    Hibachi steak, less extra steak

My first time at this location, ordered Hibachi Steak, added & paid for extra steak. See photo Online pics show soup & salad, though menu does not state that is included (like most others), nor is there an option to add. For $31.00, all I get is a massive amount of rice, clearly not extra beef and was cold when delivered. I live less than 5 minutes. Have yet to taste.

I think it was OK. My wife lives close by, and decided to check this place out because we love Asian and it's really close by. It's really easy to find it's located in the strip mall right off of a Main Street. The inside has very little Decour like everyone says. There is a fish tank, and some basic things that resemble a traditional Asian spot. It looks family-owned which I like. We stop by close to closing time, probably about 8 PM. My wife what are the steak hibachi and I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi. Combos come with rice and cabbage. We also ordered crab Rangoon and chicken eggrolls. My wife said that the chicken eggrolls were the best! She noted that she would never order them at a Chinese restaurant if the Japanese ones are so much better!! The crab Rangoon was different. The feeling was very bare, and I'm not sure how often or how normal that might be.. I'm used to them being stuffed with a filling and fried to perfection, but these were mostly full of air. They were OK. As for my meal, I would have sent a picture but it was so heavy that my rice spilled out of the Styrofoam container. It came with lots and lots of rice and not much veggies. Which was disappointing since I really didn't want the rice. My chicken was over cooked and dry. Didn't come with much shrimp. The rice was dry as well.

In a dingy stripmall, this is not a big fancy Japanese steakhouse. No big tables or fancy shows. But the food is amazing. It's just a little place, a few tables, a bar in front of the grills. No decor to speak of. They seem to do mainly carryout, but I stayed. I'm sure you could watch from the bar and the chefs might do a bit of a show. I just ate. And ate. I ordered the chicken/steak/shrimp combo, and they brought it to the table in a to-go box that I could barely lift. It was packed full inside, and was easily enough for two meals. It comes with fried rice and some veggies, and I added more veggies, but still. Wow. Anyway, the food was incredible. Steak was cooked to order and tender, chicken and shrimp were tender, all were full of flavor. The fried rice was even better than most I've had at fancier hibachis. I barely touched the sauces- they just weren't needed. Service was super friendly, though minimal. Pop is in cans and silverware is, well, plastic. Come for the food, or get it to go. Save your money for the show someplace else. Prices here ain't cheap, but compared to the fancier places they are good. The music was loud Christian radio (not that there's anything wrong with that...) but I tuned it out. I will definitely be back, and if I lived in the area I would be fat from eating this once a week.

Fried rice + steak + shrimp + extra shimp. Comes with cabbage & carrots. 10/10. Delicious fast food. ~$16

Has to be my favorite place to get delicious hibachi style food FAST!! Everything I've had here is great! Dont come here to dine in. Located in a small strip mall off Cleveland ave, call on ur way to pick up & it will be ready when u get there. There might be a table & a couple chairs only. Order to go. My favorite combo is the fried rice with steak + shrimp. It comes with delicious cabbage + carrots & choice of yum yum or ginger sauce. Get both.. And extra yum yum. The lobster is also delicious! Slightly overcooked but that's my preference. They also have chicken, scallop & salmon. I'm not a fan of any hibachi chicken anywhere as I find it quite dry & that's no different here so I Dont order it. Their veggies are also delicious but it kinda sucks paying for each vegetable separately although delicious and a great vege option. These guys are super fast!! Meals always done in 10minutes. I'm a fan!!

Pros: Very friendly and fast, they have delicious authentic onion soup!, zucchini option is a plus, comes with fried rice, yum yum and ginger sauces are delicious. Everything was fresh and delicious. Cons: they got rid of the salad ginger dressing (was hoping for) that's still on the menu, the fried rice is just rice cooked in soy sauce (a plus for vegans) and price can be identical to a full restaurant depending what you choose - for me by the time I asked for everything that I would normally get with an entree at a full restaurant it was the same price ($15)- which would normally include soup, salad, zucchini, onions, mushrooms and sauces with entree.

I had no idea this new place is so close to home! I see it very closely resembles the Gengi-go atmosphere, take japanese steakhouse food, minus cooking at your table experience and take to go. Not a very large place by any means, only a few tables and a bar like seating arrangement. You can order combos, sushi.. (menus uploaded). Also they have soup and salad like you would have at sit down version of japanese steakhouse. They also have yum yum sauce which is pretty tasty. I ordered my food to go, ordered steak and shrimp combo which are pre measured out portions of NY strip steak and shrimp. I believe it came with 7 pieces of shrimp and about the same of steak. Also comes with fried rice, cabbage and carrots..if youd like onion, mushroom or zucchini it's $1 extra for each..i ordered onion and zucchini. The salad was just iceburg with carrots and yum yum sauce. Since i took home i was able to garnish with bacon. Soup was typical, broth, a few green onions and few mushrooms. Fried rice was okay, nothing spectacular. You are able to have two sauces of either 2 yum yum or 2 ginger or one of each. Overall was just ok- i do not feel it measures up in taste like Gengi-go. Spent $17 on myself and wasn't all that impressed since everything tasted pretty much the same.

