[[HIGHLIGHT]]Our entire family enjoyed this restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The All You Can Eat menu was a great value. We all had appetizers, hibachi, and sushi. Everything was delicious from the miso soup to the hibachi shrimp and fried rice, to the nigiri and rolls. The service was friendly and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere is casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll be returning to this restaurant for more delicious food when we're back in the area. We'll make sure to come hungry.

Decided to stop by here on a random evening and honestly not bad for the price. I had around 5-6 rolls of sushi and they tasted great. Service can be a little bit slow as they do get very busy so I did spend around 90 minutes here which was unfortunate. It's a really great place on a budget and for solid sushi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside the place, it gets quite loud as it does get packed almost completely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Went for dinner with a friend and left full and satisfied. Enjoyed the wide variety of sushi offered and each roll was pretty good. I did wish the hot kiss roll (bottom), marked as deep fried, had more batter and crisp to it. Crab rangoons were nice and crispy and had a good filling ratio. Hibachi was pretty standard. The gyozas were average and would probably skip next time. All of the side sauces were good and added nice flavor to the rolls. Servers were attentive and quick to bring out our orders and refill drinks. However, you do need everyone in your party to be present in order to be seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It isn't the largest restaurant and I can see how it might feel crowded when it is fully booked or seated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Similar to Mr. Tokyo in CH and nice to have a Durham AYCE option. Not the best sushi and hibachi I've had but what I expected and still pretty tasty.

So I came here solo for dinner and it was my second time coming in, last time it was for lunch. I opted for the al you can eat menu. I started with miso soup and a house salad while my two sushi rolls were being prepared. I remember the soup being better last time and I enjoyed the salad with ginger dressing. I ordered the koi roll and really enjoyed it, the name of the second roll I ordered escapes me it had a lil heat to it. My server was average, I do wish that she would have offered to refill my water but she never did. She was able to answer my questions about a few menu items and also my inquiry to purchase a gift card. I opted to give the spring rolls and crab ragoons a try, both of which I would order again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space was clean and comfortable[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Great experience! Would recommend making reservations as the wait on a Sunday night was over a half hour. But we got the all you can eat sushi and it was well worth it. All the rolls were delicious! The crab rangoon and the spring rolls were awesome. The house salad was tasty! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our table was tucked in the corner and we had plenty of room, plus the overall vibe was energetic but yet not too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend!

I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience at Koi Sushi & Hibachi and feel it's important to share. I used to be a frequent customer, but a few months ago I had a Grubhub order that was very poor in quality. I reached out at the time and was told the order could be remade. When I later came in, I was informed it had already been refunded through Grubhub, which I wasn't aware of, since Grubhub doesn't always notify customers right away when refunds are approved. I accepted that information calmly and left without any issue. Because of that experience, I hadn't been back in a while. Today, I decided to give the restaurant another chance and brought a friend who wanted to try it. Unfortunately, we were immediately turned away by the manager on shift, Connie. She recognized me, accused me of trying to get free food in the past, and refused to serve us altogether. This was based on a clear misunderstanding from months ago that was never handled negatively on my end. I was respectful then, and I came back today with good intentions. Being denied service like that, especially in front of a guest I brought, was incredibly rude, and completely unprofessional. Connie was dismissive, accusatory, and even refused to provide contact information for management other than general email. This is not how customers should be treated, especially loyal ones who are willing to give a business another chance. I will not be returning, and I'll be sharing my experience so others are aware.

AYCE sushi is usually hit or miss, but the dinner I had at Koi sushi last night was defintley a hit! I was impressed by the wide variety of menu options and I liked that they included appetizers, soups, salads, and hibachi in the AYCE deal. Service was great, the waiter was super nice and helpful and the food came out pretty quick. Although this wasn't the best sushi I've ever had, I was pretty impressed by the quality of the nigiri and the rolls. Everything I ordered was fresh and flavorful. Taste wise, the sushi was comparable or perhaps better than some of the much more expensive sushi restaurants that I've been to in the past. This dinner ended up being both a great meal and a great deal!

Unlimited! Great options, but take it slow, no reason to waste food. Service was great and my hibachi was SOLID! Sorry I didn't get any photos, maybe next time.

