I ordered the Hibachi Shrimp and an order of wings. There was an abundance of rice and about 10 very small shrimp in the hibachi. Where there should have been vegetables, there some overcooked vegetables on top and even more rice underneath. When I asked if this was the normal portion of shrimp, I was advised that it normally comes with 8 shrimp but even the picture on the menu had more shrimp than that so I'm not entirely sure that's correct. I got my food delivered and I tried a bunch of different menu items. The Edamame was not the best, the color looked off. It didn't look fresh, but it tasted okay. I thought the Crab Rangoon were a bit small. They were also wrapped in a way I've never seen before, but they were really easy to eat! The Gyoza (pan fried pork dumpling) was really good and the sauce was delicious! The Hibachi Chicken had a great flavor. The Hibachi Steak was good too. Each Hibachi dish came with lots of rice. The veggies may have been a bit over cooked. I would order the Hibachi Chicken and Gyoza again. read more

This place used to be so good we ordered from here almost weekly. It has really gone downhill. The portions are smaller. The quality is not as good. The vegetables are hard and under cooked. The rice is stale. The customer service SUCKS!! We ordered online to pickup and drove thru a bad thunderstorm to get there and back. There was a car wreck in front of our car on the way there. We get home and we are missing the bowl of white sauce we paid extra for. Then realize there isn't even any of the sauce packets in the bag that come with the entree. When I called the woman asked me was I sure twice and insisted they always put things in the bag correctly as if I'm stupid or lying. Then speaks loudly over me and says if you come back we can give you some sauce it's only $3.58. I wasn't going to drive in the storm again with my family so I asked for a refund and was told she would tell the manager who happened to conveniently not be there for me to speak with. Then she hesitated when I asked for her name twice. I asked when can I expect a refund and she said she will tell the manager to call me. They use some type of sauce (taste like teriyaki) on the hibachi and I didn't care for it. The rice and vegetables were good, but the yum yum sauce and ginger sauce were watery and lacked flavor. We got take out habachi tonight and were very impressed with the safety protocols they have in place. All employees are wearing gloves and masks and they have plexiglass barriers set up at the ordering and pick up area. Everything is made fresh and was still piping hot when we arrived home. I got chicken hibachi and my spouse got hers with shrimp. I also got an order of crab ragoon which was so-so. I don't know why we don't come here more often, but each time we do return we say it needs to be on our once a month list. Hopefully it actually will. read more

Service is quick and they were friendly. You can order online which is great. I could definitely use less onions, next time I will probably ask for no onions so I can get more carrots and zucchini. Location is in a very random spot. You will miss it if you are not looking for it in the shopping center. Also tried the chicken wings and gyoza which were tasty. So so good! I was attending a workshop in RTP and decided to grab an early dinner to go from here on my way home in North Raleigh. I called in my order for hibachi chicken and drove about 8-9 minutes away to pick up my order. When I arrived they were bagging up my order! Always a plus after a long day. The portion and prices are great. My meal came up to less than $7 and I was only able to eat half, so I still have half for another meal, which is also another plus. Like to get my money's worth. The food was fresh and cooked perfectly! The restaurant has another location in Raleigh that I've been to as well. I enjoyed the food there too! This location is in a small shopping center that has a grocery store and few other restaurants with a good amount of parking available. There are a few tables inside, but it's small and not necessarily somewhere to have a relaxed meal. It would be fine for a quick bite, but not much more. I went around 4 PM so it was empty but I can imagine how packed it can get during peak times. I suggest just getting it to go! Don't forget extra sauces are 50 cents each! Ordered this food for delivery, so can't speak to the ambiance or atmosphere of the restaurant itself, but the food was very good quality! Not the best hibachi I've ever had, but considering it took ~30mins max for my food to arrive from the time I ordered it, I can't complain! Also reasonably priced, and they sent 'yum yum' sauce in containers which was great. Would definitely be a return takeout/delivery customer in the future. read more

