Upon my cousin's recommendation, I grabbed the coconut mango boom. The drink had some coconut chunks and sago at the bottom and wasn't too sweet! It did feel like a nice mix of coconut and fresh fruit. The drink definitely feels on the supposed "healthy" side, so proceed with caution. Would I come back? I tried to resist the hype of Heytea's grand opening, but the allure of BOGO 50% was too strong and I made my way over. Timeline: Arrived at 10:55a on Tuesday Dec 31, the 5th day of opening, with the number 103. The line was wrapped around to the dentist's office and at 11:45a (+50 minutes) we had our order written on the menu by a friendly worker while still in line. He was very helpful and patient in explaining the menu options, as well as the social-media-post-for-magnet promotion (see photo). At 12:03p we made it through the doors (+18 minutes), and at 12:15p (+12 minutes), we had our drinks in hand (total time 80 minutes). I was super impressed with how quickly the drinks were prepared! The Crisp Grape Boom (75% sweet) and Coconut Mango Boom were refreshing and the right amount of sweet. The Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea was decadent, and the flavor was great, but regular sweetness was definitely still too sweet for me. I appreciate the orderliness, friendliness of the workers, and their efforts to streamline the process. The shop is minimal and clean, and you can tell everyone is working very hard to keep everything flowing and folks happy. I spotted one person working from their laptop but I would not recommend, as seating is very limited and the shop's music (even if it's lovely instrumental music) is quite loud. Parking in this plaza is expectedly unpleasant due to 1) the sheer number of people/cars and 2) some less than friendly drivers. The only consolation is that turnover is relatively high. Consistently good tea. It's REAL tea so if you just want load of sugar with weak tea.. this is not the place for you! No powders, tea brewed strong to perfection! I have learned I cannot drink this tea past 3pm or it will keep me up all night! It's strong, floral, fragrant, doesn't even need milk but I do get the cloud foam. Always busy so I suggest ordering ahead or going to Kura for sushi. Price is good. Only deducting a star because for some reason this tea makes my teeth feel fuzzy afterwards. Came here on a sunday night with friends around 7pm. We waited in line for a little bit, until we saw that we could order line. I really love their aesthetics for their menu. It's definitely feels very luxury vibe and the user interface is very spot on. We didn't get our drinks for about 15 mins which is pretty fast considering the long line and the amount of orders they had on the screen. My friends ordered Passion Fruit Blast and Mango Grapefruit boom. I ordered Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk tea with less sugar. Even with less sugar, it was still about 80% sweet for me. I ordered the Passion Fruit Blast. I got it with Brown Sugar Boba. It tastes great and tastes like passionfruit. I recommend to get it at the lowest sugar level because it's very sweet. My drink came out within 15 minutes but that's because it was a busy day. The one part I didn't like was that when you get less ice, it's like 20% of the drink. This is definitely a togo place. It's well lit and a great place to go to after grabbing a bite in the plaza. The plaza is always full though so try not to come during peak times. The only concern I have is that they don't really have any fruit teas. It's more smoothies than tea so if you want fruit teas, you should go elsewhere for more variety or a place that specializes in fruit tea. read more

Mango Grapefruit Boom ($8.98) - The first thing I noticed was MY GOSH was the brown sugar boba amazing. Extremely fresh mochi like, soft, chewy, lasted in your mouth for a good second. Perfectly coated. The drink also nailed the silky texture of fresh mango complimented with a clever texture of also silky but a different type of slippery silk coconut jelly as opposed to a silky matte, fresh mango consistency. The grapefruit was a light, subtle citrus note with a fresh fruit popping consistency. The grapefruit could have been a bit stronger, but it was nice that it was a subtle light citrus note so that it didn't take away from the main mango punch. The sol balls were a nice ad, but not necessarily necessary and if I'm being reflective the soccer balls kind of distracted from the feeling of drinking a smooth tea drink because every mouthful was filled with toppings, as opposed to a majority of my mouth, all being filled with the tea. Although this drink was really good to try and was delicious. Next time I would get a tea-based drink with one topping so that I can enjoy and slowly sip my tea as opposed to eating wet toppings and having the drink disappear so quickly. SIZE: if you get the large size it's +$1 extra and they HAVE to make it a smoothie version instead of liquid version. The server told me the reason why is because for the large, they actually include the same amount ingredients but add ice to fluff it up to a large and then they add extra sweetness to balance out the added ice. VARIETY: Was just ok. Although they advertise a TEA forward shop with the tea smell bar & shop's smell it's really just a fruit smoothie slushie shop with excellent quality toppings. A majority of their drinks were slushies. Flavors to choose from were mainly jasmine green tea, mango, grapefruit, grape or yumberries (bayberries aka Chinese bayberry or Yangmei, which has a sweet and tart flavor profile, often described as a combination of strawberry, raspberry, and pomegranate, plum). They had one passion fruit tea option, one milk tea & one kale. PARKING - ample parking in the lot. WAIT TIME - fast, 5 min tops. The tea here is really good quality. When you walk into the store, you can smell the tea leaves already. Every time I've gone here, it's pretty packed I would order on the app to avoid the