OMG. you GUYS. THIS is the place to be. Street parking, cute seating inside and outside, perfect for people watching and catching up with friends. Melanie (I hope thats how you spell it) was SO kind to us. She was incredible. Brought us waters with our coffee and brought our drinks out to us. Absolutely blown away by the service. The drinks and food were incredible. Everything was so perfect. I had to get a shirt to support even more. Do yourselves a favor and come here ASAP.

Was in the area for fiesta Hermosa and decided to visit café Minerva because I had seen on Instagram that they were open. The mural outside is so welcoming, we felt the positive vibes before we even entered. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the barista. We had some questions about the menu and she was so lovely answering all of our questions. I ended up having the Minerva iced. They also have the option of getting it hot. I loved the mixture of the café de Olla with espresso. It hit the spot. The place is a little small, but they have a really nice area out front. It lets you enjoy your coffee with some friends while enjoying the fresh ocean air.

So happy to have this place in Hermosa Beach. We stopped in on the Fourth of July. It was busy, but the line moved quickly and everyone was genuinely friendly. You can tell it's a family-owned business, and that comes through in the way they treat their customers. I had the Iced La Minerva, and it was outstanding. The spices really make it - smooth, unique, and delicious. We also picked up a few conchas to take home, and they were excellent. A great addition to Hermosa Beach. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars

It was my first time coming to Cafe Minerva and I loved it! I asked the cashier what she recommended and she asked me what I liked more between chocolate/vanilla/cinnamon I told her I liked vanilla/cinnamon flavors more and she suggested La Minerva Latte with Cajeta Cold Foam and it was sooo good! Her name was Araceli and she was great, and provided amazing customer service! The space is so cute, it's small and very cozy. They have a few seats inside and outside. There's plenty of street parking. Also, their branding is so nice, I love how it all comes together. I'm looking forward to going back soon to try their other drinks & pastries.

Excellent coffee shop with the best staff. I stopped here early Sunday morning and there was already a nice stream of people. The coffee was delicious. Can't wait to try the entire menu!

Incredibly warm and kind customer service, delicious chorizo breakfast burrito, the Minerva Lattes were delicious and smooth (my husband had it hot, I had it iced). Conchas were fresh and not dry and crumbly. Really cute place, cool mural with Mexican talavera styling outside and cute merch and stickers, too! Will come back again.

I stopped by this café on a weekday to meet a friend for coffee, and it was such a lovely experience. There isn't a parking lot, but we were able to find street parking nearby. Just be careful not to block any driveways in the neighborhood. The café itself is cute, cozy, colorful, and welcoming. It's a small neighborhood spot with a few tables outside, along with table and bar seating inside. It's the perfect place for a quick caffeine boost or to catch up with a friend. They offer a variety of drinks, pastries, pan dulce, and croissants. I ordered the iced matcha latte with strawberry foam and a brioche croissant, while my friend got the iced Sacred Vanilla Latte. My matcha was delicious--well balanced and not overly sweet, with the strawberry foam complementing it nicely. The brioche croissant was buttery, slightly sweet, and very flavorful. I also loved the pan dulce; it was soft, fluffy, fresh, and tasted amazing. What really stood out was the kindness of the staff. We were there close to closing time, and they generously gave us extra pastries to take home. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the experience even more memorable. I would definitely recommend this café and look forward to coming back to try more of their drinks and pastries!

Service was amazing! The sweet lady at the register was incredibly kind and took the time to walk me through the menu. I never felt rushed instead, she was patient while I decided what to order, which made the experience even better. coffee? Absolutely delicious. There was something about the cold foam that made it stand out, it was so creamy and flavorful. If you're in the area, don't skip this place. You have to try it!