Delicious, fresh, speedy service with a smile. The car lines were definitely an indication this place was worth it. We had hibachi chicken and steak with extra steak on the side.. a nice, generous portion. We also had their soup.. delicious! Chicken fried rice actually had decent flavor. I usually have to drown the chicken in sauce ( brown sauce was perfect!) but I did no need to. Veggies were not drowning in cooking oil, and for the first time my husband ate all them all. I've been trying out all of the local hibachi places in the area recently, and I think I found my new favorite. I didn't have high expectations initially because their prices were lower than some of the other places I've been trying lately (everywhere has been increasing their prices), so I was expecting lower quality. But I was completely blown away. I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp. The to go box was completely full and filled me up. The steak was cooked perfectly (the website even gives you cooking options). The vegetables were delicious. The fried rice was prepared exactly how I like it. They even give you a quick call to let you know your order is ready to be picked up. I normally don't take the time to write reviews, but I was so impressed that I want to see this place be successful and stay open for a long time so I can keep going to my new favorite hibachi spot. read more

On our first ever visit we decided to eat in rather than getting takeout. The food was good, and very inexpensive. The ginger dressing on the salad was tasty. I had hibachi chicken, and it was a nice sized portion, so I had about half for leftovers. The staff seemed nice, you just order at the counter. The only thing I didn't like was everything is served in styrofoam, even if you are dining in. I realize it's more of a takeout spot, but I wish there was a different, less wasteful option at least when dining in. read more

A little disappointing. Truly, I should have known when I walked in and saw the quick Chinese take-out style of a restaurant. The lack of Hibachi tables aren't the deal breaker for me, although I secretly like the show better than the meal generally. However, my husband adores hibachi so here we were. They had a few 4 seater tables, so not a bad lay-out overall. It was interesting to be served miso soup and an entree in the to-go cartons - but you know what? That's actually the pretty awesome part since I love hole-in-the-walls and whatever, I've been in Chinatown. But the shrimp hibachi was really sugary, and after a few bites, I was thinking, why on Earth didn't I just make this myself? Or order fried rice - it isn't that different. Although, if you are really craving the hibachi yum-yum or ginger sauce, I kinda get it - it's really not too bad if you can get over the fact that the refined sugar is rotting your teeth and enhancing your curves. Probably the best thing about this place is your eating healthy here when you do order hibachi. Rice with veggies (zucchini, cabbage, carrots). The shrimp wasn't as bountiful as I would hope, but that is typical when you order this dish. The food was pretty good (shrimp didn't have mush flavor until dipped in sauce). The restaurant is small, and nothing special about the decor. Fine for dining in or take-out. Service was friendly, but being my first time here I didn't see the big posting on the wall to the right when you walk in with a listing and pictures of combination specials. Surprised it wasn't brought to my attention, since it would have been a few dollars more than what I ordered (with a combo meal you get hibachi plus an egg roll or soup and a drink. Anyway, I might go with the combo next time and probably won't get the shrimp again. I noticed that they have chicken wings, so that intrigued me enough to give that a try sometime. read more

Came to this place on 9/10/18 and it didn't live up to my expectations. Yes it was cheap but the chicken, steak and shrimp were bone dry. The rice was mushy and there was hardly any vegetables for example there was only two tiny pieces of broccoli in two separate orders. It's not worth even it's cheap price. My husband and I have been fans of this place since it opened. The prices are cheap and the portions are large (and delicious!). The staff have always been kind and I love the rewards card they have. Recently, we hosted a large get together and needed a nice meal idea that wouldn't be very expensive (and wasn't the usual Pizza or Fried Chicken). I decided on Hibachi 88 and it was the best decision ever. The staff were easy to work with - letting me customize some of the options on their catering menu (yes! they have a catering menu!). They took the order around lunchtime for a same day, evening pickup. They also threw in an extra salad just because. They even helped me load my car. The catering portions were supposed to feed 6-8, but were so large, they easily fed close to 10-15 each. At ~$50 per portion (includes chicken, veggies, and a huge container of rice) you're looking at less than $5 per person. Plus - the food was a hit. Many folks offered compliments (thinking I'd made it myself haha, I corrected them and handed them a menu :)) I loved them before, but I adore them now. IMHO this is the best Hibachi place in the Triangle. read more
