Choco Oreo Crunch Bingsoo and Ube Mochi Waffle

WOW! Impressive Service , location , ambiance food quality and not only that 1st time I see a place fully packed. Keep it up really great one of a kind experience.

Kiosk is on your blind spot when you walk in! Nicely lit interior with a few seatings making it quite a nice dessert place to hang out. Unfortunately, their main item sold out so we opted for the strawberry matcha bingsoo which was okay. Matcha flavor was a little lackluster but the ice cream on top was good. Strawberry cream wasn't good and made the bingsoo worse in my opinion. Points for presentation.

My sister and I tried Heybings' new location in Irvine. We've been to the Costa Mesa location and we loved their desserts and we're excited that another location opened up. We tried their matcha cloud. It was fun to eat. It comes with cereal and matcha ice cream. Their ice was super smooth and "not too sweet." Next time we want to try their matcha romance which comes with red bean and mochi. Of course when you get bingsu, you have to try their waffles. We tried their black sesame one and it paired well with our dessert. I personally like the Nutella one better. They have indoor seating but you can also do take out. I also really like that they have single servings for their shaved ice.

First time at this location, parking is busy but there is a structure. It was really busy for a sat night, my group sat outside. We got the matcha cloud and it was super yummy!! I loved the presentation of the dessert and the cream top was delicious and not too sweet. We also got the black sesame mochi waffle which was super yummy.

Heybings is located in a strip mall with ample above ground and underground parking. I was warmly greeted by the staff when I entered and I really liked the modern decor of the place. My friend and I shared the Mango ice and the Matcha Strawberry. Even the small size is a good portion already. The mango ice had good flavor but the ice is plain ice so make sure you mix the syrup well so you don't run out of syrup fast like we did. Matcha Strawberry is matcha ice topped with strawberries and syrup and the ice is a lot more flavorful because it is matcha ice. I really liked the matcha which had a hint of bitterness like real matcha and the sweet strawberry syrup was a good compliment to the bitterness. They also have pastry that I didn't have a chance to try but they look delicious.

I tried this place twice and it was better the second time! The first time I had the black sesame bingsoo. It was a great texture and had a good flavor, but the flavor was super mild. I really wanted the flavor to be more punchy. It was still good! Just wanted more flavor The second time I had the Caramel and Biscoff and enjoyed that much more. It was waaay more flavorful and had great texture. Quite addicting! I like that this dessert isn't too sweet and doesn't make you feel heavy after. Considering it's a sweet dessert, it feels reasonably light and I like that! I'll be back for more! I want to try a waffle next time :)

I'm a big lover of all things bingsoo--it's essentially dessert without the guilt! I've been a regular at the Heybings location in Costa Mesa, so I was thrilled when they opened another spot in Irvine! Since I was already in the area for dinner, I knew I had to check out the new location for another sweet treat, especially after spicy noodles at Six Alley. ITEMS TRIED: + Caramel and Biscoff Bingsoo (large) - $15 While I usually opt for the Mango bingsoo, I decided to try something new this time: their seasonal flavor, Caramel and Biscoff. I'm so glad I did--it's now a personal favorite! The light, airy, and mildly sweetened shaved ice pairs perfectly with the biscoff and caramel toppings layered throughout. As you continue scooping toward the bottom, you'll be delighted to discover coffee jelly hidden inside, which adds even more depth to the flavor. My only critique is that compared to other bingsoo spots (Ktown, Buena Park), Heybings is on the pricier side with noticeably smaller portions. The large cost us $15, which feels a bit steep for what you get. AMBIANCE: Cute cafe aesthetic with simple, wooden decor. There are different types of seating available (tables, bars), though not too much space for larger groups. SERVICE: Servers are quick, friendly, and efficient. However, we did have to clean our own table before sitting down; there were still crumbs and melted ice left from the previous group. OVERALL IMPRESSION: Despite the price and minor cleanliness issue, the quality of the bingsoo and pleasant atmosphere make this worth a visit. I'll definitely be back!

Strawberry and matcha. Additional mochi and red beans on the side.

We ordered the matcha and strawberry flavors, and I also added extra mini mochi and red bean toppings. I liked that they offer a small, individual-sized portion. The texture wasn't as smooth as typical Taiwanese shaved snow, but the flavor was ok. They have plenty of seating inside, as well as two tables outside. I'm not sure about the service, though--the cashier seemed annoyed to be at work. I greeted her first but didn't get a greeting back, just a very sour expression. I would try them again though. I like to try their different menu items.

    Matcha Strawberry Bingsoo ... yummy!

New favorite dessert spot! The matcha strawberry was "bingsoo yummy" at Heybings Desserts & Coffee; a must-try. Everything tasted so fresh and not too sweet! I also appreciated how spotless and organized the place was. 10/10 for speed and quality!

    Tammy T.

    - Black Sesame Bingsu (4/5) - Very smooth and flavorful. Wish it didn't have red bean. - Ube Mochi Waffle (3.5/5) - Very tasty but overall dish was dry. They should offer a sauce or maybe condensed milk. - Injeolmi Latte (1/5) - No flavor. So bland. We didn't even drink half of it. Parking in the lot or free garage. Not a ton of seating but people turn over fast.

