Worst experience ever trying to purchase a car from HGreg Doral Florida. The day before I found a vehicle on HGreg website in Doral Florida, which is approximately 3 1/2 hours from my home. We call the location and ask if the vehicle is still available. They tell us the vehicle is available and we explain the distance from the dealership to our home and the sales rep says the manager will contact us and will probably hold the car for us until we could arrive the next day. We never got a call back from the manager. The next morning prior to taking a 3 1/2 hour ride we called the dealership again. We asked once again if the car is still available and they tell us, yes the vehicle is available and we explain the distance from our home to the dealership and tell them we are on our way. The rep says they will hold the car for us until we arrive. Once we arrive at our appointment time the sales person goes to retrieve the keys for a us to do a test drive, this is when we are informed the vehicle has already been sold. We asked them how is the car sold when we made sure earlier that morning prior to taking a 3 1/2 hour drive that the vehicle is still available and that it would be held for us. We spoke to the manager who told us they do not "HOLD cars" for anyone. He apologized for the mistake and tried to sell us a different car. So the Manager show us another car and tells us this car is here and definitely available. We tell him that we like it and tell them we want to purchase it. The manager tells us he will get the keys so we can test drive it. He walks away and returns explaining the car is being cleaned and detailed to wait about 30 to 40 minutes. Approximately an hour and a half later the manger tells us that he is sorry again but now "THAT" vehicle has also been sold. He explained the second vehicle we chose was held for a customer who was coming to this location from another to purchase it. "REMEMBER HE SAID THEY DON'T HOLD CARS!!!?? Needless to say after driving 3 1/2 hrs there and being told two separate times, that a vehicle was available and having me sit there for several hours, we left with no car. In my 52 years of life, attempting to buy a car from HGreg has been the most miserable and worse experience I ever had in attempting to purchase a car. When I went to look at a car, the salesperson who was meant to assist me was impolite. They had to give me another guy, and that other guy was kind. I was told that I had been approved online, but after four hours of waiting, I was told that I would hear from them the following day because it was getting late. They never did, though. I had to give them a call to find out why I hadn't received a response. To be told that I am not allowed to own a car. I ended up finding out from searching up the vin number that there was already 2 complaints about this car on the same issue, one in 2019 and another in 2020. Overall experience was a bad one. From sales to maintenance the customer experience at Hhgreg Doral leaves a lot to be desired. The sales process wasn't that bad, I knew what I could afford and what I wanted, so I dug in my heels. The financing was a nightmare, after spending hours going over numbers, they couldn't meet my numbers with their financing. I decided to go my own way through my bank, thats when their customer service started to deteriorate. After buying one of their used vehicles, I then had to deal with their service department. If I thought their financing dept was a nightmare, I was in for a rude awakening with their service department. There is no way to get in touch with them, they never call you back. i had to wait for an entire week for them to service my vehicle (yes, I had to leave the newly bought vehicle with them for a whole week) and if it wasn't for me having to call repeatedly, I would have gotten my vehicle in double the time. The parts they were servicing were all standard stock and not Fiat specific parts, which is what I would expect. They also lost one of the panels on the driver side of the vehicle after they had serviced the steering shaft. After 2 weeks of calling and leaving messages to see if I can get my panel back, I had to drive to their Medley location to see if I could speak with someone. The service rep just said they would cal me back to make an appointment to put back the panel, but they never called. I had to call the main center (Doral) for them to investigate, they told me a sales manager would be calling me about the missing panel, but no one from Hhgreg has called me. We did buy the car, however, they also don't tell you about the "Pre-delivery fee and required protection package" fees that you cannot decline - added about another $2000 to price, then there is a minimum amount required to finance and that has a required "protection plan" No haggle price is a good thing, but all the surprise add ons get you. By far, the worst overall customer support experience I've had. Typically people are used to car salesman following up too much, oversharing and over communicating to sell you a car... HGreg did the exact opposite! On numerous occasions throughout the purchasing process I was told I'd receive a call back in a few mins as they completed [insert any task here], not once did I receive a call back. There were multiple days where I'd call and my response was "we'll get to it tomorrow when [insert any name here] is back in office. About a week and a half into the purchasing process, I gave an ultimatum to the team that if I didn't hear back by 9am PST (3 hours ahead of Florida time), I would withdraw my application and would like a refund processed. The next morning I woke up... nothing. I called and asked the team to process my refund. Magically, the team that NEVER returned a call, was able to call, email and text to try and talk me out of cancelling my purchase. Fast forward another week and a half... Went last week to purchase a vehicle and the first thing they did was charge us $2500 for a down payment without showing us any paperwork or anything. After seeing the final price (with dealer fees, tag fees, etc) we decided it wasn't the right choice for us. We left and cancelled