The prices and drinks here are really good, I've only been here about twice and got a different drink each time but I've enjoyed every experience. The first time I believe I got the chrysanthemum and the second time I got the Atiso iced tea and they were both unique flavors that I have never heard of but wanted to give a try. There is also the Hi milk tea which allows you to put 3 toppings in which my friend got and really enjoyed. I definitely want to try more drinks here and will definitely come back. I've been here enough times to redeem a couple of their stamp cards for a free drink, so I'm overdue for a review! If you haven't figured it out already, I'm a huge fan of Hi Bubble Tea and it's my favorite tea spot in Tacoma. I've tried so many of their drinks including but not limited to: chrysanthemum, dark roast oolong, genmaicha, ceylon, atiso, and one of their latest additions - durian milk tea. All of their fresh teas are so delicious. I've gotten the chrysanthemum more times than I can count, and I love that they offer a jumbo size because I can't get enough. My bf enjoys their Vietnamese coffee, as it's a nice balance of sweet and bitter, and it's nice that they offer larger sizes than what you can normally get. The only drink I didn't like and wouldn't get again is the durian milk tea. It had an artificial durian flavor, like the durian extract that you can buy at the grocery store. The boba is okay, slightly softer on the outside and not as chewy as I would like, but still good enough that I will still order it from time to time when I am craving boba. First off, let's say I'm a boba tea connoisseur. I LOVE BUBBLE TEA and want it all the time. I'm so happy this place opened! Their bubble tea is great! Also, I love that this place is viet owned. They have stamp cards, which mine gets filled ALL THE TIME. They have a HUGE menu selection as well. My favorites are the rose black (milk) tea with herbal jelly, the chrysanthemum with Crystal boba, and the artiso with herbal jelly. I absolutely love this place. not only do they have a huge selection but they also have a lot of sides(ex.boba, lychee, coconut jelly, etc.) to choose from. I came in because I heard good things about this place. I was willing to try it. I went in, the girl asked me what I would like, I asked for her suggestions and she just gave me a list and when I asked it this product is sweet, she said yes. I picked the one she suggested. I paid six dollars for the drink. When the order came out and It was not sweet, rather it was bitter. The drink was artificial and poor. I asked her if I could try something else or asked for an exchange. She refused even with just one sip of the drink and said I could not get another one without ordering it and paying for it. She refused a refund. I left the drink there. This is poor customer service. Working in customer service a person should try to make it right especially when they say it should be sweet, but this was bitter. The person was very rude about it. I left the drink at the place and they didn't try to make it better. Would not recommend them due to poor customer service and not willing to make things right. Please avoid. read more

Decided to try this place out since there's not too many good boba spots around Tacoma and I was really impressed! The nice girl working recommended the brown sugar w/ fresh milk so I got it with tapioca. I got my drink pretty fast since I was the only one there, but I can see how it might take a while with a crowd since they just opened. I've tried a lot of brown sugar drinks in the past, even the super popular Tiger Sugar one, but this one tasted the best!! The tapioca is really soft too. I ordered a normal tara smoothy and it was disgusting! I went back to ask if they could remake it and the girl at the counter refused. The girls that were working there are pretty young, not sure that customers service is their first priority. They were not rude, but definitely not friendly either. I ordered a "fresh" taro smoothie w/ tapioca boba. It was ok. The flavor of the taro was rather bland, even at "100%" sugar level (you specify how sweet you want it by percentage; 100% is "regular"). There was an up-charge for the "fresh" part, but I couldn't notice any discernible difference from normal taro. All in, it was just shy of $7 for one drink. A bit steep for my tastes. I was pretty excited to try this place out since it has really good reviews. I got a mango milk tea with tapioca and my sister got a watermelon green tea with tapioca and mango jellies. The mango milk tea had a strong tea flavor that made it bitter and you can barely taste the mango. It also had small bits of jellies in it that I really disliked. I could not drink it so I asked if I could change it. When they asked what was wrong with it I told them and they said they cannot offer me a different drink but they could fix my current one. So they removed the jelly bits (mango jam) and added more milk. The milk helped some but it was still bitter. I have tried milk teas from different places and this is the first time I get one that was this bad. My sister's watermelon green tea was ok. It tasted very artificial but it wasn't terrible. Finally!!! A bubble tea that sells legit milk tea. I know there's a Sharetea and Bobalust in Tacoma now, but they're closer to downtown and usually are 20+ minutes away from my home. To have a good bubble tea place on S.Tacoma Way- what an answered prayer! No powder based smoothies with half cooked tapioca balls or too small teas that taste like milk (sorry for throwing shade at other businesses on S.Tacoma Way), but this place's boba tastes fresh, chewy, and it's fast. It's their specialty whereas other shops on this street try to do a variety of things- this shop was designed with one thing in mind: good bubble tea. I've only gone twice to get their brown sugar milk tea (30%) sweetness, and I've been satisfied both times. They never really adjust the ice level for me though I asked for less ice both times. My friends have tried their mango milk tea and their passion fruit tea, and they liked their drinks a lot too! For the price, size, and speed, I'm sold and support. I was in Lakewood and was craving boba. Found this gem as I was driving down South Tacoma Way. I had fruit tea since I can't drink milk. The menu is very comprehensive and a bit overwhelming at first glance. I liked that I was able to substitute the green tea for black tea. My mango fruit tea was delicious and I loved the little bits of mango at the bottom. The boba was the perfect consistency, not too firm but also not too soft. They tasted fresh too. I do have to say that their fruit teas are extremely sweet, and I have a sweet tooth. I would next time decrease the sweetness to 75 percent or even 50 percent. I live in Auburn and decided to stop by to pick up a bubba. When i go the owner is always there and takes care of my order but today was his son who was so unpleasant! The workers were more friendly then him. We got there and he didn't even bother to ask " how can we help you" he was just with his resting face he had no manners and was super rude!!