line. You can also earn points through the app. My favorite drinks are the supreme brown sugar and the coconut mango. My partner also really like the coconut cloud matcha (the blue drink). Loved this boba place! Stopped by after visiting the nearby barbeque place and was craving some boba. First time trying this new place and I feel neutral about it. Since this place is pretty new it was really crowded on a weekend night. I got the cloud matcha latte 75% sweet and it was good. I enjoy strawberry drinks and it was very fresh and tasty. The "boom" was good and I liked the texture. My drink wasn't too sweet and I would get it again. My friend's mango drink was good, but I thought the coconut was overpowering. When I drank it, the drink was on the creamier side, and didn't feel refreshing. It's a heavier dessert drink. If they have a lot of orders they turn off their mobile ordering. On a Saturday evening around 6:00 pm there was a line to order (but it was not too long. We probably waited 5-10 minutes to order). The wait time for drinks to be made had a range from 35-50 minutes. We ordered, went to dinner, and then came back to pick up! The supreme brown sugar boba milk tea (less sweet) was still on the sweeter side for me (I usually like my drinks at 30% sweetness). It's very creamy and despite being a milk tea, the tea flavor is not strong. The brown sugar flavor definitely overpowers any tea. The brown sugar boba was inconsistent. Our first sip was overly soft boba and later sips had slightly chewier pearls. The mango grapefruit bloom (non slushy, less sweet) was more my level of sweetness and tasted very fresh. It's not the best mango pomelo sago drink I've had, but it's pretty good still and I can taste that they use fresh ingredients. Drinks range from $6-8 which put the total for us to $17. The staff are very friendly here and the establishment clean! Overall, I'm curious about their matcha drinks and their grape drinks so I'll return to try that! read more

Walking in, the store layout reminds me a lot of XFT (the loc in Fremont/Milpitas), with a bunch of employees behind a counter. I wish the ordering system tracked phone numbers so that I could be notified when my drink is ready -- I personally hate just standing around inside a store waiting on an order lolol I ordered their standard brown sugar milk tea. The boba is really soft. I couldn't really taste the flavor even at the suggested 100% sugar. Plus the milk tasted off and I could spot the separation/bits on the top of the drink. We've been to this Heytea store twice despite it only opened last week lol. They had buy 1 get 1 free for the first 3 days and buy 1 get half off for day 4-7. We tried four drinks: matcha gen latte, coconut mango boom, coco water matcha, and supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea. My personal preference is matcha gen latte - coconut mango boom - supreme brown sugar bobo - coco water matcha. The matcha gen latte was topped with a thick layer of matcha cheese foam. The matcha latte itself was thick too, and you can tell that they used good quality milk (they claimed it to be organic). The coconut mango boom had a lot of toppings including mango chunks, coconut pudding, and little pearls. The mango tasted fresh and sweet. The boba in the supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea was chewy and fresh. The coco water matcha was my least favorite because coconut water did not come very well with matcha in my opinion. The store had long lines during their first week of opening and waiting time could take around 45 min to an hour. Once ordered, waiting for the drink only took about 5 min because there were many staffs in the store working on the drinks (the most number of staffs I've ever seen in a boba shop!) It was my first time coming to this spot. They were having a buy one and get a second drink for 50% off. There was a long line, but not too bad since I don't have to wait in line that long. I got the supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea, less sugar. I was about to get 100% but don't want it to be too sweet. The flavor of the milk tea mixed with the brown sugar syrup was so yummy, I like how it doesn't taste too syrupy like some other places. I don't get that much brown sugar milk tea cuz of that, but this spot makes it perfectly!! I enjoyed it. The other one is called cloud matcha latte, the matcha taste authentic and has a perfect amount of sweetness, love the cream on top. Newly grand opened with long lines of people for the past few days. It was New Year's day and they were opened. The line was less than the night before so I decided to line up after picking up dim sum from Ranch 99 supermarket. Heytea is located in the same plaza as the supermarket. A man passes out a menu with a # on it. They are running a deal where you buy one drink and the second drink is 50% plus you get a magnet when posting a picture of the drink with the Heytea logo on Instagram and Google Maps. Their Instagram is closed for uploading the photos. I mentioned I will provide a review and she accepted that in lieu of posting on Instagram. They have a simple menu where the match drinks are listed at the top and the fruity drinks in the middle. The bottom is the milk tea. I decided to try their fruity drinks. I chose the Crisp grape. The color is purplish and the drink tasted more like a slurpee but not super sweet. By the time I drank it all, there was only ice left. The second drink is Crisp Mango which I reserved for mom. I'll update the review after I get her feedback of it. The place is newly opened and has a nice modern look to it. There were plenty of people taking care of the long lines. It took me 30 minutes to wait, order and pick up my order. There is a tv monitor where you can see the status of your order by the # on your menu. It didn't take long for the drink to finish. I'd say under 10 minutes. There is a lady who passes out the magnet once she verifies you have posted on Instagram or Google Maps.
