    Blue cheese double. Yes!

We come here at least once a year, it would be more if we lived closer. Not that they need a good review, because if you've had their burgers you know they're phenomenal. We came after a long hike, place was packed, staff is exceptional and so nice. The place is a dive, but you can look past that when your food arrives. We all got burgers, fries, onion rings, scones, and shakes. I'm telling you, you can't go wrong, but the fluffernutter shake is out of this world, with peanut butter, marshmallow creme and nilla wafers. So good!! My double Philly cheesesteak burger with cheddar cheese was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time!!!

Every time we go to the Uintas we stop at Hi-Mountain drugstore. It has been a long time tradition to get a milkshake. It has been such a fun, memorable experience. Unfortunately over the last few years the quality and size have gone downhill. The last time we went the restaurant was filled with smoke from the grill which made the place very unpleasant.

This place is soooo good. We always stop here after being up at mirror lake hiking or camping and it's such a welcome treat. It's always delicious and you can't go wrong with anything you order. My go to order is the philly burger, fries and a chicken and waffle shake. Yes, it sounds weird but you won't regret ordering it!

A burger joint in an old dated pharmacy. My table sat right next to a display of yarns and crafts. There were worn, dogeared books on the table to read while you waited for your food. They serve Kool-Aid. The menu said it was an "award winning" burger. I chuckled to myself. This could have been utter fodder for my review, but I knew I wouldn't do that no matter what the food tasted like. This is small town Americana. -You don't walk into someone's house and spit on it. But having no faith that their burger would actually be good, I ordered one. I was starving. Honestly, it was pretty near perfect. Juicy but not greasy. Lettuce crisp. Tomato ripe. Down to the lightly toasted bun. A generous size too. And only $5. The young waitress was charming. Cute and friendly. Maybe even chipper. Fitting

Local favorite and traditional stop for families that camp in the Uintas. Known for their burgers, but also their ice cream counter. Something everybody should try at least once in their lives is a frosted glass mug of Ironport soda, which is an Intermountain region drink that tastes sort of like root beer but with other mysterious spices. It goes great with the burgers. After COVID they've made some improvements. You now order on the way in, which eliminates any waiting for service when you're seated--a common previous complaint during the busy season. Additionally, you don't have to wait for your check either. Waiting for service before and after the meals has been resolved. Bring some cash so you don't have to tip before receiving service. During the weekends--especially 3-day weekends--in the summer and early fall come prepared to wait for a table. Pro Tip: The gas station next door has phenomenal donuts and giant moose turd-sized fritters, which are usually available in abundance early morning. Grab donuts at the crack o' dawn on your way out, and stop for burgers at Hi-Mountain on the way back! If it's your first time, there is plenty of parking around the back.

    Burgers and fries

Had the Jap popper and cheeseburger w/fries. Burgers were pretty good but nothing unique. Split fries as basket is large. Did not have a shake - may have liked it more if I did but overwhelming number of choices.

Wait staff was friendly but a little hard to hear since it's definitely got a diner vibe and it's pretty noisy. The Spanish omelette was a little smaller than I expected and a little dry. It needed Spanish sauce and cheese on the top, definitely. We got some green salsa to add. The breakfast sandwich was good. I expected the ciabatta roll to be a little more dense, as ciabattas normally are. It was more like a roll, but fresh! I think it comes from the Oakley bakery on the lower level. Definite diner vibe, as I said, but the floor was pretty dirty. Needed to be swept and mopped. When you're waiting for the hostess to check for a clean table, you're standing by the first seated table. A little awkward. All-in-all we'd probably go back. We like the drive up from Layton, and beggars can't be choosers on Sundays!

Service was fast and friendly and they love to answer all your questions and can deal with food allergy requests. I had the patty melt and I have to be honest. They offered a curbside service in 2020 that was very popular but have discontinued that venture but reopened the beautiful upstairs dining room and bar, with a magnificent view of the Kamas Valley. As they start to emerge from the COVID crisis, the menu is still somewhat basic, and they do not appear to have a full-time chef or even much kitchen staff. I've only eaten lunch there, so it may be different in the evening. If you calibrate your expectations towards a beautiful place to sit and talk and eat bar food style fare, then you'll get that for which you went. I'd go more for the atmosphere than the food right now. They seem to be focused on catering events, for which they are wonderfully suited. They also appear to be just nursing the restaurant along, using the super friendly and engaged service staff for the double duty of cooking and serving and playing it safe until the economy supports more investment in their restaurant. We still go there when we're in the mood for what they offer. I hope to upgrade my rating as they restore their business back to its former state, which I fully expect. They seem to be good business people balancing keeping the doors open and not losing money so they have a healthy business to bring the full staff back to once sanity is restored.

