Which I did in fact finish. It's not a giant piece , it was good , maybe make it a bit bigger/ harder ? There was a little trouble with an entree being dumped but that was quickly re-fired in the kitchen and out very fast , no trouble at all, simply an accident. We were cared for by Stephen ( I think ) and team 1, I was offered a desert menu but I had a chocolate cake awaiting me at home, I still received a small sponge cake with whip cream and a delicious strawberry on top, with a candle. Sausage, cheese, marinara, and pepperoni - like Stromboli bites with just enough salt and juice to satisfy. They were HEAVY, which made us glad to have only ordered the six and not the ten count. The Lad ordered a massive burger (see photo), which he devoured faster than he should have. He said it was the best burger he'd had in months. The fries were abundant and flavorful. The cocktail was on special - the name escapes me, but it resembled concentrated OJ in a margarita glass. The Lad enjoyed it with the burger. It wouldn't be my choice to pair with the dish, but to each their own. I had chicken sliders, which were moist inside with a delightful, crunchy breading on fresh slider rolls. The chips were the least appealing. They were dipping chips, which worked with the marinara from the River Rocks, but beyond that represented a LOT of blandness on an otherwise great plate. The risotto was cooked perfectly for me, it was hard to tell what the flavor was though without reading the menu (it was lemon Parmesan). I didn't understand how the risotto got its reddish-orange color though since neither lemon or Parmesan are that color. The asparagus was cooked perfectly, and was pretty good. Center cut Filet 9/10 Ordered medium, it was cooked perfectly with a warm pink center. The mashed potatoes were super dry, they needed cream or butter or something to make them better and more flavorful. The red wine Demi was pretty good, you could definitely taste the wine and it kinda also tastes like mushrooms in a way. Asparagus again, was cooked perfect. Vanilla bean Crème brûlée 9/10 The custard was amazing- definitely a 10/10. The sugar on top is what brought me down a point because it was just so thick, it really overpowered the custard a little bit, so a thinner caramelized sugar layer would have been perfect. Chocolate Lava cake 8/10 Yummy chocolate cake with a molten lava center, paired perfectly with vanilla ice cream. The "lava" in the center though was not very much, and definitely needed a little more.

There is a small parking lot surrounding the restaurant, as well as street parking. Both were full when I arrived. There is a free parking garage across the street behind the storefronts, which ended up being the easiest parking option. For drinks, I ordered the Peach Sangria, and it was excellent. Refreshing, flavorful, and not overly sweet, it paired nicely with dinner and was one of the highlights of the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the: Chicken Marsala Sautéed chicken breast with mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce served over house-made linguini or mashed potatoes & asparagus. Unfortunately, this dish didn't quite meet my expectations. The Marsala sauce itself was decent, but by the time the meal arrived, the linguini was somewhat cold. As a result, the noodles had begun to harden and stick together, which affected the overall experience. Considering the price point, I didn't feel the dish offered good value, and it's not something I would order again. That said, the restaurant's popularity, lively atmosphere, and excellent sangria make me interested in returning. I'd be curious to try some of the other menu offerings on a future visit, as there were several dishes that looked appealing. Overall, while my entrée was disappointing, the atmosphere and drink selection were enough that I'd be willing to give Chocolate Avenue Grill another chance.

My wife and son both ordered burgers, which were OK but nothing particularly memorable. They do offer gluten-free buns, which was a nice bonus and definitely appreciated. Since we were attending a concert, the location was extremely convenient and made grabbing dinner beforehand an easy choice. However, convenience comes at a price here. As someone who is always looking for an excuse to celebrate literally anything (especially if it involves food), this immediately made its way onto my weekend agenda. My adventure buddy and I rolled in around 10:30am and walked straight into what can only be described as a St. Patrick's Day pregame party. The parking lot was full, the bar was packed, and the crowd was decked out in green, shamrocks, and questionable life choices. Despite the chaos, we somehow snagged a booth right away, which felt like a small personal victory. We got seated and... were handed the regular menu. Cue internal panic. Because I had done my homework. I had studied the brunch menu. I had a plan. Thankfully, our server swooped in like a hero, brought us the correct menu, and reassured me that yes, I could still live my best brunch life. Crisis averted. We started with drinks because obviously. My adventure buddy went with the Lucky Leprechaun Martini (Tito's vodka, melon liqueur, pineapple - $11), and I opted for the Jameson Orange Mimosa ($9).
