It's been a while since I've been to Tasu. Last time I was here they had stopped doing the buy one get one sushi rolls. Happy to announce that it is back! Went out to dinner with my family after especially hard day and week. We ordered a bunch of rolls and my son got Ramen. Huge portions everything tasted great! Server was very attentive. That did quickly as it wasn't too busy.

Came here with a friend for dinner and was impressed by some things, others not so much! Our waitress was very nice but the service was kind of slow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is fairly clean but the bathrooms were a little wet with a strange smell.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The crab rangoons are great- we really enjoyed those! However, the pad Thai (a wonderfully large portion by the way) was hard to eat as the noodles were tough. Overall a pretty average experience.

I had ordered some sushi rolls, soup and salad. All of it was good. Waitress was very attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good place for a quick meal[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ate here today as a pre birthday weekend while visiting family. We tried the scallop roll and salmon roll under the buy one get one menu. We also tried the Crazy Donkey and the Tom Yum Roll. I have to say the Crazy Donkey was by far my favorite. The flavors were so good. Mandy was our server, she was busy during the time we were there but she did a great job making sure we were okay during our lunch.

I am updating my review and completely removing my previous review as the removal is deserved. I recently dined at Tasu and I have to tell you, not only was the menu a better option with the buy one get one 1/2 off, but the food was very good, the service was great, especially for a waiter that had his hands full, the manager was extremely friendly and came over to the table and made his appreciation known, and the area we dined was very clean and the ambiance a little quieter than normal, which was nice. Overall, it was a great experience and one worthy of a vast score improvement.

Super happy with my first experience dining here! They have BOGO 50% off sushi rolls which was a nice surprise, the servers were friendly, the food came out quick, and the sushi was delicious! I'm already making plans to come back ASAP.

We stumbled on this as we were grabbing an early dinner after dropping someone off at the airport. What a great discovery! All the traditional Asian dishes we love but so fresh and with nice touches. I had the Honey chicken and it was very lightly battered which was so nice and had beautiful fresh veggies in it. My husband had Mushoo chicken and said it was delicious. Huge servings mean we get leftovers for dinner tonight!

My brother and I had a great experience here. To start, our server was great. He was so nice and quick and on top of everything. We started with the bang bang shrimp to start. They came out super hot and fresh. The sauce on the shrimp was great! To eat my brother got the steak and chicken hibachi. I have to say it was delicious! I had 3 sushi rolls, the Spider-Man roll, calamari roll, and shrimp tempura roll. All were good but I think my favorite was the calamari roll. Yum! The ambiance is very relaxed and casual as well. We will be back!

So...I ate inside and it wasn't much better. We sat in a booth in the back and there were tiny ants (at least four) crawling around. When we asked to be moved and told one of the staff he said...maybe the rain brought them in....i was troubled. The food is still just mediocre but you can't beat the BOGO deal. If I was paying full price I wouldn't come here for sure.

Enjoyed a nice lunch with a friend. We both ordered hibachi chicken. This came with brown rice, noodles, peppers and onions and two kinds of sauce. Plus for a little more we ordered iced tea and a vegetable spring roll and soup or salad. The veggies were cooked nicely, and were bright and colorful. The peppers had a nice crunch to them and the onions were sautéed well. The chicken was bite size and moist and this meal was enough for two. The spring roll was full of veggies and cooked well. I particularly enjoyed the hot and sour soup today. This was loaded with flavor. All in all a delicious meal.

Food: 4 Service: 5 Ambience: 4 Order: Lettuce Wraps, Chicken Drunken Noodle, Pineapple Fried Rice Date/Time: 8/14/2022 7pm Crowd: full house, 10 min wait A Sunday night and a packed house says something about what your experience will be. There was a very large group taking almost half of the main dining room and just 1 server for that entire dining room. We were the only ones waiting for a seat and one came available 10 mins after arrival. The ambience was appealing and modern with both booth and table seating. One other smaller dining area was available just behind the host area. The bar further back beyond the main dining area also had seating but was noisier. Also, the place was like sitting in a refrigerated box...VERY COLD making the experience a bit challenging. The server was one of the hardest working ones ever experienced anywhere. She moved fast and efficiently among the large area she had to service in her own. Of course the need to do that with the packed crowd didn't give her much ability to interact except to just take the order and go. She excelled in everything you'd expect from a server, taking the order, delivering it and checking back to refill water. Very good server! The food was excellent except for the charred taste of the Lettuce Wrap meat. It tasted like they scraped the burn bits off the bottom. Thankfully the sauce covered the taste to allow them to be eaten. The Pineapple Fried Rice had just enough spice to blend nicely with the pineapples. The Drunken Noodle had more spice and very tender chicken. Overall the experience was very good and would recommend it.

