Pursue Coffee is a family run neighborhood coffee shop. They have so much heart and soul. You can feel it in every sip and each delicious bite. The house espresso is roasted by Four Barrel out of San Francisco. The espresso blend rotates seasonally, along with a featured single origin. The baked goods are homemade with gluten-free options. The Basque cheesecake is one of the BEST in the US. (They just added chocolate and macha flavors!) Avocado Toast and Egg salad toast are staples. Each visit brings me joy. There is a loyal following of regulars. Note: The parking lot can be a challenge. There is plenty of street parking on side streets.

Pursue is one of my favorite coffee shops in Los Angeles. I am a total coffee snob and the vanilla lattes here knock my socks off. Both the iced and the hot just taste so good because the espresso is so creamy and flavorful. Also love love love their egg salad toast. To die for.

Latte with an extra shot - made with love! #redondobeach #makesmewander

Whenever I'm on this side of town, I make an effort to go to Pursue Coffee. On this day, I wanted to have coffee and a treat, and get some work done. There were a few spots available when I went in. I love their huge wooden table that looks like it was sliced from a log. As usual, I asked the server what their favorite thing to eat is and they recommended the blueberry scone so I went for it - it did not disappoint. I am always a little bit nervous with scones because sometimes they can feel super heavy. This one has a great proportion of berries to scone and was delicious. The flat white was beautiful, and I made it to my table without spilling it. Their drinks are served perfectly temperature and perfect flavor! The drink is smooth which I like compared to some coffee shops where the bitter coffee bites. I can't wait till my next visit and to try something new!

This place is a cup of love(coffee) I wont forget

I stopped by one Tuesday morning after hearing so many good things about this place! It's a small, cozy and inviting Korean-owned cafe. I got their hot vanilla latte with oat milk. They use real vanilla beans in their vanilla latte and you can taste the difference! I normally don't love lattes but this one was amazing! I loved how light and perfectly balanced it was--not too sweet and not too milky with beautiful latte art on top. This is my new favorite vanilla latte in the South Bay! They also had some fresh pastries in their display that I didn't get but would love to try next time. Service was awesome too. The owner was super friendly and warm! I will definitely be back! Parking: free in small lot in front.

This is the best coffee shop in Redondo Beach and one of the best coffee shops I have ever been to. I love to see friendly familiar faces each time I visit. The drinks are specially handcrafted when you order. They have the best chai tea lattes ever! I also love that they make fresh baked goods every morning, the blueberry muffins and the scones are my favorite. I am a regular here.

It's an adorable small coffee shop. I loved the touch of fresh flowers.

So happy I got to try this coffee shop! It's adorable!!! It has inside seating where you can enjoy your coffee or use your laptop. David was very sweet and helpful while ordering. His suggestions were helpful. It was a much-needed impromptu coffee stop after the gym. Ordered vanilla latte with the almond butter banana toast. Everything was excellent! Can't wait to come back! Thanks, David!

Everything I've gotten at Pursue has exceeded my expectations. I especially love their pour overs, but have tried their lattes, matcha, and various foods. The service is also great. Everything's consistent, no complaints!! If I could rate higher than 5* I would.

Cozy coffee cafe with artisan beans and housemade pastries. Many spaces to work or share conversations over coffee. My iced dirty matcha latte that was recommended by the smiley employee was rich and flavorful!

Honestly, I think Blue Bottle Coffee should come study TOT's NOLA because its better than theirs. The Chai Latte is another favorite of mine. Everywhere else, chai usually disappoints me with that artificial taste and overpowering sweetness, but here you can actually taste every single spice. Perfectly balanced and never overly sweet. And then there are the seasonal drinks... always delicious, but this round was next level. Who would've thought pineapple and coconut could work so well in an espresso latte? I seriously cannot stop thinking about it. The Pineapple Match Lemonade was incredibly refreshing too. Honestly, I'm just happy I live nearby and can grab TOT whenever the craving hits.

The line can be a little long since there is only one person taking orders. They've been there for one year and they are getting to the point of putting decor up and really creating a space for themselves. I love the poster about the name "tot" coffee. To summarize, they talked about how "tot" is to refer to the "little kid" or "tot" sense of curiosity and wonder. The whole place gives the vibe of a former diner, so it's an interesting contrast to have more elevated drinks. I'll be open to trying it out once again, but wasn't totally impressed.

