So happy to see the Bay Area's first Milksha location! We've been to their Taiwan locations and they have a great reputation for high quality. The Single Origin Black Tea Latte is amazing. Outstanding caramel-like flavor from the Sri Lankan tea, whole milk (not powder), and lighter amount of sugar. Mango Orange smoothie was great for the kids, tasted natural and not too sweet. Jasmine Iced Tea with no sugar and green tea jelly was refreshing and brewed right (not bitter). Will definitely come here again, and hopefully we'll see more Milksha locations in the Bay Area. Hard to find a boba spot in the bay nowadays that's still about $5, but Milksha delivers! No wait on a Friday; I ordered a simple jasmine green milk tea with green tea jelly (one topping is included!) and got it after about 5 minutes. The store is small but there were two seats to sit down at while waiting. The tea itself was alright. I really liked the green tea jelly, but I wish I could've tasted the tea more. I'd say lower sweetness is important here too. No complaints for the price though! read more

We were craving a good drink after picking up my daughter from school and noticed this place recently opened, so we had to give it a try. The cashier was very attentive and helpful while we were ordering. We ordered: - Cloudy Cream Strawberry Uji Matcha Latte - Cloudy Cream Uji Matcha My daughter absolutely loved the strawberry matcha latte. I ordered the regular Cloudy Cream Uji Matcha and it was very good too. The sweetness level was just right and the flavors blended really well together without being overpowering. While waiting for our drinks, I noticed a sign next to the kiosk saying customers can get 15% off their first order. Kind of a bummer the cashier didn't mention it to us while ordering. Huge disappointment :(((( It's not as good as their TW locations. We only got 2 simple drinks and the wait was soooooo long. It didn't look like a lot of people ordered too. We stood there after ordering to wait and they did not call a single number for 10 min straight. Everyone was confused since no drinks were coming out at all. The lady was nice and apologize for the wait but it just did not make sense. This place is located inside great mall and it doesn't really have tables / chairs for people to hang out. Most people just use the benches outside. I probably won't go back as ume tea tastes much better. read more

I came across this drink place that used to be Zero. I decided to try it as they had fresh taro. It was pretty good. You have an option to pick fresh milk or oat milk. Overall, I enjoyed my drink. You can order on the kiosk. There is also a 15% off your drink with a welcome special if you order by the QR code. They have opened for about a month. I was so thirsty that I finished the fresh taro drink without taking a photo of the drink. Overall, the taro was pretty fresh and I had it with oat milk. I really wanted to love this place, but my visit was just okay. To be fair, it might have been my drink choice. I ordered the 'Give This a Thai' (Thai Iced Tea). On the plus side, I love that they don't seem to rely on the heavy artificial coloring you usually see in Thai tea. However, the flavor was noticeably muted and lacked the strong tea profile I was hoping for. I was super happy to see they finally have milksha out here in the states because it reminds me of my time in Taiwan. You can either order at the 2 self service kiosks or up front. It's not a sit down type of place since the store is so small but that's fine since it's inside the mall. I got my go-to taro milk drink. It was ready within 5 mins. Not too bad since there were 2 orders before and after me. Honestly I didn't have too high expectations based on previous reviews but was still hoping for something considering none of them got the taro drink. Sadly the $7 drink left me pretty disappointment. There were no taro chunks nor was the drink creamy. Just had a light smear of taro paste around the cup and the milk was light and watered down. We decided to try this place since this was the only boba around at this section of the Great Mall. It's 2 stores down from Jollibee. They have 3 self-service kiosks, a couple of seats and a monitor to give status of your order (which I like so you're not blind to when your order is ready). I got the brown sugar with honey boba. Milksha in Taiwan is one of my favorite boba chain. I've never been disappointed by a Milksha before until today. The drink options on menu were mostly different than the Milksha I saw in Taiwan just a few days ago, so I was a bit sad about the limited options. I would've thought it's a different store if it weren't for the logo. I figure they'd expand their menu eventually, but for this visit, I decided to stay safe with my drink choice & went w/the jasmine latte with honey boba. 1. Jasmine green tea was oversteeped so it had that extra bitter taste 2. The honey boba was okay, but it wasn't sweetened for some reason. It's also a bit chewier than the ones in Taiwan. Chewy, but not QQ enough iykyk (the comparison is still fresh in my mind because I purposely got Milksha as my last drink before ending my trip so that I can have something to compare to) 3. The taro paste was very chunky & not smooth like paste at all Hopefully their owners are reading reviews and actively improving their quality because I really loved Milksha in Taiwan & this specific location's standard is not on par with the other existing Bay Area boba places at similar price point. Came to check out Milksha after some Taiwanese friends recommended it as a well-known chain in Taiwan! Mango lemon green tea - I got it with 50% sweetness as well as green tea jelly. So delicious and refreshing! Was really happy with this one and enjoyed the mango pieces in the drink Cha-cha churro - kind of like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in a drink. I didn't know this was a Taiwan chain before walking in. I just saw this on one of the ad boards around the mall and thought the design was cute! I ordered a black milk tea latte just to test it out. It was one of those milk teas where you can taste the sugar but I think it's cane sugar (?). It tastes like what I'd expect of a tea latte which is NOT a milk teas IMO. Tea lattes are a bit weaker in tea flavor. Maybe LOL but I actually like the taste of cane sugar. Depending on the day I would think this is really nice. Doesn't have the strong strong tea taste that would be my favorite but I would come back for this because the price is decent and it's a nice delicate drink! read more