Steak and shrimp for $12.99. Had a better combo for the same price and taste elsewhere

Expensive? Yes. Incredible? Also yes…read more The sushi here was incredible. Given that it's technically in a strip mall, my expectations weren't very high but I was quickly transported and impressed. I've been to quite a few Omakase dinners that left more to be desired and this was not the case here. The dinner here was on par with some I've had in NYC. We opted to add on the premium course which I would recommend highly. The wagyu was absolutely incredible. The courses were timed well and I felt extremely satisfied. One thing to note is that they do not sell wine by the glass. You'll want to order a bottle or do the pairing. We did not do the pairing since my husband had to drive, but coming back I would definitely add that. For the premium omakase, a bottle of wine, and one additional piece of nigiri each, our dinner for two ran around $440 before tip.

Ambiance: inside is a well lit open space. The Omakase counter is a beautiful experience. Dining tables are also well decorated. Spacing is well done for it being a fairly small interior. Food: 1. First course: misu soup has a rich broth. The tofu is soft and slightly squishy. I'm not a big soup fan so this isn't anything special for me. 3 2. Second course: right to left. Right was fatty and melted in your mouth. The wasabi topping added a nice kick to the flavorful fatty tuna. 7. The middle fatty, soft, flavorful punch from the chipotle sauce. Spicy and flavorful. The bean sprouts add a great crunch and contrast to the richness. This one was incredible. 9. Third one fatty and tender. We got a couple appetizers to try and a couple ramen dishes to try. The Karaage was okay, the breading wasn't special and the flavor of the nuggets and sauce were a bit underwhelming. The gyoza was disappointing and lacked flavor. The TanTan Mazemen was good but it could have used some extra toppings to help the dish, such as corn, mushrooms, or something to balance the savory flavor. The sauce was pretty good but the ratio to ramen noodles was way too much sauce. We asked for an extra bowl of plain noodles but got a bowl of noodles and sauce. The Spicy Miso was pretty good and flavorful, it had decent toppings and spice. It was a solid basic miso broth and pretty good. Overall, the food was good but there was something missing from each dish and it was a bit pricey for the individual dishes. Staff was nice but seemed somewhat rushed when we were trying to order and throughout our meal. Overall, they were very attentive and would clean off our table every time they stopped by. We felt like we had to finish our dish because they wanted to grab the empty dish. Overall, it was a decent experience. I was a bit disappointed in the food but would try other dishes if I'm in the area. Staff was nice and service was good!

My wife and I both ordered Power Bowls and when they brought them the cashier told us the chef said there has to be a base so they just did noodles. Both of us are trying to cut carbs. The bowls were all noodles no chicken or vegetables. When we took them back to the counter first the owner had to search the register for our order, we were the only people in the place. They agreed to make it again. While we're waiting the owner comes out and points to the sign and says that's only catering because I think he thought the order would weigh 50lbs. The owner also berated the cashier while we were waiting. We ended up not having them remake. We essentially had 1 meal for my daughter for which we paid $53. I also gave the cashier $10 for being put in the middle of this situation. I then saw the owner make him put it in the tip jar. Do not go to this location. Greed makes people do some crazy things. I hope it was worth losing good customers over an order not wanting rice or noodles. I assume they want to load up on noddles so customers don't notice they are skimping on protein and vegetables.

I came here on a cold March evening with my colleagues for a team dinner after a two-day conference. My co-worker was kind enough to tell the restaurant we were celebrating my birthday, so they had decorated our table with some cute birthday confetti and had a card for me. Such a nice touch! I wish I had thought to take pics, but I was so exhausted. Now, on to the food! We got calamari for the table as a starter. It was sprinkled with feta, which I enjoyed. It was cooked nicely and had great flavor. Oddly, we got served butter and sour cream instead of the black pepper aioli and voodoo sauce that was supposed to come with it. Thankfully, they realized it and brought us the right sauces. For my main, I got the Blackened Seared Scallops, a really unique dish that came topped with pork belly and served on creamed corn with tomato jam and bourbon syrup. This leaned to the sweet side but the smoky flavor of the pork belly gave great balance to the delicate scallops and the sweetness. And that bourbon syrup was addictive. I cleaned my plate! I would definitely recommend this dish if you like a sweet/savory combo. None of us ordered drinks or dessert on this go-around, but the manager stopped by to chat with us. Again, really nice touch. One slightly worrying thing: one of my colleagues is allergic to mushrooms. He ordered something that didn't mention mushrooms on the menu, but it was on the plate. Thankfully he noticed it before he started eating and they remade it for him without mushrooms. So if you have food allergies, be sure to ask questions because it may include an ingredient the menu doesn't mention. That said, our servers were wonderful and it was an overall pleasant experience.
