAT good. Their pizza is phenomenal, they have a very unique food AND drink menu. My friend and i sat in the bar area at the couches and watched the entire super bowl (which is probably very annoying to do) but they still had great service. Terrible manager and establishment all together. Messed up our drink order (table of only 5), and then didn't refill our waters. By the end of the night, we ordered a drink, which we never got because it took so long. That drink showed up on the bill, but we just wanted to leave so we ended up paying it. Went to Henry's for a business lunch last week. I got a lunch salad - salmon and shrimp - that was really nicely done. They took a head of romaine lettuce, split it down the middle, grilled it, and served the salmon/shrimp mix over the top of the warmed romaine. Really nice plating and was very tasty. read more

Made it for happy hour two nights in a row. Our first night here, we had an awesome time. Our server was friendly and recommended a lot. Our second server is what unfortunately brings the restaurant down a star. She was barely present, even when she was at the table. Seating: We sat in the lounge area, they have really cool couches and booths where you can sit comfortably and chat. Service: Our first server, as explained earlier, was good. Meh. Brought the family here and ordered chili, pizza, street tacos and prime rib. Got the calamari appetizer which was actually pretty good. All meals were on the lower end of being edible. Service was ok which is why it's 3-star in my opinion. If you're looking to have a few drinks and some apps, good place to go. The mac and cheese on our mac and cheese burger resembled a patty it was so burnt. The green chili chicken quesadilla was very bland. Henry's Tavern has a tremendously dirty kitchen. Worms were found in food that a customer was served. The exterminator was called in and he discovered mold under the dish machine growing wildly. The dish area is deplorable, totally filthy and down right disgusting. I'm surprised no one has contracted some type of food born illness. I.e. , E. coli, listeria, salmonella posioning, do to all the muck and mire. Condoms are all in the employees restroom and the food is over priced. For instance, they want almost 20 dollars for some salmon tacos, that have more lettuce then fish. Customers complain about long wait times for food preparation and food is regularly sent back due to being cold or improperly prepared. Overall, it is not a healthy place to eat. read more

We stopped into Henry's Sunday morning for some drinks & a bite to eat before the Broncos game, allured by the signage for $5 Bloody Marys. The decor is an upscale-ish American pub with each corner offering cozy little lounge areas & garage door windows that are probably amazing with the proper weather. We made ourselves comfy near the bar in a corner couch nook after the hostess told us cocktail service was offered. So we perused the menu, chose our drinks, picked our apps & waited for our server. And we waited. And waited. After approaching the hostess stand I was assured a cocktail waitress would be by so I nestled back into the couch eagerly attempting eye contact with every server that walked by our 4 top to no avail. Finally my boyfriend approached the bartender & we were greeted some time after. OK, hurdle jumped. I serve tables so I understand overlooks happen but dang- y'all need some communication amongst each other. Maybe place a cocktail napkin to flag wether or not guests have been greeted? Anyway. Our server was very sweet, super knowledgeable of the menu & provided excellent service once she was present. The Bloody Mary's were delicious but weak, can't complain with the $5 price tag really but I'd probably order a "short" if we were to visit again. The fried calamari app was so greasy the breading literally slid off the ring calamari with every attempt to eat it, a super bummer to my boyfriend who is tentacle shy. I love the tentacles so I happily ate the 2 on the plate & the remainder was left largely uneaten. While our experience was borderline "meh" I'd still try it again. Perhaps Henry's was just having an off day/servers called out/short on the line, etc. so I'm willing to try again! read more

My sister requested items out of her food but she still received them. I had to ask our waiter FOUR times to bring a side of ranch. I came here for a reception and stayed to watch the NCAA tournament. Beer was good and it was cold. The food was good too but we didn't go beyond appetizers. Our servers, both at the bar and in the dinning room, were really nice and friendly. Henry's is a pretty big place as I got lost going to the restroom. For some reason this place feels hidden even though it's right on the 16th street mall. The space is beautiful with tall ceilings and an industrial decor. There are plenty of TVs to watch games. Bar seating is first come first serve. We got a table. Our server was super friendly and did a great job. I believe her name is Gabby. My husband asked for a Guinness, and he wanted it poured correctly (snob). They did a great job. However the Guinness was little bit colder than expected. Unfortunately they were out of a lot of their specialty beers, so I opted for wine. My husband ordered one of their pizzas. I ordered the signature burger. It was great and cooked to order. The pizza was really good. I loved the crust. Overall a good meal, but like past reviews have mentioned the bill was a bit higher than expected and definitely higher in comparison to a lot of the restaurants in the area.