The salted cream cloud on top of the strawberry matcha was a highlight -- perfectly balanced and really elevated the drink. Ordering was easy with multiple screens available. Cute shop overall, though worth noting there are only four small stools inside, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to linger. In the great mall so a nice treat to have when walking around. We got two drinks and they were both good however their boba is so chewy soft that it gets stuck together and is impossible to suck up the straw. So recommend getting a different topping but the boba is tasty read more

I walked into Milksha on a whim while at the mall with my family today. I was greeted warmly at the door by a worker who offered me a paper menu to look at, then she ran behind the register to be ready to help me. I was so excited seeing Milksha on Yelp when looking for boba in NorCal since it used to be one of my favorite boba shop in Taiwan. Unfortunately, it is nothing like the ones oversea. Luckily, the drink I got was ok, but nothing too special. Their other milk drinks are either too sweet or not so much flavor. Store was a bit dark and small with just one or two staff on a busy Sunday night. Sadly, I won't be back as there are way more other options in the bay area. read more

You can order at the cashier or at one of the two kiosks available. I didn't notice that there was a welcome promotion for 15% off first orders until after I placed mine. Cashier was friendly and gave me a stamp rewards card as well as a sticker. It took about 10 minutes for one drink but there were many people coming in and out of the store to get drinks before me. Overall, the store itself is kept minimal yet cute with little seating inside as you wait for your order. It's decorated with jars of tea leaves and matcha supplies which added to the aesthetic. I got a cloudy cream uji matcha at 30% sweet. With tax, it came out to be 7.60. I expected my drink to still be super sweet but surprisingly, it was not overly sweet and the 30% adjustment felt fine. The cloud cream was thick and mainly sat at the top of my drink before mixing it in. There's not a strong matcha flavor despite the intense green appearance. It's slightly grainy but not to an extent that bothers me, just something that I noticed. I'd say it leans towards a green tea flavor instead. The drink was okay, not the best matcha but seems like a decent boba place in the mall and I'd rather try a different drink from here next time. read more

Love Milksha in Taiwan! Saw them open up at Great Mall a few months ago and gave them a waiting period before stopping by. It's a small shop that's bright and easy to find. Not many areas to sit though, more of a grab and go. They have 2 kiosks to order from in addition to ordering at the counter. The menu has a good variety of options from lattes, teas, and fruity teas. I went with the Taiwan oolong tea latte with boba (came out to a little less than $7). I was informed a few minutes after I placed the order that they were making a new batch of boba and it would be a 10 minute wait, so I asked if they could just refund me the topping but I'd still take the tea to go. They were super nice about it and refunded me the whole thing AND I still got my drink. It was really good- pretty sure I'll be back whenever I'm at the Great Mall! read more

I was so stoked to learn that its first US location would be in Milpitas, and even better that it would be inside Great Mall. There is just a little something missing from all the drinks I've ordered here. I've been a handful of times since they've opened, and something is still off. This is not Milksha. This is scamsha. There is practically no overlap between this and Taiwan's true Milksha. I had Milksha a week ago in Taiwan so I'm making this review in hopes they improve. Firstly- the menu is NOTHING like the taiwan menu. Or any boba menu. It's extremely short. There are a couple drinks added for american tastes which is nice! But you should not take away the drinks expected of Milksha's regular menu. The service was normal. Nothing special. The inside of the store is quite small. I ordered their Taro milk which I had high hopes for. The taro was hard. Unlike taro paste at Truedan (rest in peace), this taro paste is not soft. The milk was pretty good per their moniker but it did not save the drink. For their price and this being the first Milksha in the US this is not acceptable. My favorite boba place in Taiwan was not supposed to be like this in the US. read more

This milk tea shop is originally from Taiwan, and I stopped by on a Friday afternoon with no line at all. It's conveniently located next to Jollibee. Ordering was super easy -- just use the machine, and my drink was ready in about 5 minutes. I got their recommended item, the Cloudy Cream Uji Matcha. There's no option to adjust the sugar level, but it wasn't too sweet for me (and I usually get 0% sugar). The matcha flavor is strong and real -- not like some places where all you taste is milk. read more
