However, they were definitely open at around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. One of the reviews mentioned that it was a cash-only establishment. Well, debit and credit cards were accepted, with a $5 minimum. The place was rather small, but they had what we were looking for: various flavors of conchas and other typical pastries one would see a Mexican panaderia. Each concha was $0.80 (as of 06/23/2018). It was one of a few that had price listed. We picked out what four (4) conchas, two (2) fruit empanadas, two (2) peanut butter cookies, and a bottle of Pepsi for about $8. I really miss having a panaderia close by my house. I used to visit one frequently in my old neighborhood. Although I'm not from the south side, I can still count on "La-Concha" for a quick, economical snack whenever I end up in the area.

My friend and I decided to try a cup of their coffee, and we split several pastries to try together. OH MY GOD. We couldn't stop talking about the pastel de nata de chocolate! It was the most perfect custardy, chocolaty, melt-in-your-mouth, pastry! The seasonal coffees were equally dreamy.
