There was a huge line when I visited. Their inflatable mascot walking around the plaza was excellent marketing and worked on us, having us check the spot out. Also when you buy a drink, you get a free ice cream. The ice cream was rich, creamy, and milky, reminding me of the flavor of White Rabbit candy!

The prices are unbeatable and the ice cream cone is a must order. Not the best dessert I've had, but the simplicity makes sense for the price point. I also got the black tea with boba, which was light and a perfect drink. The mascot is so cute and is even on the cone. If I was in the area again, I'd definitely stop by.

For the price, I think everything is okay. The drinks are like 50% cheaper than other boba store in Irvine, the soft serve is $1.19 which is really cheap. However, it's the their system that's the problem, it's very chaotic inside, you have to stand in line and order and then if you ordered a soft serve you have to stand in line again to get it which is very unorganized, since people are standing there as well to wait for their drinks. The place is too small as well the staffs are working in a small area, that's what they have to improve. Would I come back? Yes, only if I am in the area but I wouldn't drive just for the soft serve and boba. Sometimes, quality comes with the price.

With all the hype and lines, I had expected something HeyTea level in flavor but was a bit disappointed. I got the pearl milk tea and a cone to try but ended up tossing the cone after a few bites. I did like the price of the cone but it tasted a little powdery (?) to me and I couldn't get over that as I was eating. The boba is pretty standard but definitely love that it's half the price of most other places in Irvine. I don't know if I'd ever seek this out with all the other boba choices but maybe if I'm the plaza and I want a cheap treat.

This chain is finally here in Irvine! I knew that they opened one a few months ago in LA, but I'm happy to have one much closer to mẹ. I'm pretty familiar with Mixue since there were so many in Vietnam and Mixue was also my go to there. I have to say the quality is the same across! I dare to say the soft serve here is a little better, as it tasted creamier. I got 3 drinks for a total of $11, which is crazy in this economy! I tried their grape drink with taro ball, the lemonade, and their signature milk tea (not on the picture). The lemonade was SOOOOO refreshing!! Love the taro balls from the grape drink. The milk tea was good, but nothing too crazy. It was so crowded, so I forgot to adjust the sweetness. Recommend getting your drinks 50% sweet because my drinks were so sweet for my taste. I have to highlight the soft serve ice cream because this literally is the best soft serve I have had in a while! It was light yet super creamy and not too sweet. The best part is that they were FREE with my drinks order!!! The hype is peaked right now since they are so new. Expect a big line when you go, but the wait wasn't too bad. You can either order with the cashier in front or use the machine. The store itself is pretty small, so most people wait outside. Located in a pretty nice plaza for you to walk your steps while waiting for your drinks.

So happy to see this chain in Irvine now! The line on a Saturday afternoon was not too bad - moved really quickly as they had a couple self ordering kiosks which really sped up the process and they passed out fans in line as well. The wait for drinks however did take a while (36 mins) but they blocked off a section in the parking lot in front of the store as a waiting area. The store itself is clean and there are a couple of seats but pretty small overall. We got the lemon ice tea as well as the peach mango tea both with regular sweetness and ice. The drinks were really refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness although I would get less ice next time since the ice filled up almost half the cup. The peach mango tea came with some jelly inside too which was nice. I do wish they offered this drink in a large size though. Overall for the price and quality of drinks it's definitely worth it and I would definitely recommend it!

I was so excited to hear that this popular ice cream chain from China has made its way to Irvine! The vanilla soft serve was good and affordable, it had a distinct flavor that reminded me of white rabbit candies. The drinks were ok, especially for the cheaper price, but I preferred the ice cream. The orange punch was very tea forward, but I wish it had more orange flavor. I also thought that the sweetness levels were a little different than I'm used to. I got 75% sugar and I feel like it was not sweet at all, more comparable to a 25% sugar drink at typical boba shop here. The taro ball milk tea was better, and I liked the chewy texture of the taro balls! I came for the soft opening to avoid the crowds, and when I showed up at opening, there was a line of around 5 people. The staff has an organized pick up process, and my ice cream and drinks came out pretty quickly. The interior is cute and I love the snowman mascot, and there are limited inside seats.