This review is regarding a visit on June 1 between approximately 12:10 PM and 12:30 PM…read more I am leaving this feedback as a regular customer who has purchased different matcha drinks from this business on multiple occasions. I have consistently enjoyed visiting this location, which is why I am sharing this experience in detail rather than simply not returning. On this visit, I ordered the House Matcha with almond milk and paid $7.75. The drink was significantly underfilled, which resulted from my request for no ice. While I understand that removing ice can affect volume, the amount of empty space at the top of the cup made it feel like I received less than a full drink despite paying the full price. In addition, I was charged for an almond milk substitution, which further contributed to the expectation of a properly filled drink. The cup size also raised concerns. I recently ordered a Banana Cream Matcha at the same price point and received a noticeably larger cup. On this visit, the House Matcha was served in a smaller cup, and even the sleeve did not fit correctly. The combination of a smaller cup and reduced fill level created an inconsistency in value that was immediately noticeable. The most significant issue was that the drink contained no sweetness at all. The House Matcha is described as "perfectly sweet matcha" and includes agave syrup, so it is reasonable to expect sweetness as part of the standard preparation. Instead, the drink was completely unsweetened. There was no communication during ordering that sweetness needed to be selected separately, and in prior visits I have never been asked about sweetness level. This is also not the first time I have received a matcha drink without sweetness despite it being described otherwise. By the time I realized, I had already left the store and was unable to return due to time commitments, and it does not feel reasonable that multiple preparation issues should require a return visit. It is also concerning that there is no clear pricing listed next to the different matcha options in the matcha section of the menu. The lack of visible prices makes it difficult to understand the cost of each drink at the point of ordering and reduces transparency for customers. From a broader perspective, consistency issues across cup size, fill level, and recipe execution affect the overall experience. I regularly purchase specialty drinks and would be comfortable paying $7.75 if the product consistently matched the menu description, portioning was accurate, and expectations were clearly communicated at the point of sale. As someone who visits this plaza several times per month, I would genuinely like to continue supporting this business and have consistently positive experiences. That depends on clearer communication, more consistent preparation standards, and attention to detail during both ordering and fulfillment. At home, I am able to prepare matcha easily using a variety of milks, including almond, oat, coconut, cashew, pistachio, banana, and pea protein, along with simple sweeteners such as agave, maple syrup, honey, and organic brown sugar. I also keep ingredients such as whipped cream, sea salt, strawberries on hand, blueberries, and mango, allowing me to make specialty drinks like strawberry matcha, blended matcha with frozen strawberries, or other customized variations. Because of that, the value of a café drink comes down to consistency, accuracy, and convenience rather than ingredients alone. If issues such as inconsistent cup sizes, underfilling, missing ingredients, or unclear customization options are occurring across orders, it may point to a need for improved staff training and clearer standardization. Addressing these areas would likely improve the experience for both regular and first-time customers. I hope this feedback is received as constructive input from a returning customer meant to improve overall customer satisfaction and repeat business.

The space is one of the highlights. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a great place to hang out, work, or catch up with friends. The Wi-Fi was solid, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and lively. The staff were also incredibly friendly throughout our visit. Mai specializes in Vietnamese coffee and matcha drinks, along with a selection of baked goods. My recommendation is to stick with what they do best: coffee and matcha. If you're a fan of dark roast coffee with a strong, bold flavor, you'll probably love their drinks. I tried the Banana Coffee, which was excellent and easily my favorite item of the visit. I also ordered the Mochi Mango drink, which unfortunately wasn't for me. I'd give it about a 2.5/5. The mochi texture felt off, and the mango flavor tasted more like syrup than real mango. That said, I'm comparing it to a version I've had at another boba shop that I personally enjoyed more. Overall, Mai Coffee is a great local hangout with plenty of space, reliable internet, friendly service, and strong Vietnamese coffee. I'd definitely come back for the coffee and to spend some time working or relaxing.

The drinks are delicious! Classic foam top heavy drinks that perfectly complement the coffee underneath that they roast themselves on-site. I got their Tiramisu cream latte and Banana kick matcha latte. Both were delicious. If you like tiramisu then you'll like this. The banana matcha latte is perfect for those who like bananas and/or matcha. They're creamy and not too sweet. They also have an entire brunch menu as well. So this place is more than just a spot for studying and socializing. We got their Dutch baby pancake which was very filling on it's own. But the highlight of our meal was their Tortilla Pizza Truffle mushroom. We had never heard of a tortilla pizza before but it was surprisingly delicious. The tortilla allows you to focus on everything above it which is exactly what I wanted! Highly recommended!
