I stopped by here for a sample of the Mango OGM, and it was so good I ended up coming back every single day for the rest of my trip. This isn't your average, sugary boba shop, you can actually taste the quality of the tea and the fresh fruit. It's light, fragrant, and incredibly refreshing. If you're in NYC, do yourself a favor and try this drink at least once; just be warned, you'll probably end up like me and start planning your day around it!

We stopped by this charming Taiwanese boba tea shop while exploring Chinatown and were so glad we did! The interior was clean, welcoming, and beautifully decorated, making it a great place to take a break from sightseeing. The boba tea was delicious, and we especially loved that the cups had convenient to-go handles. The staff was friendly and even offered us samples to try before ordering, which was a nice touch. If you're in Chinatown and craving a refreshing drink, I highly recommend stopping by!

It is the ambiance that makes you experience tea in a new way. Plus the employees are soo good at "making the tea" And you can control the amount of sugar/ice/etc.

Good flavor tea with a great helping of fresh fruit added. I got the oolong tea with peach flavor which was nice and strong with strong floral elements. My only drawback was the prices were steep even just for tea shop. An okay one and done for me.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait 30 minutes to get a $12 latte. It was very busy in the store, and the estimated wait time board was inaccurate. The drink itself was tasty. It had great natural tea flavor and was not too sweet when adjusted to less sugar, but I didn't find it to be worth the wait and the cost.

Walking throughout Chinatown and having a craving for bubble tea, my group stumbled into the very first storefront we could find - and definitely wasn't disappointed. The first thing to hit you here is the smell of fresh tea leaves - pretty similar to the smell you would find if visiting HEYTEA, which seems to be the common thing boba shops are striving for now. It's a very modern, sleek space with futuristic tea barista machines that make you want to work here and be able to use. Multiple signs around the store encourage ordering ahead online via a QR code, but we were quickly discouraged with that idea once we realized that method didn't take Apple Pay - so straight to the cashier we went. The staff seems nice, but didn't seem as if they were in the mood to be answering anyone's questions about the menu m, discouraging a few patrons in front of us from successfully placing an order. Conclusuon: the tea was fresh and tasty, though I wished there were less toppings as it was 1/3 of my cup. It seems as if they're aiming to be trendy, which is fun, but definitely could be overhyped.

Pretty decent bubble tea .. not my favorite bubble tea place but still is good .. got the bubble milk tea and was pretty good

Best boba I've ever had. The tapioca pearls were just so soft I've never had better bubbles. The teas are very high quality and aren't too sweet. Would definitely recommend this spot as I was never a huge fan of boba before.

It's a very nice shop with some seats inside. As we were waiting in line to order, they gave us some samples of an orange drink, and it was pretty good. We got the peach oolong tea with konjac and the pineapple oolong tea, which were both okay. I probably would not get a fruit drink next time though. The drinks itself were very pretty! We did have to wait about 10-15 minutes for our drinks, on a Friday afternoon.

Good Bubble Tea Place. I do feel that this place tastes very natural and not like a fake or artificial-flavored powder milk tea. It was a chilly night in NYC so I got my Taro Ball Tea Latte with less sugar and less ice, it was perfect for me! Would definitely come again. It is a place that is very aesthetic and calming inside. It was pretty crowded in the place though!

A friend from NYC kept telling me to go here. Since I am from Taiwan, I have been thinking of stopping by here for some time now. I finally stopped by to get a drink while we were in Chinatown. They have unique teas, measure every ingredient, and use a machine that looks like an espresso maker to brew tea. This place seems to be very busy; there were so many people hanging around. Overall, the store was very clean, and the service was very good. It took a little while to get a drink, but it was worth the wait. I would go back there again if I were in Chinatown.

Very welcoming! I really like the person who took my order. He was very nice explaining the menu to me and the different types of tea they have. He also gave me a sample of one of their house teas. It was not very busy when I went so it was very peaceful and calm. My order came out quick and they had an electronic voice call out my name, I thought it was pretty neat. The drink was super refreshing, I believe I got the passionfruit house tea. I liked the bits of passionfruit in it.

This is the second time I'm here. The last time I was here was a year ago. Upon entry, the place is busy but there's people and staff are busy preparing orders. The counter and ambiance is clean but the seating area was full of straws paper and left overs cups with sticky tables. Disappointed. The staff gave me sample of high mountain pouchong with orange and it was so good. So excited to try another drink since I was not fully convinced last time. I decided to order Dong ding oolong tea with mousse after requests for recommendations and questions the cashier couldn't answer except is to you preference. After about 10 minutes wait, we got it drink. The packaging as always was nice. But the drink just didn't hit the spot. The tea felt diluted and the mousse was not enough to enhance the tea. It tasted like diluted mild tea. Very disappointed. Probably won't try again. Sorry, not my cup of tea... no pun intended.

I'd come back for the regular milk tea with boba, really solid choice. Tea was nicely brewed for a deep flavor. Boba was excellent.

This location is accessible via A train at 42nd Street Port Authority. Upon arriving there was a woman in front of me arguing with the staff persistently haggling the price to be lowered, but to no avail. Woman, no means no! There are other bubble tea businesses within the locale that may appease your needs, but not this particular Gong Cha whom apologized for the inconvenience of the inability to lower the price on the product ordered. As I waited patiently, I took photos of this business' environment. The staff stated the cash register is not working and currently unable to accept either credit or debit cards, but cash only payments. Ergo, I was unable to obtain a sales receipt nor a drink label printed. I wonder if the staff reboot the register or check their internet connection to be offline as the cause of non-functioning O/O/O. [1] Customer service is average. Well... if the staff can lower the price for one customer why not lower it for ALL customers? Surely, why not make my drink order as inclusion for lowering the price, please? Hell no, of course not! The conclusion was ironclad. In the real world, this cannot happen. As I stood on line waiting for this woman to let go and walk away from her argument I had shrunk to my own gnawing thoughts. I took photos of the atmospheric environment. There is a cute signage: "Bubble tea where refreshment meets creativity." The pink metal water bottle is very adorably cute which is something that I would certainly purchase. Peach green tea, medium $7.25 My favorite default topping grass jelly (aka herbal jelly) loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my standard request for $0.75 which was good, but not served chilled. At 30% sugar level request, it was slightly higher in sugar content. Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg would shake his head at me in disbelief with disapproval and disappointment for consuming this excessively sugary drink. The peach green tea was not the cause of the sweetness but a man-made sugar embed measurement error. Nevertheless, this Gong Cha satisfied my bubble tea fix as it is now my addiction - in addition to my other addiction, writing. [1] O/O/O = Out Of Order

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit at Port Authority 42nd Street's A, C, E trains and buses near the peripheral of Times Square.
