This was my delivery order today. $20 I've eaten there many times before so was extremely disappointed in this portion.
It's been a while since I've been to Tasu. Last time I was here they had stopped doing the buy one get one sushi rolls. Happy to announce that it is back! Went out to dinner with my family after especially hard day and week. We ordered a bunch of rolls and my son got Ramen. Huge portions everything tasted great! Server was very attentive. That did quickly as it wasn't too busy.
Came here with a friend for dinner and was impressed by some things, others not so much! Our waitress was very nice but the service was kind of slow. The inside is fairly clean but the bathrooms were a little wet with a strange smell. The crab rangoons are great- we really enjoyed those! However, the pad Thai (a wonderfully large portion by the way) was hard to eat as the noodles were tough. Overall a pretty average experience.
Ate here today as a pre birthday weekend while visiting family. We tried the scallop roll and salmon roll under the buy one get one menu. We also tried the Crazy Donkey and the Tom Yum Roll. I have to say the Crazy Donkey was by far my favorite. The flavors were so good. Mandy was our server, she was busy during the time we were there but she did a great job making sure we were okay during our lunch.
I am updating my review and completely removing my previous review as the removal is deserved. I recently dined at Tasu and I have to tell you, not only was the menu a better option with the buy one get one 1/2 off, but the food was very good, the service was great, especially for a waiter that had his hands full, the manager was extremely friendly and came over to the table and made his appreciation known, and the area we dined was very clean and the ambiance a little quieter than normal, which was nice. Overall, it was a great experience and one worthy of a vast score improvement.
Super happy with my first experience dining here! They have BOGO 50% off sushi rolls which was a nice surprise, the servers were friendly, the food came out quick, and the sushi was delicious! I'm already making plans to come back ASAP.
We stumbled on this as we were grabbing an early dinner after dropping someone off at the airport. What a great discovery! All the traditional Asian dishes we love but so fresh and with nice touches. I had the Honey chicken and it was very lightly battered which was so nice and had beautiful fresh veggies in it. My husband had Mushoo chicken and said it was delicious. Huge servings mean we get leftovers for dinner tonight!
My brother and I had a great experience here. To start, our server was great. He was so nice and quick and on top of everything. We started with the bang bang shrimp to start. They came out super hot and fresh. The sauce on the shrimp was great! To eat my brother got the steak and chicken hibachi. I have to say it was delicious! I had 3 sushi rolls, the Spider-Man roll, calamari roll, and shrimp tempura roll. All were good but I think my favorite was the calamari roll. Yum! The ambiance is very relaxed and casual as well. We will be back!
So...I ate inside and it wasn't much better. We sat in a booth in the back and there were tiny ants (at least four) crawling around. When we asked to be moved and told one of the staff he said...maybe the rain brought them in....i was troubled. The food is still just mediocre but you can't beat the BOGO deal. If I was paying full price I wouldn't come here for sure.
Enjoyed a nice lunch with a friend. We both ordered hibachi chicken. This came with brown rice, noodles, peppers and onions and two kinds of sauce. Plus for a little more we ordered iced tea and a vegetable spring roll and soup or salad. The veggies were cooked nicely, and were bright and colorful. The peppers had a nice crunch to them and the onions were sautéed well. The chicken was bite size and moist and this meal was enough for two. The spring roll was full of veggies and cooked well. I particularly enjoyed the hot and sour soup today. This was loaded with flavor. All in all a delicious meal.
Food: 4 Service: 5 Ambience: 4 Order: Lettuce Wraps, Chicken Drunken Noodle, Pineapple Fried Rice Date/Time: 8/14/2022 7pm Crowd: full house, 10 min wait A Sunday night and a packed house says something about what your experience will be. There was a very large group taking almost half of the main dining room and just 1 server for that entire dining room. We were the only ones waiting for a seat and one came available 10 mins after arrival. The ambience was appealing and modern with both booth and table seating. One other smaller dining area was available just behind the host area. The bar further back beyond the main dining area also had seating but was noisier. Also, the place was like sitting in a refrigerated box...VERY COLD making the experience a bit challenging. The server was one of the hardest working ones ever experienced anywhere. She moved fast and efficiently among the large area she had to service in her own. Of course the need to do that with the packed crowd didn't give her much ability to interact except to just take the order and go. She excelled in everything you'd expect from a server, taking the order, delivering it and checking back to refill water. Very good server! The food was excellent except for the charred taste of the Lettuce Wrap meat. It tasted like they scraped the burn bits off the bottom. Thankfully the sauce covered the taste to allow them to be eaten. The Pineapple Fried Rice had just enough spice to blend nicely with the pineapples. The Drunken Noodle had more spice and very tender chicken. Overall the experience was very good and would recommend it.
Good value with the BOGO deal on the rolls. My cousin and I ordered takeout from here on a Saturday evening. I ordered the Manhattan roll (shrimp tempura, eel, and cucumber inside topped with snow crab, smelt roe, and eel sauce) and the Emerald roll (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, blue crab, ans avocado inside wrapped in cucumber and topped with ponzu sauce). Both were good, but had so many different ingredients that it was hard to taste any of them individually. Skip if you're looking for high-quality fish, but it's a great place if you're craving sushi at an affordable cost.

