I have had 5 drinks from here and am comfortable going back to order anything from the menu, knowing it'll be good. They also have oat milk options or alternatives, which I really appreciate. Service is pretty fast paced, they generally don't interact unless someone goes wrong or there's a drink update. Inside is nice. There a little bit of seating. Heytea's finally in the Bay Area! The first time I had their drinks was in Singapore, and I couldn't stop thinking about it since that first experience. Seeing them open up in SJ was a pleasant surprise :) I ordered the Coconut Mango Boom. A little sad bc they didn't have boba at the time, but apart from that the drink was still great. As always, Heytea has been super packed every time I've went, but I would say that the lines and the drinks come out pretty quickly and consistently; so while you'll likely have to wait outside everything keeps on moving. Do note that this location in particular is one of the bigger locations I've been to, with mild inside seating, though there's a lot of space in the plaza to mingle and wait. If you are ordering at a generally busy time, I would HIGHLY recommend ordering online beforehand if available (At high volumes they close the online ordering) I've ordered plenty of drinks from Heytea, and my personal recommendations would be the bobo shake (classic milk tea but slushie) or any of their other fruit drinks. In particular, the mango coconut or the grape bloom from this location has always been super consistent and are never too sweet. Super cute asthetic ! Not a studying place, but definitely a nice vibe to chill with friends. The drinks themselves are a bit heavier/creamier than most milk tea places. But that's my preference. The coconut in it however is coconut jelly and I thought it was also going to be chunks of real coconut. Holy smokes, this might be my favorite place to get a fun drink now! I have only ever gotten the cloud mango and/or the cloud green grape and it's going to stay that way. The cloud is salty and creamy and blends perfectly with the sweet slushiness of the mango and green grape. I've been to the one in SF, Milpitas, and SJ and it's always packed. There's usually a line but the most I've ever had to wait was around 20 minutes. It's absolutely worth it though! Since there's so many people who go, the inside isn't really for sitting as it can get very busy and loud. They also have an app to order ahead of time and helpful screens to know when your drink is being prepared or ready to go. I hope they open more locations soon in the east or north bay! read more

What the heck After asking so many times she finally tried to look for my drink , the cashier helped her to locate my order and she had put away my drink in the box ( what surprise ) They need a microphone or some machine to say out the numbers out loud , or something. Accidentally stumbled upon this grand opening when I went to grab dinner in the same plaza. I was very curious about this spot since there was a very long line. Apparently this is a well known boba spot from Asia. The store had a grand opening special menu featuring their top drinks. We decided to get the Matcha Cloud Shake and the Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea. Matcha Cloud Shake was 7.5/10. I wish it had more of a richer matcha taste. It's still a really good drink, but I've had better. Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk was 10/10! Probably the best brown sugar milk tea I've ever had! Highly recommend! I would consider the fruit booms (which we ordered) more of a refreshing dessert than a tea and the cost would be justified in that way kind of like hui lâu shan or similar. The cream grape boom kind of blew my mind? Haven't had a unique tea experience in a looong time and the peeled grapes, crushed grape and tea with salted foam was such a delicious combo. The grapes were very similar in texture to agar pearls but more delicious and natural, possibly marinated in some light lemon or sugar of some kind. Did not taste syrupy at all even at standard sweetness. I am not even a slush fan. The mango boom had some coconut cream, excellent fresh mango flavor and not over the top sweet. True story of when I first heard about Heytea. Friend: There's this new boba shop opening soon! Heytea Me: A boba shop from Haiti? Back in the day, Quickly's and TapEx were such a treat. Bright orange and blue branding, retro plastic chairs, huge menus with small text to accommodate the listing of 50 drinks, perfect artificial flavoring, $3 drinks, and paper stamp cards. Fast forward to 2025, and we got artisan tea places like Heytea with all real fruit and organic milk, your drink order packaged in a little paper gift bag, individual menu pamphlets, such extensive branding and marketing that you feel like you're inside an Apple store. Hey, they even re-branded boba as bobo to set themselves apart from other boba shops... is that even allowed?! I found out about Heytea from IG reels by influencers (marketing these days!) and stopped by for their grand opening promo. The lines were insane, even on a weekday, but they staffed up and the operations looked quite efficient. The menu features a variety of drinks, but some of the differences seemed a little abstract (like matcha zen vs matcha cloud vs matcha jasmine vs matcha cloud green tea). Most drinks are $6.49 to $7.99... up to $9.99 ... o.o Is it worth? Quality was surprisingly good. (++) Bobo milk tea (PSA: it's boba): The black tea flavor was good. Blended with milk and combined with the light sweetness and warm, soft chewy pearls came out just perfect. It contained less boba than most other places, but I thought the ratio was just right. I ordered this warm and 0% sugar, and it was one of the best classic milk teas I've had in awhile. (+) Coconut mango boom: It was delicious at first, with the fresh mango and creamy coconut milk blend, along with tapioca for good measure. But halfway through, it got really icy and the bottom was just frozen mango. (++) Cloud matcha latte: I was impressed by the matcha; it didn't taste watered down like at most places, and gave me a pleasant jolt. It came with a delicious, lightly salted cheesy cream top layer. It was a nice little indulgent addition but not too heavy. I've been hearing a lot about this new boba shop that opened up recently so of course I had to try it! I will say that I was surprised by the abundant options for matcha drinks because most boba shops focus on either milk tea or fruit tea and only have maybe one or two matcha drinks. I tried the supreme matcha latte with less sugar and an extra shot of matcha and omg it delivered!!! I love that you can taste the matcha and the drink is creamy and sweet but not too sweet. If you like matcha, then you definitely have to try this drink! My friend got the cloud matcha latte which was also good but I prefer the supreme matcha latte more. I also tried their mango boom which was very refreshing. If you're looking for a milk tea though, they don't have too many options. I tried the bobo milk tea which was pretty good but I'd probably recommend other places for more variety when it comes to milk tea.