We were seated at a table in far end of the room. Once seated it's hard to get in and out from the wall seat because the table are pretty close together. I ordered the Spinach, Mushroom and Swiss 4 Egg Omelet. They asked me if I wanted 2 or 4 eggs and I chose 4. As a substitute for the potatoes, I opted to choose the avocado which came as a slice 1/2 of avocado. For my toast option, I chose the single pancake, but could also have chosen a scone. The scone wasn't on the menu as a option, so I missed this when I ordered. My omelet was very flavorful, although a bit dense. I attributed that to the 4 eggs fitting into a 2 egg form factor, but I really don't know that for sure. The avocado was a good complement to the omelet and worked out very well. The pancake was delicious. There was syrup on the table and butter came on the plate. I gobbled it right down and thought that I maybe should have got another one. I have eaten here before when I was in the area, and will likely return again when up here. The busy nature of the restaurant is offset by the good quality food.

The restaurant is further Park City and Kamas than I expected even having checked on the map before driving, just FYI for those thinking this is near PC. BUT as a local Parkite, I did see people I know also dining there for their Sunday Brunch. We had made a reservation, but I guess if you only do it 1 day in advance it's not on the paper they print out, so they weren't prepared for us. And I don't know if they were shorthanded at 4 staff members on the floor (1 was the owner, 2 were waitresses, 1 was a busser), but we waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Despite this, they were all very kind and had good costumer service, just slow. Woodland Biscuit Company is a very small restaurant. During the good weather months they have outdoor seating too, which helps to accommodate more parties. But this is not the place to bring large groups. Of course you come for the biscuits. They offer "first come, first serve" cinnamon roll biscuits but as we were in the late brunch crowd, they were sold out. So we settled on The Messy to split but my son didn't like the granola on top BUT that also didn't stop him from shoving a 1/4 biscuit in his mouth at a time. The rest was good too - eggs and bacon plate (served with a small biscuit), and croquettes madame (on top of a large, flat biscuit).

Plan on waiting, waiting for them to clean a table, waiting for water (which was Luke warm and disgusting really), waiting for them to take your order, and then waiting for the food. 30 minutes before our order was taken. Once the food came out, two entrees show up, missing two others, then one more came out, still missing mine! I was the last to get my dish. Ugh. We ordered mini biscuits (biscuit cinnamon rolls sold out-bummer), and the beets with yogurt sauce and mini biscuits. The beet dish was not as described on the menu! It was a tostada scrambled egg beet thing, and was just okay. The mini biscuits are delicious, light fluffy, and the jam is divine. The dishes we ordered: Breakfast plate with eggs, bacon and potatoes. They are very skimpy on the potatoes, enough for a toddler, but definitely not an adult. Croque Madam, this was very good. The sauce was excellent, and the biscuit is perfect, but again, very small portion. Biscuit and gravy- amazing sauce, delicious, but any farmer would leave hungry. I got the smoked salmon omelette, small portion, very little salmon, tiny scoop of potatoes. Good flavor, but for the price and the amount of food you get, I'm not sure we will ever come back. I definitely don't recommend going out of your way to come here, because you may be very disappointed like we were. If the wait was quicker, portions were bigger or it was priced better, we would consider coming back. I'm sure they don't need more business so they probably don't mind a less than ideal review.

They were not; they were actually 50% or more higher at the restaurant. The hamburger that was showing on Yelp for $15 was actually $22. The Steak Frites advertised for $22 were $35. I understand inflation, but this was a gross enough difference that it borders on deception, in my opinion. I also had a bad experience with my food: I ordered a cup of their chili (which they claim is made from scratch, on-site) and it was brought to the table cold. Like, "right out of a can" cold. Kelsi, our fantastic server, returned it to the kitchen where (I presume) they nuked it and brought it back. It was heated, but not very tasty. Flat; under-seasoned; mushy textured. Definitely something I'd never order again. Many reviews say the atmosphere is "loud" but what they mean is, it's "LOUD". We were seated inside, and it was nearly impossible for the three of us to converse. The acoustics are not great. Enough cons; how about some pros? My burger was FANTASTIC! piled high with caramelized onions and pastrami, but beef patty tasted like it'd just come off a charcoal grill. Terrific flavor in every bite. (The parmesan fries were tasty, too, but a little on the soggy side.) My dining partners each had a salad (one 'wedge' and one 'beetroot') and both were well-prepared and generously portioned. And, finally, the staff, the location, the vibe: All really first-rate. I'll probably come back, if I ever recover from the bait'n'switch sticker shock. (But I'll steer clear of the chili and opt to dine on the patio, if that's available!)