So happy that Durham has gained an AYCE sushi option! I enjoyed my experience here for dinner, but I have to say it didn't like blow my mind. I thought they had a good amount of selections for a reasonable price. I got the: - Hibachi (with steak, chicken, shrimp, vegetables, no rice): Pretty standard, everything was cooked well. Love that they let you customize proteins and whether or not you want veggies or rice. Only note is that I prefer yum yum sauce that's a bit thicker in consistency. - Tofu skin nigiri & Tamago nigiri: Decent, didn't really stand out to me. - Sweet potato roll: Probably my favorite thing that I ate. The sweet potato was deep fried, providing the perfect crunch. The portion was really good (bites weren't huge like chef special rolls). Only negative was that I got a class roll instead of the hand roll I had selected. - Koi roll (shrimp tempura, cream cheese & cucumber with spicy crabmeat & crunch on top, eel sauce & yum yum sauce): This was okay; tbh I got it bc it was the only chef special roll without avocado (might be a hot take lol), but I learned that I don't like cream cheese in sushi either haha. The roll is quite big, which could be a plus or minus depending on personal preference. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice ambiance and service (food came out at a good pace).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went on a Friday night, had 4 people in our party, and were seated almost immediately. Conveniently located (replaced Vine Asian Cuisine) with a big parking lot. 8/10 would recommend at least once!

This place was such an unexpected treasure!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great menu selection, quick service, decent ambiance inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was clean and the tables were well kept.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sushi was excellent and they offer a variety of hand rolls which is awesome! Definitely going back.

Will & Well is a great addition to Boxyard if you're looking for a fresh salad, grain bowl, or…read moresmoothie option. The setup is counter service, with a handful of premade salads and bowls on the menu, or you can build your own. The build-your-own option starts at $12.99 and includes your base, five toppings, one crunchy/dry topping, and dressing. Proteins are extra and range from about $4.25-$6.50, with options including tofu, shrimp, chicken, steak, and tuna. I opted for a build-your-own bowl with chicken, which came out to just under $20 before tip. At first, that felt a little pricey to me, but the portion size was absolutely massive. Honestly, it was large enough to easily make two meals, which made the value feel much better. The woman helping me was incredibly friendly and even let me sample three different dressings before deciding. I also appreciated that you can get your dressing on the side if you prefer. All 3 I tried were good, but all very different, and I'm glad I had a chance to try them! One thing to note is that it was fairly warm inside the business, which gave me a little pause considering it's a salad-focused concept. That said, everything tasted fresh and high quality. There were only two employees working during my visit on a Wednesday around 6:30, and with about 4-5 people ahead of me, it took around 20 minutes to place my order, get my bowl made, and check out. The staff was working hard, and being incredibly helpful, but if you're in a hurry, just plan accordingly. Overall, I'd definitely return. It's nice to have a quality salad option at Boxyard, the ingredients were fresh, the portions were generous, and the service was helpful and kind. Just be prepared that there may be a bit of a wait and to spend around $20 if you're adding protein (but you can easily share or make two meals from it!!!) My picture doesn't do the size justice I promise!

I'd seen that celebrity Tabitha Brown stopped by recently and loved the salads, which made me want to visit even more. I stopped through on a weekday afternoon. I ordered the signature salad, Salsa Verde with quinoa (you can add your choice of grain) and a freshly made hibiscus juice (so refreshing!). Everything was so fresh and so delicious. The salad was coated with just the amount of dressing and the sweet potatoes on the salad were a special treat, making the salad both unique and delicious! The hibiscus juice was refreshing and not syrupy sweet like many juices from other establishments. I will definitely be back to try other salads!

Sweet with a little bit of tang and you can definitely taste the seasoning. The crust has the right thickness the right crunch and the right give. The crust could stand to have a little more flavor but overall it was a solid crust. My issue with the food was for $25 on a 8x10 pizza, there should be enough cheese in the mix to cover more than 60% of the pizza. They have a "signature cheese blend" but then 40% of the pizza doesn't get any of it. A bit disappointing. Which gives the value a 2/5 at best. In addition to these two factors I was asked my name for the order when I arrived. The young lady walked off and then I spotted her on her phone in the corner, followed by folding pizza boxes in a different corner. Eventually a gentleman approached with the same question. Wouldn't you know it, my order was sitting right there next to the host stand. Not impressive. The ambiance is a bit pretentious for a place serving pizza which I found to be pretty greasy. The ambiance definitely matches the price so I guess that's what they are going for. The only lot for parking is paid but I suppose that may be the norm for "downtown" Durham. The flavor again was very good, but the value and the competency of the staff are a miss. As a frequent traveler I think I'd explore the other options next time rather than return.

Our food was REALLY good. If you like Cobb salad, you will definitely like this one. The chicken was pan seared perfectly, the vinaigrette was perfectly tangy and the bleu cheese was especially excellent. My friend's chicken sandwich has SO MUCH chicken salad on it. Impressive. There was so many neat items to see in the place. The murals were great, there were some cute retail spaces, a coffee bar up front, a bar downstairs, and ice cream outside!