Cafe Minerva is a small cafe nestled on the familiar street of Aviation, and I think it's my new favorite in HB! I tried their La Minerva iced latte which is sooo yummy, it has a cinnamon aftertaste which blends in really nicely with the coffee. Additionally, the employees are very kind! Show them some love and go give them a try

I am thrilled this establishment opened! I am a fan of they have incorporated the culture with the Hermosa Beach vibe and aesthetic. The colors and ambience are inviting. The owner Herman has created a welcoming environment but his baristas and staff are all just as welcoming - that makes a huge difference. It is what sets a commercial coffee shop apart from a neighborhood coffee shop. They have Mexican sweet bread and breakfast burritos too. I ordered the cold brew black (cafe Minerva) and truly enjoyed every sip. It's so earthy and easy on the palate, balanced, smooth. The prices are so reasonable as well. I enjoyed the burrito and look forward to them expanding their menu and hours (I hope a salsa comes with the burrito soon, like a creamy chipotle or something, yum!) If you're in the mood for a cozy, neighborhood coffee shop with chill Hermosa Beach vibes, this is your spot. Come check them out! I definitely will be back.

Amazing addition to the neighborhood. Their doors are finally open and we couldn't be more excited. We are obsessed with our go-to order (cafe de olla) and conchas. We look forward to picking up burritos with our coffee on the weekends. Today I tried their warrior cold brew with cold foam and it may be my new favorite! I can't wait to try their matcha too. My wife and I have already put ourselves on a budget, otherwise we would be here once or twice a day. And to top it all off, the couple who owns it could not be more welcoming and friendly towards everyone who walks through the door, excited to share their coffee and food and culture. You can feel the love when you walk in. Hermosa is so lucky to have this gem in our neighborhood.

I would see this place pop up on my social media quite a bit especially since they plan on…read moreexpanding and adding a new location..... sooooo I decided if I'm in Hermosa, let's go ahead and finally give it a go. I had a pretty solid positive outlook on them. I ordered the "French Toast Latte". I feel like it should have been called the Burnt toast latte. I genuinely took 3 sips and tossed it away in the trash can on the side walk. I tried to mix it and grabbed a straw to do so and it made it WORSE. I'm extremely disappointed that I wasted $7 on a latte. I've had bad coffees before, but this one took the cake. It tasted like milk, and the espresso tasted acidic, burnt have you. At least with other bad coffees I could stomach at least half of it but this was just really acidic. I noticed other people mentioning the coffee scene in LA isn't the same anymore and this attested to that. They started picking up foot traffic & I wasn't going to wait to ask for a remake or anything, I took the L and life moves on. I wasn't going to play Karen about it. The Lamington pastry somewhat saved the experience. This was an extremely moist, spongy, sweet cake that was delicious with coconut flakes on top. She was AMAZING. I snagged a piece off my friends and it was reeallllly good. I would recommend if you like coconut and a softer spongy cake like pastry! Talk about the underdog in this trip. The aesthetic is cute, it's clean and resembles a house. I like the scheme they have going on. The other half looks like a gift shop that I did not go into. They have a restroom available as well inside. Customer service was just customer service. Nothing amazing or bad about it. Pretty standard. We mentioned it's our first time & the girl didn't really care lol. We had questions and it was very whatever kind of vibe. No enthusiasm. Parking would be on the street so good luck!

I used to really enjoy the atmosphere, but over time things changed. Some employees started…read moretreating me poorly as a customer, and that didn't feel right. I'm an adult woman, almost 48, and I don't appreciate being told how I should behave in a disrespectful way. At one point, an employee even told me not to talk to other customers--even when they were the ones starting conversations with me. That felt like bullying. Thankfully, that employee is no longer there, but the overall attitude still hasn't fully improved. I've been bringing my two dogs with me for a long time without any issues. Recently, I was told I can't use the bathroom anymore--even just to quickly wash my hands before eating. I understand rules about dogs not being allowed in certain areas, and that was explained properly, but the way everything was handled felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Because of this shift in attitude, I've noticed other customers have stopped coming as well, like Alex and Trisha. Some people have even mentioned that the overall environment and customer treatment aren't as good as they used to be. It's disappointing, because this used to be a place I really liked. Now it feels like the attitude has changed, and not in a good way.
