Cute little local coffee shop just south the pier. Lots of options. I opted for the Dirty Cocoa Latte. It's ceremonial grade cocoa with shots of espresso. When cocoa is processed into chocolate it losses a lot of the health benefits. So great way to skip the sweet processed syrups and get something healthy that still tastes great. I opted for pistachio milk which is one of my favorites. No bitterness from the espresso. Definitely will be back to try some of the other coffee and match options. This is a small local shop which feels very welcoming by the staff. It is a cute place. They have your standard $100 clothing for sale in the front. I found the lighting to be too dim on a dreary June Gloom morning. The basket lamps with tiny bulbs in the front do not offer much light. Most customers just ordered coffee to-go, very few people stayed and no one else ordered food that I saw. They were playing some beautiful, relaxing jazz music but the person working there was watching Tiktok/Reels on their phone and listening at a loud volume without headphones. That definitely deteriorated the ambiance. I had planned to stay awhile but listening to an employee/manager listen to videos was not relaxing to me. I ordered the "breakfast burrito" and I would not recommend it. They did not use tortilla, instead it was more of a pastry crust? Also it came out burned? I only ordered it because I was hungry and it was the cheapest food item ($17). I can't say I've ever had a "bad" breakfast burrito but this might have been it. I would have been better off walking to Brothers or a few more blocks to Bolt to get a tastier and cheaper breakfast burrito. However, since I was looking for food, I probably wasn't their target audience read more

this is just based on the taste of the Barbie latte. It was described as a double shot espresso with strawberry milk and vanilla. it honestly tasted just like a regular latte and wasn't very sweet or had a lot of vanilla or strawberry flavor. The shop itself is very cute and small and they sell other little things other than coffee/pastries. the service was great as the cashier/barista was very nice and attentive, I just wish I asked for more sweetener or something for the latte. read more

Cute little coffee shop that serves breakfast and brunch items near the beach! The interior ambiance is clean and spacious, but intimate in size. There's a few small tables and a larger table with a bench for seating, so definitely come with a small group max. The coffee is a bit watered down, perhaps because about half the cup is filled with ice. The flavor is strong and a little bitter; definitely a good wake up call! The crossaint sandwich is so delicious! The buttery, flaky crossaint holds the ingredients together so well (but be careful of holding the sandwich too vertically; the avocado may slide all the way to the back!). It's packed to the brim with yummy vegetables and a fluffy folded egg. It's a bit expensive ($14). Overall, I'm glad I found this cute breakfast spot by Hermosa beach! read more

I ordered an iced strawberry matcha latte. I do not recommend mixing it. Just drink it as is and move straw when appropriate. If you mix it the drink will not be pleasant. Had to throw it out after I mixed. Just a warning. read more

Super cute little coffee spot! They have merch for sale which is super cute too. I love that the owner supports other businesses and has tons of different business cards for guests to take. You might just get lucky (no pun intended ) and find what you're looking for! The drinks. Tried their lavender matcha but I wasn't a fan. Their iced coffee was okay. However, I am starting to wonder if the espresso shots were fresh or not, because my drink was rather bitter. And I don't mean, strong, because I ordered 3 shots of espresso. I love espresso. Not the best Turkish coffee I've ever had. It was very grainy, which I understand Turkish coffee may have some grains in it, but in my experience they typically settle down. I felt like each sip had a bit of grains in it from the beginning. It was a very cute shop & the barista was very nice. I went with my sister to grab a drink before shopping around. We wanted to try the Chaga Matcha drink that they just came out with. It was pretty good! I would definitely come back and grab another after blind trying it. I think they should have samples out because I really wasn't sure what the flavor was going to be and there weren't great descriptors. I was truly stuffed after I ate this and probably would have been satisfied with a small but I wanted the three flavors to mix in together. When it's done well, you can taste the attention. When it's done poorly, there's nowhere to hide. This tasted rushed, underworked and overpriced. Service didn't help. The whole experience felt indifferent. There are too many places taking matcha seriously now to settle for a cup that feels like someone bought the right language but skipped the discipline.

At one point, an employee even told me not to talk to other customers--even when they were the ones starting conversations with me. That felt like bullying. Thankfully, that employee is no longer there, but the overall attitude still hasn't fully improved. I've been bringing my two dogs with me for a long time without any issues. Recently, I was told I can't use the bathroom anymore--even just to quickly wash my hands before eating. I understand rules about dogs not being allowed in certain areas, and that was explained properly, but the way everything was handled felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Because of this shift in attitude, I've noticed other customers have stopped coming as well, like Alex and Trisha. Some people have even mentioned that the overall environment and customer treatment aren't as good as they used to be. It's disappointing, because this used to be a place I really liked. Now it feels like the attitude has changed, and not in a good way.

It has a cool vibe, lots of fun things on the menu, healthy smoothies, and baked pastries. Interior design and layout were brilliant with abundant natural light. We came on an early weekend morning to grab breakfast; it was my first time at this cafe. I was warmly greeted by a male staff with a smile. I ordered an iced coffee and avocado toast. Both items were solid. Breakfast AT was delightful and healthy. Services were spot on. Prices were fair for the area. Plenty of street metered parking. Overall, this cafe is a good spot for breakfast. I recommend it.

Staff are very friendly. There was a line but it went by fast. Parking on the weekend is hard to find, at least in my experience. During the week, it's much easier to find parking, especially if you go in the morning.

My favorites are the tarts, with the crust being the standout. The cake was extremely light as if eating a cloud. I will definitely be coming back. There's so much more on the menu to try out, including drinks and breakfast sandwiches, there's no doubt I will be getting another dessert to go along with it.