the next day. Roberto, the manager, tried to tell us that we had to drive all the way back to Doral to get a refund. Truly horrid time with this place. As others have mentioned above, that $3500 worth of fees is 100% true. I saw all the bad reviews and still went to Hgreg to checkout a car for my business to be used for deliveries.. was looking for anything less than $12k, low miles, high mpg...plenty of options. I wasnt picky, my needs were very simply. Its not a vehicle I am even going to use much. The experience is akin to going to walmart. Service is slightly better. Our sales guy took us to a warehouse not too far away to look and test drive cars. Service wasnt great but not bad either... Looked ok, you feel uneasy about the experience. We picked a car, price was fair, what I would expect to pay. Then I went to the finance department... $899 dealer fee, $400 license fee + the regular tag and tax. Price non- negoatiable. On top of that finance guy had an attitude when you asked questions. Stoop up shaked hands and walked out. The $899 and $400 fees were predatory... they offer you slightly "lower" prices with their no-hassle price and then make up the difference with fees. I guess if you are buying a $40k+ car it doesnt matter that much.. but when you are buying a $10-$15k car the fees become over 10-15% of the price. 5 hours later I walked out of another dealer with a car. If you've ever listened to 97.3, then you've heard DJ Laz and Kimmy B going on about HGreg. In the past month or so, I finally decided to go to HGreg as I was in need of a car after my car got totaled in an accident. First and foremost, apparently there are two HGreg locations, but only one of the two is currently open to the public to view cars and this one is the one you can view. I believe the other location is in North Miami or somewhere along those lines. Anyway, if you look at the website, their stuff is clearly organized. Going into their store though, it's an entirely different story. Quite a few of their cars aren't even there despite being listed on their website as being there. They clearly need to get with the times and update things appropriately. Not to mention that they are really determined to make you get a car. Dare I say it? They're downright pushy! I only went in to see if I could get a good deal on a used car, and well, the only good thing I can say about their cars is that they're not retitled. In fact, they don't accept retitled cars at all! Keeping this in mind, however, they don't seem to have many restrictions otherwise. They tell you they sell cars as is, which honestly is normal given that these cars are used but still. One of the salesmen refused to admit a defect with a car. I must have checked out three or four cars and signed to actually be able to drive them. Not one of these cars met my expectations. I honestly found the place to have a lack of options. The few other cars I wanted to check out were in their other lot. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. To add insult to injury, these cars offer little to no warranty and the salesmen here are relentless. They're only in it to strike a deal! Yes, yes, I'm aware that's typical of going to buy a car, but I've bought cars before and I've never seen this blatant disregard to please a customer. It's all about the sale! I had a really great experience here. I called ahead of time to make sure the car I wanted was still available and to schedule a test drive. They welcomed me and explained how everything works and didn't try to sell it to me before the test drive like other dealerships. I wasn't able to purchase the vehicle that night but they held the vehicle for me until the next day which I so appreciate. They then worked around my difficult schedule, found a better interest rate on financing than the rate I had secured earlier. They helped me price out my insurance and I was in and out in under an hour. It was incredibly straight forward and they were just nice and personable. Not your typical complaint: I have purchased two Maserati Ghiblis from HGreg(Orlando). With that being said I made an ernest attempt to inquire about a Alpha Romeo 4C that was available in Doral. 1st red flag: Salesman Mickey said it was owned by a close personal friend and a one owner car(Carfax showed multiple owners). 2nd flag: I asked for a clean photo of the front fascia and each wheel and was informed that the vehicle was in show room condition(rims have very visible curb damage and paint chips in fascia). 3rd red flag: The sales agent was agressive and arrogant. I am no stranger to mechanical marvels at any level and have had multiple bike builds featured in magazines around the world(Treated like an idiot and could not get a word in or obtain any details I asked for). 4th red flag: Everyone deserves the benifit of a doubt so I informed the agent that if he would inquire into the status of my trade in(2020 Toyota GR Supra) then perhaps I might consider a trip down to see the car but was instead advised that all contact had to go through him and I had to give him the personal details I already submitted on-line to him personally). Conclusion: HGreg from my experience has been an amazing bargain and wonderful folks to deal with in Orlando. Doral?....Not so much. If you can't make them take your money because egos get in the way then perhaps another venue is in order. They lied about the car they sold me never being in an accident. they advertised the car with a CarFax report which indicated no accidents as well as the salesperson saying the same. I began hearing a knocking noise 18 days after my purchase so I brought the car to my mechanic. He put it in the lift and shared the bad news my car had been in a serious accident with extensive damage! When I confronted the manager & his Boss i was told they buy lots of damaged cars & do very little to repair them before selling them. They also indicated that CarFax is not very accurate? They finally said out of the hundreds of papers I signed, I had sign a paper stating I received another report which showed the accident which was not true & this report was not a part of the advertisement.