Tasu's always a solid pick if you're in Brier Creek. Their sushi is super fresh, and guess what? Sushi BOGO is back for dine-in! You have to try the San Francisco roll. And for hot stuff, their sesame chicken is out of this world. The service is awesome, and the staff really knows their stuff about the menu. Plus, they've renovated, and the place looks so good now! It's definitely our go-to spot for me and my family. read more
I came with my mom for lunch on a Saturday. Their lunch menu is only served on weekdays, so we ordered off the dinner/sushi menu. The restaurant is nicely decorated and our server was nice, but they seemed understaffed. My mom had to go find our server when we were ready to pay/leave. Hibachi Chicken with Fried Rice: Tasty and it came with enough sauce. The fried rice was a bit boring, I wish I had gone with double lo mein for an upcharge. Shrimp & Scallop Special Roll: We loved this roll and I would definitely recommend it! The shrimp tempura was crispy and the sauces were tasty. This restaurant has plenty of many menu options to choose from and their portions sizes are large. They have plenty of seating space as it's a big restaurant and are always accommodating. I have been twice and have not had an issue with the staff. I would definitely visit again to try new items. They also have daily drink specials. read more

This place is NOT what it' use to be. The BOGO were small basic rolls like this that were average and all specialty rolls were paid per roll. If they were high quality bangin rolls, I wouldn't be mad about it but my sister ordered two of her go-to rolls back in the day, she compared them to a grocery store quality roll. Also, every almost every dish was 20$+!! My Pad Thai wasn't bad -but then again, you can't really screw that up. The ambiance was VERY brightly lit and it was fairly empty for a weekend dinner night. Comes to show that you're doing something wrong and different than what it used to be where it would be absolutely slammed and had wait times to be seated. It's sad to see a classic and favorite restaurant of my family drop in quality but it is what it is. I wouldn't recommend coming here, there are so many great Asian restaurants in the triangle now, you aren't missing much skipping this one. read more

Tasu is always on point . Great quality/ and excellent service! Their wonton noodle soup is phenomenal. Also, their poke bowls are made to order and delicious. Some of my favorite rolls are the classic ones such as Florida, Nemo, Sweet Dragon and Tokyo Sunrise. Lastly, I'd like to compliment their music taste, making really comfortable to dine-in and having a great time with your family, friends or co-workers. Tasu, keep up with your great work! read more
This is NOT where it's at in terms of sushi or Asian food. Food is mediocre and overpriced. Lunch bento box was $16, bland and lackluster. Sushi is BOGO if you buy a drink, but quality is inconsistent. Sometimes sushi is fresh and full of fish, sometimes it tastes off and is mostly rice and sauce. Service is also inconsistent - sometimes timely and friendly and sometimes you never get the drink you ordered. Restaurant is laid out like a labyrinth. We walked through 3 rooms and a hallway to get to our table. Tables in the front room face a constant parade of people walking past their table to get to other sections of the restaurant and bathroom and it gets noisy on weekends when people wait right next to those tables. read more

