    Coconut Mango Boom

I got the coconut mango boom from here and i thought it was great. A sweeter drink but not too sweet. And I loved all the different textures and different flavored that changes as you drank down the drink. I would mix it some but not too much. You order from a kiosk and it is pretty quick. I would show your number to the staff after like 5 minutes cause they don't call out a ton of numbers.

Wait time when ordering online is often inaccurate, staff are not friendly (but undeniably efficient), and and pick up process is quite chaotic, but the tea is consistently and reliably solid. I got the brown sugar milk tea and the pearls were perfectly sweet and chewy; definitely the highlight of the drink!

Standard Heytea location in Chinatown. You can also order your drinks ahead of time on the app since there's usually a long wait time for the drinks to be made. The drinks taste good, same as other Heytea locations. It definitely is crowded inside but they have a decent amount of seating.

Super busy store on a weekend evening even with all the other options nearby (HY is classic ) but service was still quick yet friendly and the operation was efficient. Got a brown sugar boba, warm, because I get intimidated by all the other options but really want to try the Mango Grapefruit Boom that I've seen a few Yelpers rave about. They have seasonal specials + a tooon of fruit tea-based options + a long list of toppings s and mix-ins.

A Heytea located in Chinatown. AC hits right at the doorway, but is weaker in the middle of the shop and seating area. One ordering kiosk and no one manning the counter register. All three employees working on drinks. And no real announcement when my drink was done - it just sat there and I figured I had the only grape juice so went up and asked them (the TV said I was still in progress, 10min to go..) guess they need a new system? At least they weren't out of anything. The fruit tea - nicely you can order it without the Jasmine tea. So basically turns into a fruit slushie (the crisp grape bloom). That was tasty.

I ordered the coconut mango boom, which was amazing! I loved how the coconut flavor and condensed milk paired with the mango flavor, and I enjoyed the texture of the sago. The drink was super flavorful and tastes like a better version of mango sticky rice or mango pudding!

This location is not as busy as the other location on Grand Street. Very quick to order and receive drink. There was only one other person ahead of me. Drink was made quickly and didn't have to wait around much. Ordered the special Wicked drink and love the colors and the dragonfruit taste and the fusion with the matcha. I believe the drink is for this weekend, am not sure if it will be sticking around on their menu. I dined in at one of tables with my drink. No one bothers you. By the time I was done, the whole place was pretty packed. Cant wait until they do other specials because they always come up with unqiue ideas.

There are sooo many tea shops in Manhattan's Chinatown... I wanted to try them ALL! BUT, of course, our first stop had to be HeyTea because they're so consistently good! We ordered our usual, the mango grapefruit boom, with less ice & less sugar. I noticed that they have bigger cup sizes here available to order, compared to the Boston locations. So, with ended up getting the XL size for a little more $. The drinks were delicious as always. Love that every other sip you get a chunk of fresh mango! It meshes well with the coconut milk, sago, & mango jasmine tea! + the tartness from the grapefruit, SO YUMMY. Highly recommend swinging by to try their mango drinkie! Their matcha is also out of this world!

My go-to matcha spot for get that matcha fix, great quality drinks and has the matcha flavor unlike many other places. The matcha jelly in the triple supreme matcha latte is my new favorite (can't go wrong with the coconut milk jelly either) The service is like any other mobile order type place, but during promotions like BOGO, they app is always out of service. The stores themselves give a very open concept and clean feel, the all white design looks nice

Decided to try Heytea on their matcha promotion day of buy one get one. Terrible idea. It was a disaster for me and success in some ways for them. I came at 2:30. They told me 2 hours wait. I had things to do so I ordered and came back. 2 hours later, I'm still waiting. My number popped up later than numbers assigned after me. Now they're telling ppl who want to order that it'll take one hour. Despite my dissatisfaction with the wait time, I finally got my cloud coconut blue matcha and the cloud matcha latte at 5pm. The cap of the cup is pretty nifty, it slides to the side to open and close. It's a way to preserve your drink from spilling, as well as tasting the layers of the cheese foam and your beverage. The drinks were overall good. I enjoyed the coconut pudding on the coconut blue matcha. I hope the overworked staff were paid extra beyond tips, due to the volume of orders and handling of disgruntled customers. I also found it humourous that their website advertised a zen environment but it was anything but for this day.

Rating: 6/10 Date Last Visited: 8/23/2025 I ordered the Yumberry Boom ($8.50). I normally really like drinks from Heytea, but the one I ordered from this location did not hit the same. It didn't feel too much like a slushie, and the yumberry flavor wasn't very strong. For $8.50, I am expecting a lot more from the drink. This location is a lot smaller than other Heyteas, so maybe the quality control is a bit lacking. Overall, I would recommend Heytea in general, but it felt like this location wasn't very good.