This famous Chinese boba chain is finally arrived in Irvine. They offer super cheap soft served ice cream at only $1.99. All their drinks are under $5 for a large size which is perfect to come every day!

$1.19 soft serve and drinks for under $5? Mixue just soft opened in the Quail Hill center and the prices are unbelievable! They even have sundaes for $3.49! Even though I was about to eat dinner, I couldn't pass up a $1.69 matcha soft serve. It definitely had that matcha flavor and came in a nice crisp cone. Also got a $1.99 lemonade, less ice and 30% less sugar. It looked clear but tasted just like lemonade. Can't wait to come back and try their fruit teas and milk teas! Lots of parking in the lot.

This place has the best pricing for soft serve and boba drinks. Where else can you find soft serve for $1 and drinks under $5? I went here on a Sat afternoon and got lucky there was no line. Order was easy. Just order at the kiosk and show them your receipt to get the soft serve. For other items, the wait was about 10 minutes. I got the passion blast at 30 percent sugar. It came with boba and coconut jelly. I thought the boba was good, sweet, and chewy. I also got the Mixue soft serve and it was so good but melted really fast so you need to eat it fast. Very good location with plenty of parking. I would come back when I'm hiking in the area. Love the soft serve! Was hoping to try the matcha soft serve but they were out.

My boyfriend and I went to check out Mixue since they have cheap ice cream. The line was long but it moved pretty fast, despite the small team they had working behind the counter. Besides the soft serve, we also got the spring oolong milk tea, which had a strong tea taste. It was pretty bland; tasted just like tea with milk. The soft serve was very good though! It tasted like what others were saying: like white rabbit candy ice cream. We'll definitely be back again for their soft serve!

I was really excited to try Mixue because I know how popular it is, but unfortunately, my experience has left me feeling disappointed and overstimulated. My friend and I came after having dinner around 8:50pm and there was a line out the door. Fortunately though, the line did go by quite quickly. However, it was kind of chaotic because you can either order on the kiosk or order with the staff, so people behind you can order first if they wanted to use the kiosk and there was just so many people going in and out. Usually, I would have ordered on the kiosk, but because they were doing a promotion where you buy 2 drinks and get either a fan or a mystery toy, I decided it was best to order with the staff just in case. This is when it kind of where things went downhill. Service was not that great; from when we were ordering, our cashier kind of just seemed like she didn't like her job and was simply trying to get the line going and taking orders. That's fine, but then she "forgot" our receipt with our order number. We didn't realize we needed to know our number that was on our receipt (thought we could just check through a text message but it was just my rewards account details). Everyone else behind us got their receipt, but somehow, ours was just left in the receipt machine (because I guess she forgot when we were asking her about the promotion toy.) As the other staff were calling out the orders, we realized we didn't know our number and we didn't have a name because we ordered through the staff. We saw drinks that looked like ours and heard the number called multiple times but we weren't sure, so we ultimately asked the staff who were handing out the drinks about our situation with not having the number. The staff initially seemed to not want to give us the drinks (which I understand since we didn't want to also accidentally take the wrong drinks), but anyway, after awhile of figuring out what to do and explaining to them I ordered through the staff and didn't get the number, the cashier girl finally realized she forgot to give the receipt to us and that the drinks were confirmed to be for us. Now, onto the drinks. Thought the drinks could redeem this experience, but I was wrong. I got the matcha latte and my friend got the spring oolong milk tea (both at 30% sweet and less ice) since we saw these were some of their top drinks. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed by these drinks because they were really watery and diluted. The matcha latte had no matcha flavor whatsoever (as I can also see by the faint green color) and didn't taste like milk either. Honestly just tasted like sugar and water, and I'm usually not picky with matcha either (I rather drink Starbucks' at that point), so that's how bad it was. As for my friend's drink, we could taste the oolong flavor, but it was also very diluted and not creamy at all. Overall, it's sad to say that I didn't have a good experience. As much as I would have wanted to write a good review, unfortunately, it just didn't meet my expectations. I would not recommend getting any of their milk teas unless you like it watered down, and maybe their fruit teas might be a better option. Although their price is such a steal considering how it's rare to find drinks that are less than $5, I would much rather go to a drink place that is more expensive and is of better quality. I will say that maybe their soft serve looks more promising, but I'm not sure if I'll ever come back considering how there's a lot of other drink places I would rather go to.