First time going to this place and chose it because Tasu stays open all day unlike most sushi spots that close at 2:30 and reopen around 5. It's located in Brier Creek and nice and clean inside, and everyone was wearing masks. When we went we were the only table there but unfortunately our server was really slow, not around when we needed him, and we saw him seated at a table in the back with his back towards us causing him to not pay attention to our table which caused a delay in things we needed. The crab rangoon was good! You can never go wrong with it. The calamari on the other hand was hard and dry, and a very small portion compared to other calamari appetizers at other restaurants. Would not get that again. The pad thai was great however it was like 70% meat and 30% noodles which some people might love but it was too many large pieces of chicken for me. The California roll on fire was amazingggggggg I would come back just for this! It was way better than the volcano roll, which we were actually not a fan of, and we ended up switching the volcano roll for another California roll on fire. (The sushi is buy one get one free with the purchase of a drink, get Thai tea because it was delicious) read more

I came here with a friend of mine and I got the buy one get one free sushi rolls and he got the pad Thai. The pad thai was a generous amount for the money and he said it was really good. I've got to admit I was a little disappointed with my sushi rolls. They were not very big, I feel like because they do the buy one get one free they skimp a little bit on the ingredients. Visited here with family after seeing a movie. Service was very fast and they accommodated our 9 person party in a prompt manner! Got the Tasu Bento Box which lets you pick your entrees. Thai Basil Chicken, Vegetable Roll, White Rice and Avocado Roll are what I picked and everything was very good! The Vegetable Roll was fried well and super crispy. Basil Chicken had a great heat level to it and was a great texture. Avocado Rolls were very fresh and delicious. Will be back in the future! read more

Qwik-E-Mart watch out, you have a serious contender for gas station sushi! I have been here twice and I have never been impressed by their sushi. The rolls have dry rice in them, to the point of being ready to make fried rice, the specialty rolls are fairly flavorless, and the fish cuts are super small! Don't come here for the sushi, seriously, pick up a package of sushi from your local grocery or gas station for similar experience. Next time I come here, I'll try their soup, hopefully it doesn't disappoint as much as the sushi has! read more

I've been here twice and I love the buy one get one free sushi deal! They have a pretty expansive and fair priced menu, both in terms of sushi options and other options. Both times I have sat at the bar area, which is spacious and casual. They also have a full bar to include sake, wine, beer, and liquor. They have several martinis and cocktails, and run drink specials throughout the week. Tonight several of us shared appetizers and sushi. We had the bang bang shrimp (4 out of 5), chicken lettuce wraps (5 out of 5), calamari (1 out of 5, cold, crunchy, just not good), and crab Rangoon (2.5 out of 5, one did not even have any filling.. just fried dough with air in it and not in the good elephant ear kind of way). Sushi was a Bagel roll (3/5) and surf and turf roll (4/5). I really enjoyed the surf and turf, but the others really liked the Bagel roll. I also had the Beijing Bellini martini which was good and a dirty martini which was very strong. The 4 is a combination of value, menu options, and drinks. The calamari and crab Rangoon would be a hard pass next time. read more
My friend and I came here for lunch on a weekend after a visit to Umstead Park because she said it was her favorite sushi place in the Triangle area. She loves her sushi, so that was a high compliment! We each got two sushi rolls because of their BOGO deal with purchase of a drink. I got pineapple juice and she got black tea - the tea was too pricey at $5 in my opinion. For sushi, I tried the Alaskan (smoked salmon, smelt roe, and snow crab inside with sliced avocado on top) and the Sweet Dragon (shrimp tempura and spicy mayo inside, with eel, avocado, and eel sauce on top). I'd tried the Sweet Dragon before at their sister location, Shiki Sushi, in Durham, so I already knew that I liked that roll, but I was a bit disappointed in the Alaskan. The size of each roll was also pretty small. However, I really like their lunch specials! I got the Thai Hot Fish lunch special to-go (crispy fried fish, bell peppers, onions, scallions, ginger, and broccoli). It also came with a choice of salad or soup (hot and sour or miso). The portion for the fish was massive and it tasted delicious! read more
