First of all, love that there's a parking lot which makes things so much easier. My esthetician Brittany was very sweet, skilled, and knowledgeable. Sheexplained everything in detail so I knew what to expect, what was being done when and why, and was educated about my skin and what services and products I would benefit from. The actual facial was very good and the massage that I received as part of the it was excellent. Even though the space I was getting the facial was only semi-private and I could hear others' conversations, it was still a very relaxing experience. I LOVE Heyday! I have been getting facials for over 20 years, and I have never had the progress and outcome that I have gotten at Heyday. My facialist, Roya, has saved my skin! I am three facials I,n and my skin has taken a total turn for the better. She knows exactly what she is doing and the best treatment for my skin. They don't try to push products you don't need on you and only recommend the ones that will benefit your skin. The staff there is so knowledgeable and for sure cares about their clients. The membership is incredibly hard to cancel in a way that I feel is intentionally difficult at every step. My facial was just okay. The aesthetician I saw performed the service requested but didn't pay attention to the problem I told her I was experiencing. I *wanted* to buy an additional product, and I had to remind her at the end, and then it wasn't clear how the product she recommended related to my concern. It felt like she didn't listen at all. But this is all secondary. I would have given this three stars and another try if it weren't for the membership. I could never log into my account to actually use the membership. Their site's integration with ShopPay is broken. But worse; the cancellation process is really difficult in a way that feels scammy and deceptive. 1. You have to give 30 days' notice. This almost guarantees that you will pay at least one more month after when you decide to cancel. 2. You have to go to the location in person to cancel. 3. When you tell them you'd like to cancel, instead of cancelling on the spot, they will text you a link to a form you have to fill out. 4. When you go to fill out the form, it's a chatbot that asks what you want to do, and you can't even select "cancel membership" right away. You have to select "other" and wait for more options. This just drills home to me that they are making this difficult in every small petty way possible. 5. Once you submit the form they tell you that you'll get a follow up in 1-2 business days. I've yet to see if this counts against your 30 days' notice, but it's also bogus as their location is open 7 days a week. Why do the hours of the team who will cancel my membership not match the hours of the team who will start my membership? This genuinely seems questionably legal to me. As vibey as the spa is, I will not go back and I will tell any friend who mentions this spa that I think they use questionable business tactics. read more

I had a really fun experience at Heyday yesterday. I can see why this place has received a lot of hype! It was bright and fun! All of the staff were extremely friendly, willing to answer questions and offer their recommendations. I loved the products offered in store (and during the facial) - brands like Tata Harper, Osea, Naturopathica, Josh Rosebrook, and Pai to name a few. Stephanie was my facial expert. She took the time to listen to my current skincare routine and concerns. I did the gua sha add on and it was so relaxing, relieving lots of facial and neck tension. I left Heyday glowing! The place is brand new and when you enter it's very bright and clean with its white walls and a section with all their skincare products. There's also FREE PARKING bc it's in a plaza so there are good amount of parking spots. If it's your first time, they have you fill out a questionnaire after you check in. I had Rebecca as my esthetician and she was super nice. She did a great job explaining what she was doing step by step and I felt very comfortable and relaxed. She also answered all my questions and provided recommendations on how to improve my skincare routine. Their membership pricing is a good deal when it comes to their discounts with their additional services along with their products. My skin felt and looked amazing! I tried Heyday out after hearing about it from a friend! There was an event for Yelp Elites that I missed the chance to go to but I went separately on my own during a particularly stressful week. My esthetician was Amaris (spelling? This was back in Jan and I can't remember, might not be her exact name, I'm doing my best to shout her out though because she was a tiny jewel!). She was really lovely, asked thorough and really good questions, gave smart suggestions based off my answers, and her techniques were great. She was lovely and we had a fun chat as well. The service overall was good. I don't think I would pick Heyday for a full price facial though. I had a coupon this time but I am not sure the experience is worth it to me for the full price. This is because it just wasn't as intensely relaxing as many facial settings are (it's an open space with loft like separators). For a quick fun chill setting this is great, but most of the time I want to be completely out of it during spa experiences. The front desk staff were also lovely and very fun. Overall a great team, beautiful space, and probably the perfect fit for people looking for less immersive facials that are nice n quick. For me, it's not going to be my long term go to but I might be back occasionally for a quick break. My skin did feel very rejuvenated and healthy, and I was pleased with the herbal, aromatic products that were gentle enough for my sensitive skin. read more