$1 to go bag and ice pack

Wow this place is phenomenal. The mango was so fresh and yummy and the ice is like no other I've tried. The girl warned me about how it's best to eat here but to-go is great with ice pack and bag for just $1. 25 mins later and it was still perfect! I've been dreaming of this since I had it and want to try the strawberry next time! I asked if I can do a strawberry mango but they don't combine flavors like that. It's a must -try for sure!

Strawberry Cheesecake & Melon Lime Breeze

10.11.25 - came here after dinner and wow this place was packed! There was a line out the door and there were others waiting for their order. All tables inside were taken too. It wasn't too bad though. By the time we received our orders, a few spots opened up. We were pretty full so we each ordered the single cups. I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake single cup ($8.5) and my friend ordered the Melon Lime Breeze single cup ($9). My strawberry cheesecake cup was soooo good. You get milky snow topped with strawberries, strawberry puree (or jam?), cheesecake bites, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. YUM! I'm not a fan of melon so I didn't try that one but my friend said it was good too

    Lauren Y.

We got the grape Jasmine bingsu, it was very delicious and refreshing. The lemon sorbet is very sour and the grape flavor is quite strong. The Jasmine jelly was soooo good and tied it all together. Personally, I don't always love grape flavored desserts but I wanted to try something new and it was pretty good! I think I prefer their matcha bingsu though. Good amount of seating and it was relatively quiet. Some people were doing work. Service was fast and helpful.

Still ventured to try it Two guys working, one said he was new, and didn't know where all the flavors were / allowed us to try some b4 we ordered but was a pain bc the flavors were spread between two freezers in front of store and whatever was in the back. Placed an order for 3 double scoop cups (all they had) and took a really long time to make them having to figure out where the flavors were between the front and back of store. Then. They didn't have lids to cover them or a bag to put them in - so we literally covered each cup with another cup and put in a box I had from Costco in my trunk to get them home without dripping everywhere in my car. And I say dripping everywhere bc by the time he finished the last cup/. The others were melted from taking so long. They should probably just stick to donuts if they can't fully support the ice cream products. If I knew now/ I wouldn't have chosen to try there for ice cream. Very unfortunate, bc we probably would have loved the ice cream - but the experience clearly trumped the product.

My favorites were definitely the lavender, pistachio, and the Italian chocolate. The lavender was the most unique and would absolutely be the one I bring to wow new people. The pistachio was rich, creamy, and really well balanced. The Italian chocolate was deeply chocolatey, exactly how I like it, and I finished the whole thing in one sitting. The rose flavor is definitely for people who truly enjoy rose desserts. The strawberry was the only one that did not fully match my expectations from a high end bakery. The tiramisu was decent, more cream-forward and lighter on the coffee flavor than I expected. Overall, these pastries are definitely on the sweeter, cream-based side, and honestly, that is exactly what made them so good to me. I do not want desserts to be less sweet, I want them to feel indulgent and perfect, and these did. I will absolutely keep going back, especially for the lavender, chocolate, and pistachio pastries.

They also have whole cakes available without having to preorder but the flavors depends on days so it's worth to get a birthday cake here. Their slices are about $14 each but we typically don't finish one per person and always get multiples to try so don't let the price tags scare you. Instead, he recommended the *Creamtella* and their matcha beverages. I was absolutely blown away; who would have thought that *Cheesetella's matcha drinks would be this delicious?! There is a wide selection of matcha drinks available in-store. The owner mentioned that they use high-quality matcha (I'm guessing he meant ceremonial grade?), and he even showed me their preparation process--specifically how they whisk it to achieve that smooth, "mirror-like" finish! Matcha Einspanner Personally, I prefer this kind of simple flavor profile: matcha blended with a rich, thick cream topping. It offers a satisfyingly subtle tea aroma with every sip--a true delight for any matcha enthusiast! Strawberry Matcha w/ Pistachio Cream If you love strawberries and enjoy sweet flavors, you'll likely enjoy this one. However, since I'm not personally a huge fan of the combination of strawberry jam and matcha, I felt just "okay" about it--though it is a tasty drink! The pistachio cream topping definitely earns some extra points here! Creamtella The combination of cream and cake gave me a whole new appreciation for their pastries. The cream perfectly counteracts the cake's tendency to be a bit dry; together, they make for a truly perfect pairing! You absolutely *must* give this a try!! It gets a huge thumbs-up from me! Chocotella This one is fairly standard and straightforward. The small chocolate pieces add a nice textural element, and the flavor is a definite plus--especially if you're a chocolate lover! However, the cake itself leans a bit toward the drier side--much like their original plain flavor (which is why I still highly recommend going for the versions with added cream!) To be honest, the first time I tried their cakes, I wasn't particularly impressed. Later, I saw posts suggesting that heating them up before eating makes them taste much better. But this time, the *Creamtella* truly blew me away, completely changing my opinion of the brand. And the matcha drinks are just the icing on the cake! The owner is genuinely a wonderful person--so friendly and enthusiastic! Since it's just him and one other employee working in the shop, making the drinks takes a little time, so please be patient! ^_^

I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.
