Located in Milpitas, it's in a corner so you might not see it at first, but don't worry--parking is abundant, so you're good on that front. The kiosk is to the right by the doors as you walk in the store. Heard about this new korean cafe and had to try it with friends! Very cute aesthetic and there is an ordering kiosk inside. Came on Sunday and there was a long line and limited seating. My friends did to-go and it took about 15 minutes for everything to come out. GRAPE CROFFLE (4/5) - I loved the croffle itself! It was really good and better compared to the other ones I've had in the past. The grapes were sour but was refreshing. - Not worth $10.25 (not including taxes/tip). STRAWBERRY MILK TEA (5/5) - This was really good and I didn't do any adjustments. I loved how the strawberries were cut! Instead of eating tiny strawberry bits, the strawberries were thinly sliced into rectangles. This gave the drink more chew and strawberry flavor. Other drinks: 1) Peach Lychee Tea & 2) Jasmine Berry Tea - My friends got these drinks and it was okay. For sweetness levels, they were only allowed 30% or 100% sweetness. 1) Peach Lychee Tea (30%): this was ok. The drink was very light in flavor, which makes me think if the sweetness level (syrup?) had anything to do with it. Super slow service on a SLOW day with just me and my boyfriend in the store. Waited over 30 minutes for a mango snow bingsoo and when I checked with the worker, they said they forgot about our order. Been seeing this place show up on my feed for awhile now and decided it was time to go and try it out. This place is located in a shopping center near a sherwin Williams store with plenty of parking spots. The shop itself was pretty cute, but not a lot of seating areas. If there is a large group of friends, I dont think you'll be able to sit down. They also have a little area in the back to take pictures with and a prop area too. I thought that was adorable. When you walk right in, there is a kiosk that you can place your order at. Not sure if it was the kiosk, but it wasn't registering our touch sometimes or it was a bit slow though. I've been quite interested in the whole croffle lately. I love croissants and waffles so why not croffle? We ordered the boba croffle to try and also a selection of drinks to try. it was pretty good, but was a bit wayyy too sweet to eat with a yuzu sparkling-ade. Probably suggest if you eat that drink it with tea or some coffee to balance out the sweetness. There are other croffle selections as well and I would probably come back to try a few other ones. Almost missed it because HHD's store front didn't seem like much.. until you walk in and you are greeted by their display of their most popular item, croffle. There's savory and sweet croffle options and we went with the strawberry and banana one. There's also other dessert and drink options on the menu but we were all full from dinner already to try anything else. I would give this place a 3.5 (but rounded it up) because the price of the croffle was on the pricier end. However, I do really like the texture of the croffle so make sure to eat it while it's fresh and hot! Parking can get packed, especially during lunch hour so be prepared to park far if it's busy. Walk in and they have a display of all the waffles they have. Both sweet and savory. You can pay cash at the register and I'm also assuming cash if you didn't want to do the kiosk. For food: we ordered the banana strawberry 4/5. I loved the flavors of it all i would order it again. And then ordered the pesto pepper one i give this a 3/5. The flavors were there it's just it was lacking warmth (temperature) Drinks: friend ordered a ube shake and loved it. I ordered the strawberry matcha with boba. I would also give it a 3/5. I'm usually one to go for 25%-50% sweetness at almost every other place but the milk tea had no tea taste so I felt like I was drinking diluted milk. Tapioca was fairly hit or miss with some of them being a great texture, some being undercooked and some being absolutely flavorless. Green Apple Lime & Aurora Berry, everything is made with syrups. Unless you liked T-Pumps during their prime you probably won't like these. However the plus of being syrup based is that they are sweet! The menu for Heuk Hwa Dang is extensive and there are many dessert options to choose from. My friends and I actually selected a couple and ordered them to share. The only one I tried out of the ones we ordered was the matcha bingsoo. I felt like the price of bingsoo that HHD had was pretty standard. We ordered the matcha, but we were surprised that the container the bingsoo was served in had a huge pole in the center of it, so it actually took up more volume of the bowl than we anticipated (you can see it if you look closely at the center of my photo), resulting in less bingsoo to consume . The matcha bingsoo also had red beans, mochi balls, and whipped cream in addition to the matcha shaved ice. I wish the matcha shaved ice had a stronger matcha flavor - it was a little on the bland side. The mochi balls actually tasted more like marshmallows, and I did not think they went well with the matcha shaved ice. If I go here again, I would order a different flavor of bingsoo because the matcha one did not completely satisfy my taste buds. My friends enjoyed their croffles and drink.
