This place is a hidden gem for sure amongst all of the hibachi places in the metro Atlanta area. Once I had the chicken hibachi the first time, I had to go back literally the next day. I love yum yum sauce and this restaurant gives you just enough for the regular sized meal. The fridge is always stocked and the food is always fresh. I usually call ahead to place my order so that I wouldn't have to wait because there could be a good amount of people ordering/waiting for food. Food was bland and not what I ordered. When I tried to clarify at the register she assured me that it was "all there". I'm pretty sure that's what she mumbled before pointing at the No Refunds sign and motioning me away. For start the location was very clean. The staff members were about average. I ordered fried rice with shrimp and steak. I asked for the steak to me cooked medium. What I received was sweet glazed steak and shrimp which was cooked well done... or medium well. The steak had no pink whatsoever. The fried rice was not flavorful at all. I happened to be in the Tucker area one afternoon around lunch time and this place popped into my head. After living in Athens for a few years, Inoko Express holds a special place in my heart. Unfortunately, there aren't many places like it around Atlanta. I remembered that this place existed and decided that I needed to try it since I'm so rarely in this part of town. It's a smallish space attached to a gas station. It's nothing fancy - exactly what I've come to expect from these hibachi express type places. I ordered the hibachi steak, shrimp, and scallops. It wasn't super impressive, but it hit the spot. I think there is some expectation of greasy, overcooked deliciousness at a place like this. And that's fine by me. Prices are on par with other places like this, so expect to pay about 9 or 10 bucks. The staff is friendly and the service is relatively quick. Not bad for a quick pick up dinner and best of all its three minutes from the house. Decent little side salad with ginger dressing. I had the full size hibachi chicken, it was so good I ate it all even though my intention was to have half for lunch tomorrow. Con is I hate soy sauce in the packets so typically if I get rice to go I'll use some from the bottle on a table but this place didn't have that. I was looking for a nearby hibachi restaurant to satisfy my hunger and my search ended when I found this gem. What can I say? A takeout hibachi express with inexpensive prices and great reviews? Why not give it a try! I pulled up to the restaurant; it was connected to a chevron which was out of the ordinary but I wasn't quick to judge. Walked inside to a clean place and friendly staff. This hole in the wall gas station hibachi place USED to be an amazing cheap hibachi spot. They have good food for a good price and honestly I loved it. However, we are all worried about sanitary takeout food during the COVID crisis and I ordered takeout here and went to pick up my food. It LOOKS like they're taking precautions, but I've never been so disgusted in my life after seeing them work. I was told my food would take 10-15 minutes, and I waited for over 25 minutes standing in the tiny restaurant being ignored by the girl up front as my order sat on the counter getting cold. I think she's the daughter of the owner, but she's completely clueless. I watched her not wear any mask or gloves, take cash and card payments from multiple customers and then proceed to touch the inside of ALL of the takeout packaging. I wanted to leave without my food because I know she's spreading germs and absolutely not caring about the health of the customers. It was so disgusting. At least the cooks wore masks, but what's the point if her grimy hands are all over every takeout box? I'm not going back. She's clueless and they are NOT SAFE TO EAT AT. read more

I love this place! The owners are so pleasant and the area is super clean. It is located next to the gas station, so you can get gas and get some takeout at the same time! I usually order the scallop dish and it is delicious. Nice, fresh plate of scallops and rice with some veggies and delicious sauce. It is a small little hole in the wall with a few tables, canned sodas and plastic wear. They are very generous on the portions and don't skimp on the meat/seafood portion of the dish. The owners/workers and always walking around cleaning when not working. The prices are very reasonable and food is made fresh and quick. It is generally ready within 10 minutes of ordering. This place did not disappoint! We have always wanted to find a place to get hibachi without having to spend $30+ per person at the sit-down steakhouses...and this was perfect. The portions are good, prices great, and the yellow sauce is the best I've ever had! The people that work there are also friendly and pleasant. Only one thing I would like to see - the regular and large portions are in the same to-go box, and as a consumer I'd just like to see clear divisions between the two. We got the large portions, but I imagine if it were the regular it would seem small because it didn't fill the box...and then with the large you're not sure how much extra you're paying for. If you are looking for a large menu, this is not your place. But if you are looking for great Hibachi that is made to order, reasonably priced. If you are not eating here, you are missing out. I really cannot understand how this place managed 4 stars. As previous reviewer said, the portions were quite small for the price. The vegetables were noticeably more plentiful than the meat. The flavors were not great. I enjoy better Teriyaki chicken in the food court at Lenox than I experienced here. I did not try their sushi, so I cannot comment on it. The only redeeming factor about this place was the cute Korean couple that ran the place. They were very nice, but the food was not that great. Recently been having a hard time reaching them. I can see the open sign from my office but when I call them to order the line just rings. Not sure why they can't answer for a to-go order, which is the bulk of their business. When they don't answer they loose my business and so far that's been a half dozen times. They have really good prices and the service is speedy. They don't have very much on the menu, which made my decision very easy lol. Instead of veggies, they gave me more rice, which was nice. Everytime I go here, I'm always satisfied with the food. It's consistent, cheap, and very good! I normally get the chicken or steak hibachi with carrots. The carrots are amazingly good!