Very exciting that this chain from Asian opened in Irvine. The menu is so cheap and affordable, our total for 3 items was less than $7. The vanilla soft serve reminds me of the milk candy, Milkita. You can beat that price and it was bigger than I thought it was going to be. We wanted to try the Mango Coconut drink, but they were out of coconut milk. Instead, we tried the Peach Mango Jasmine. There was not even a slight flavor tea. It tasted like watered down Mango Nectar juice. The wait was about 10-15 mins on a Monday afternoon. You can order with the cashier or through the two kiosks.

I was slightly surprised that the price is close to $7 for a single scoop of ice cream on a cone, I guess I'm used to those days when ice cream used to be a dollar, but what I did appreciate was that they offered to put it in a cup for us because the portion they give is so generous that it doesn't fit on a cone. I actually wanted something a little healthier when I went so I chose the no sugar added pistachio, which was so good so creamy so delicious and full of pistachio nuts. I'm aware that there are other options nearby such as Dairy Queen at less than half the price of this, but if I had to choose again, I might still come back to Handel's because the single scoop could almost be enough for two people. We went with a few other families and none of the kids could actually finish their ice cream cone, which is actually good because that means you can share. I got the s'mores one and it was super delicious, with a graham cracker base, chocolate chips and gooey marshmallows. It was also super creamy and flavorful! We walked into a small but welcoming space with a clean interior and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to stop by for a quick dessert. The setup is straightforward, with a display case full of colors and textures that immediately signal this is not your average scoop shop. The ice cream flavors are where Wanderlust really shines. Many of the options are inspired by Asian and global desserts, bringing in ingredients and combinations that are not commonly found at traditional ice cream shops. The ube flavors are a highlight, with the ube malted crunch balancing sweetness and texture in a way that keeps each bite interesting. Other standout flavors include mango sticky rice and pandan tres leches, both of which capture the original dessert inspirations while still working well as ice cream. The mango sticky rice version has a subtle coconut note and actual sticky rice pieces, giving it a chewy contrast that feels true to the dish it is based on. The pandan tres leches is creamy and fragrant without being overly sweet, and the pandan flavor comes through clearly. One of the best parts of visiting is being able to sample different flavors before deciding. Since the menu changes and rotates with new creations, there is always something new to try. We found that getting multiple smaller scoops was a good way to experience more of the menu without committing to just one flavor, especially when the options are this unique. The staff were friendly and helpful when explaining flavors, which made trying the more unusual combinations less intimidating. They knew the ingredients and inspirations behind each flavor and were happy to walk us through the lineup. The shop is smaller, so seating can be limited during busy times, but it works well as a dessert stop rather than a place to spend a long afternoon. The focus stays on the ice cream itself, and the quick turnover keeps the experience moving. The quality of the ingredients is noticeable across the board, with each flavor having a clean, distinct taste that does not rely on excessive sweetness to carry it. Wanderlust Creamery is a great choice if you want ice cream that feels creative and different from the standard options. The unique flavors, quality ingredients, and rotating menu make it the kind of place that rewards repeat visits, especially if you enjoy desserts inspired by different cultures. It delivers on the promise of a thoughtful, well executed scoop that feels both familiar and adventurous at the same time.