Overall: A // 5 stars My new favorite HeyTea location. It combines the convenience being located right in Chinatown with the added benefit that there isn't a massive line of people, since there's so much competition nearby. I tried their new Matcha Coconut Bobo which is the definition of a performative male drink, which balances the aesthetic with a novel flavor palette. The expansion of their menu beyond milk-based drinks has been great, and now their menu is full of good drinks beyond the OG Mango Coconut Boom. Not bad, quality delicate ingredients, a bit expensive, overhyped with lines. Was in the neighborhood and early enough in the day to have caffeine (before 3pm) & finally tried HeyTea to see why it's so popular. Have passed by a few locations in Flushing & Herald Square. Someone in my Queens Foodie FB group who teaches in Flushing and is constantly gifted bakery items and bubble tea; swears this is the best place for bubble tea. I got the 2025 summer special Matcha blue coconut drink (about $8). Was there around 12 PM on a weekday and there were only 1 or 2 people in line. About 6-8 people in the shop waiting for their drinks. The workers are constantly but calmly busy! Kiosk ordering only. It was about a 10 minute wait for my drink. The drink is coconut water, with layers of butterfly pea leaves coloring (not much flavor), matcha cloud foam, and coconut jelly rectangles. The one size is like a St-rbucks grande. It was very coconut forward & the matcha cold foam was very nice. The lids are a little bit awkward, you slide the pie slice shape over to open the lid. There was also a sticker telling you to sip out a 45° angle and enjoy the layered drink. I didn't realize this and started stirring it with a straw. I also didn't realize that it would have jelly in it, it was a nice surprise for a 85°F day. Overall, a nice once in a while treat, but not something I would constantly go back for - cost-wise. It seems like they have a lot of repeat customers, in addition to new customers. The person behind me told me that this was his 3rd visit. HeyTea changes their specialty drink menu a lot and I think this is what keeps people coming back. I wouldn't mind trying a regular bubble tea for comparison or the oolong flavor. The person in my Food group highly recommends the Crisp Grape Boom (it might still have a tea base). The stores and graphic design is sleek and minimal and matches the quality of the ingredients. However, the long lines and crowds of people waiting affect the experience. There's usually a few low couches and stools with counters, but the doors are always open and on a hot summer day it feels more like a to-go only business. The Experience is waiting in a room with a lot of other people for their bubble tea... The only criticism and suggestion is to have more details of the ingredients for each drink on the menu or on signage. I had no idea that my drink had coconut jellies in it. And this may affect people who have sensitivities or textural issues (maybe they just want a plain tea or slush). This Chinatown location doesn't have much detail in their kiosk either. The Flushing location did have more detail in the kiosk, but that makes the decision making & ordering process even longer. Is this is why there's always a line?

This location is accessible via A train at 42nd Street Port Authority. Upon arriving there was a woman in front of me arguing with the staff persistently haggling the price to be lowered, but to no avail. Woman, no means no! There are other bubble tea businesses within the locale that may appease your needs, but not this particular Gong Cha whom apologized for the inconvenience of the inability to lower the price on the product ordered. As I waited patiently, I took photos of this business' environment. The staff stated the cash register is not working and currently unable to accept either credit or debit cards, but cash only payments. Ergo, I was unable to obtain a sales receipt nor a drink label printed. I wonder if the staff reboot the register or check their internet connection to be offline as the cause of non-functioning O/O/O. [1] Customer service is average. Well... if the staff can lower the price for one customer why not lower it for ALL customers? Surely, why not make my drink order as inclusion for lowering the price, please? Hell no, of course not! The conclusion was ironclad. In the real world, this cannot happen. As I stood on line waiting for this woman to let go and walk away from her argument I had shrunk to my own gnawing thoughts. I took photos of the atmospheric environment. There is a cute signage: "Bubble tea where refreshment meets creativity." The pink metal water bottle is very adorably cute which is something that I would certainly purchase. Peach green tea, medium $7.25 My favorite default topping grass jelly (aka herbal jelly) loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my standard request for $0.75 which was good, but not served chilled. At 30% sugar level request, it was slightly higher in sugar content. Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg would shake his head at me in disbelief with disapproval and disappointment for consuming this excessively sugary drink. The peach green tea was not the cause of the sweetness but a man-made sugar embed measurement error. Nevertheless, this Gong Cha satisfied my bubble tea fix as it is now my addiction - in addition to my other addiction, writing. [1] O/O/O = Out Of Order

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil.