Amazing facial - I had Madeleine, she helped me through my skin issues and suggested different custom treatments and what we could do First walked into a beautiful appt (parking available outside) in Lincoln park. Greeted by the front desk to fill out an ipad questionnaire and ensure I don't have any allergies, rx exfoliants, pregnancies , or health issues they should know about Then walked into a 8 rooms (separated by large heavy curtains & walls) and sat in an electronic comfy chair that Madeleine was able to move backwards. She walked through any issues I may have and then proceeded to go through a : Oil  Cleanse with manuka honey Skin examination Gel cleanse with olive leaf  Microdermabrasions with a diamond tip Toner Extractions Hydro wand infusion with serum Red light therapy Hydraulic acid  Face cream with peptides Cooling stones Such a wonderful and educational experience. Lincoln Park recently welcomed the opening of Heyday- a not so typical spa that focuses on facials. Vibe: If you think muted colors, dim lighting, quiet space when you "spa" - that's not at all what Heyday is like. Heyday is bright colors, pop music playing over speakers, and bright lights. It works here but an important call out so you know what you're getting. Services: Heyday is a facial spa. They create a personalized facial for each customer. This is not a massage and mani/pedi place. I enjoyed my treatment. My esthetician was knowledgeable and professional. She assessed my skin and gave recommendations on what she'd like to do. A couple of the items would be considered add ins and I declined those. My skin felt refreshed and rehydrated when I left. Price: At the time this review is written, Heyday is running a special to get your first facial with them for $70. The standard price at time of review is $135. There is an option to become member. And then you'd pay less per each facial. And get discounted add-ons. In my opinion, they're standard price (even as a member), is on the higher side. I still enjoyed my facial. I had a wonderful experience here. I used the heyday introductory offer of a $70 facial - normally they are $130 I think. First off you should know that this is not really a "relaxing" facial. The rooms are broken up by dividers and you can hear what's going on next to you, and there's upbeat music playing. The facial was unlike any that I've had because it focused heavily on education and my esthetician getting to know my skin/skincare routine. She asked me a LOT of questions. This may be intimidating for someone who doesn't have a ton of skincare knowledge or use a ton of products so just FYI. My esthetician walked through each step, explained what she was about to do, and called out the exact product she was using (the facials are also very customized to your skincare needs). For a skincare geek I enjoyed this, but I could see some people not liking it. My only disappointment is that I was told I'd be emailed a list of all the products that were used on me (I totally would have bought a few) and I wasn't. So, sad about that. Would have given this 4 stars but to be honest my skin is absolutely GLOWING after this facial, more so than a lot of other facials I've gotten. So worth it for that. I'd have to consider whether the $130 full price tag is worth it, that seems a little steep to me, but I'll likely be back. read more

I just called today to verify that I had a voucher on my account -- I had called about a week or a week-and-a-half ago to inquire about their policies around pausing since I'll be traveling. The representative then had said that I could pause my membership for 6 months (turns out, it's really only 3 months), and I would still be billed on Oct 2 since I gave notice less than 30 days. I said great! I wanted my last facial to be on Oct 5th. Everything was good. So I called tonight to verify that I had a voucher on my account for my last facial, and the representative had THE NASTIEST attitude -- which was shocking to me since all the people who work there tend to be so nice -- and she said that I understood incorrectly and that I wasn't billed. And that I would need to pay the non-member price. She then said, with a condescending tone and the biggest sigh, that she could offer me a discount. As if she was doing me a favor... I tried to explain that I called previously to avoid any hiccups, and she mockingly said, "I'm not saying you can't pay the full price." I was confused on why she would even say that. It's giving elitist. She also mispronounced my name, and omg -- this entire interaction was so belittling. I canceled my appt and won't be back. I can get my facials elsewhere without their attitude, and nasty vibes. read more

It was untrue, and despite me cancelling before the second charge, they charged me another month, as you have to cancel thirty days prior. They make cancelling online extremely difficult. The spa is dirty, and the service is poor. I paid for a 50 minute facial that lasted 35 minutes, and the entire experience was a sales pitch to buy unnecessary products. When you try to get in touch with corporate, you'll wait for days on end for an email answer. I would never send someone to this spa, both because the quality of the facial is poor, but also due to the bad business practices. read more

I got a facial with HeyDay the day before going on vacation! I was feeling low energy before entering HeyDay but was greeted with very kind staff and a bright, clean lobby space. The check in process was seamless and I was greeted by my esthetician within a minute. The rooms are divided with curtains so it is more of a vibrant space (you can hear the music overhead and other clients talking), rather than a typical quiet facial experience. I read about this before so I was prepared for this (if I didn't read about it, I think I would've felt thrown off by this). I loved the items they put onto my skin- felt so soothing. And, I told my esthetician I was going on vacation so she recommended focusing on getting a glowy look and doing a guasha to get rid of puffiness in my face. The only thing is that I felt like with both the gua sha and the products she put on, I didn't really see much of a difference compared to other facials I've gotten. I also think this spot is a bit more pricey- my total was $128 for a 50 minute facial, so this is steep. Definitely a more trendy spot. At least there was free parking! read more

Loved this place. I got a special opening deal for a facial here. It was my second facial ever. First in over 3 years! So I walked in not knowing what to expect from Heyday. First of all, it's so cute inside. You see all the products they recommend, lots that I've never seen before as a Sephora addict. I got myself some water #hydration and was quickly called back for my facial. She was so friendly which made it really easy to talk to her about any of my skin concerns. The music was lovely and calming. She even offered me a blanket which I was very excited to accept. I could have gone to sleep right there. The facial was great. She said I really need to focus on sunscreen and hydration which in a Chicago winter, I'm not surprised by. I went in with a couple of pimples and scars. A problem I'd been dealing with all winter. But since this facial- no joke- I haven't had a single pimple. I'm in love. I can't wait for my next one in a few weeks! read more

Great experience across the board. The facial I received noticeably improved my skin, my esthetician (Naja) was patient and thorough and left me with a lot of recommendations. As others have said, this is not a typical spa-like experience, the rooms are less secluded than you may be used to. Nonetheless, I liked the atmosphere and I appreciated how much this facial actually helped my skin as opposed to facials I have gotten at typical spas that seemed to just provide a relaxing but ultimately useless experience.
