When we walked in, Larry didn't try to pressure us. He started out by giving us a brief lecture/talk on how to buy a diamond ring, what to look for, what to research on our own. He found out about our budget and then ordered a few diamonds within our budget for us to look at. A week later, we were back looking at diamonds and settings. Aside from the multiple selections of settings on display, he let us know that he could custom make a ring for us for potentially no extra charge, provided we could show in drawings or a magazine what type of style we were looking for. He never tried to upsell us -- of course, he gave us options above what our price range had been but I liked seeing the differences in what your money got you. He didn't go dramatically over our budget. I get so many compliments on my ring -- even from perfect strangers. My diamond sparkles, the setting is lovely with a "halo" look. We were quite stressed out looking for a ring and Larry and his wife took all of the stress out of the equation. My ring finger was not staying a constant size and I needed my ring sized down after our purchase. He happily sized it down at no charge. The gentleman franchisee, or manager (I'm not sure which) was a nice guy, but he looked at each watch and declared that it would cost around $40 each for the replacement. These watches are roughly $100 new, so the calculus failed. I looked up the operation on YouTube, found some appropriate videos, and performed the task myself. $3.99 for each battery, and roughly 10 minutes of my time per watch. The watch Stop probably could have done it in 3 minutes-nice profit margin. They're good as new. When in doubt, look it up on YouTube!

As an anniversary gift, my husband wanted to buy me a ring, but I decided that I couldn't give up my original engagement ring and wedding band so I had a new ring designed utilizing the diamonds. The process was interesting. I looked at rings in the jewelry store to get an idea of what I wanted and then we proceeded to the design process, Marino sending me CAD drawings and then a wax ring was made where I tried it on to get an idea of the design and dimensions. My new ring is gorgeous! Marino is a fabulous designer and so easy to work with. I appreciated his attention to detail and his quick responses to my emails. The design process was fun. I love that Marino designed such a special ring where I still have the original diamonds that my husband gave me 20 years ago. I highly recommend Costello Jewelry!