Manhattan Roll (back) and the Emerald Roll (front)

Good value with the BOGO deal on the rolls. My cousin and I ordered takeout from here on a Saturday evening. I ordered the Manhattan roll (shrimp tempura, eel, and cucumber inside topped with snow crab, smelt roe, and eel sauce) and the Emerald roll (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, blue crab, ans avocado inside wrapped in cucumber and topped with ponzu sauce). Both were good, but had so many different ingredients that it was hard to taste any of them individually. Skip if you're looking for high-quality fish, but it's a great place if you're craving sushi at an affordable cost.

This restaurant has plenty of many menu options to choose from and their portions sizes are large. They have plenty of seating space as it's a big restaurant and are always accommodating. I have been twice and have not had an issue with the staff. I would definitely visit again to try new items. They also have daily drink specials.

I loved the atmosphere and didn't realize it was so big inside. Our server was super nice and helpful when ordering. I ordered the teriyaki chicken without onions and our server was so awesome that she let me know that the ginger dressing on my salad contained onions. She wanted to make sure I didn't have an allergy. How amazing?! The chicken teriyaki and the veggies it was served with were absolutely AMAZING! Seriously, IDK what they did to those veggies but this may have been the best meal I've ever had! They gave my husband a scoop of mango icecream with a candle in it for his birthday. Love that! The broth had great depth, the spice provided a nice kick, loved all the different toppings but I do think there could have been more pork. - Tonkatsu Ramen (Signature rich pork broth, pork belly, bamboo shoot, wood ear mushroom, green onion, 1/2 seasoned soft-boiled egg, thin straight noodles): Same great broth as the tan tan, chashu was perfectly fatty and tender, liked all the toppings again. The noodles themselves didn't really stand out to me. - Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box (Dashimaki, shrimp shumai, salad, pickles, rice, miso soup): Ehh... this was fine, but I'd definitely skip it next time. For the price, the quantity and quality of everything but maybe the chicken (which was smoky but way too sweet) was lackluster. - Chicken Curry Don (Panko breaded chicken cutlet, Japanese-style curry sauce, potato, carrot, onion, nori): The chicken was crispy, but quantity was so small. Curry was tasty, but inadequately warmed. - Raindrop (Plant-based ice jelly, brown sugar syrup, soybean powder): Such a unique dessert- ofc the visual is great, but the texture was interesting and it was subtly sweet too. Ambiance is nice, but the space is pretty small. Service was fast and friendly. There's plentiful parking. 7.5/10 would recommend!

Oohhh, sweet sweet Shijiri. You're a divine angel soaring high above other mere mortal sushi…read morerestaurants. The talent and fresh perspective you bring to American Japanese cuisine deserves to be honored, praised and frankly, worshiped by the other "sushi" restaurants in this area. Shijiri is wholely unique in it's take on Japanese cuisine as it serves it's meals very similarly in style to what you'd get in Japan, in "sets". This means your fish will come with sushi rice, soup, salad and other goodies that pair with the main course. You can order some fish a la carte but the beauty of this restaurant lies within the sets. You might scoff at the prices, but the prices "include" tip because they do not allow tipping in this restaurant. And, you get PLENTY of food in each set. The price points are extremely reasonable. The lack of tipping does not dilute the service, either. Just like in Japan, the service is top notch and the two times we've been here so far, it has been amazing. The first time we went here we got the Shijiri gallery and we're blown away by the fish and how fresh it tasted. The second time we went we got the signature and the kama. I can't say enough about how good the kama was. This collar was huge, with perfectly crispy skin and smooth buttery meat. The salmon belly and shrimp it came with we're equally cooked to perfection. I don't know how I'm gonna order anything else now that I've had it, it was so insanely good. The signature, though, was not on the same level as the gallery. I can't be certain, but I believe they serve the prime cuts of fish with the gallery and the less than prime cuts with the signature. I felt like the fish in the signature had a more metallic taste than what we got in the gallery. This could be a one off, though. The first time we came we were gifted a plum ice finisher, like their version of an Andes mint but it was plum and yuzu flavored shaved ice. Oh em gee, it was so stinkin' good! I was bummed when we didn't get it the second go. The restaurant itself is small and they fill up quick. The service is fast though, so I don't think you'd be waiting too long if there was a wait on a busy night. Be aware that the chairs are backless, but most tables have a booth component so if you're like me and need a back to your chair to be comfortable, you can sit on the booth side. The restaurant has been extremely clean when we've been there. The back area where the bathrooms are is cluttered and really the only stain in the restaurant as a whole. The bathrooms themselves are emaculate, though. Hopefully they find a way to utilize the space better and declutter that back area. In summary: go here.
