I like the food here and recommend this establishment, but overall the experience is average. Overall the restaurant is clean and proper sanitary procedures seem to be in place. However, it is dark, dingy, and dated. I don't care for the egg rolls, but plenty of other options are good. I like the green beans, beef with onion, teriyaki chicken/broccoli, spicy chicken, egg drop soup, and the won ton soup. The value for the money is average. Currently lunch is $14 and dinner is around $20 including drink. I don't think the dinner is worth it. A few more items and seafood are available for dinner; however, plenty of options are available for lunch and I prefer paying less. read more

I never like to drop bad review on a business because I know how tough it is to please everyone, you just can't. My food was not fresh it appeared to have been sitting longer than should have been allowed. The meat was tough I couldn't bite into an egg roll. I asked about kids pricing for 3 year old and the owner/manager said $8.99 but when I reviewed the receipt at the end, he charged for something different (open item w/box) and was around $10 something. He never provided the itemized receipt so I had to request for it. They do shady business and when I confronted him he said the system is updating and that is the input for kids. Total liar, and he argued back to go to another buffet then which I said I would never return, I'm just giving you a courtesy notification that I will be reviewing on this matter. He was careless. I am wringing this about a Friday lunch visit at 11:30am on February 25th, 2022. This was my first time here. It is an average Chinese buffet. I went in really wanting to like the place- but it is simply very average at best. Nothing really stood out as great. I truly wish there was some quality buffet restaurant in the Aurora area (but I have yet to find it). Only two of the buffet space for hot food were filled. The third was empty. Is that space for dinner? There are not a lot of options. About 36 warm items, 18 cold items, and 4 or 5 varieties of sushi. I did not see anything setup for the hibachi. The sushi was maybe a step above typical buffet quality sushi - not great. It was edible. Odd that you pay first. Drink is included. $11.99 total for lunch for one adult. The server was very attentive. My drink was refilled 3 times in 45 minutes and my plates were cleared from the table whenever I went up to the buffet. There were maybe about 25 customers in the restaurant at the time I was there. read more

We saw mixed reviews on this place. Either people absolutely loved it or they absolutely hated it. We figured we would give it a fair chance. The reviews are right the decor and seating is very old. The woman's bathroom was filthy. Definitely needed to be deep cleaned. Some of the food was really good and some of it was really bad. The orange chicken was delicious. Crab rangoons were good. The red pork on the skewers was good. The sushi you have to get when they first put it out otherwise it dries out. It was Sabi was very mild. Ginger tasted like vinegar. The mushrooms in the gravy were fabulous. The service was a bit slow. Even though no one was in the place our dishes piled up at the end of the table. I did not like the fact that you were supposed to put your ice cream Scoops in a water pitcher filled with water so where you were holding it in your hand actually goes underwater. That can't be sanitary at all. Next to this was a tray where they had serving utensils so I took out one of the serving utensils to go into the ice cream containers with and the man yelled at me told me that I was supposed to use the ice cream Scoops that were sitting in the container of water. Not going to happen. Before we paid upfront we asked to go see the food because a lot of people said the food was cold so we made sure all of the tables were steaming. Their website is wrong. It says their Buffet is $10 and it's actually 15. The man said that they're having a hard time trying to get somebody to change the price on their website. Drinks come with the mail as well but we just had water and tea. It's probably still worth $15 with the amount of good items available. A lot on our plates we didn't touch and some we even spit out. Love love love this place. They are super consistent with the quality of their food and service. Sushi rice sometimes doesn't taste great to me but everything else is so good from the fish bake, crawdaddies, octopus salad, to ribs and mushrooms. I eat here on average twice a month. read more

Being a 72-year-old man, I have eaten in many Asian restaurants.. I have had many experience's good to average. My experience in this restaurant did not compare to anything I've ever experienced. They added shrimp to their hibachi choices, I guess because it was Sunday. They also provide beef which is so tough that you really can't even chew it enough in order to swallow and digest it. The hot tea seemed to be just plain tea.. not good, not bad. Every other dish that I tasted made me want to vomit! On my table will probably about 8:00 or 9 napkins that I had to spit the food into in order to not get sick. Here's the funniest part of the story. My wife and I both got terribly sick. I personally spent my entire night and morning having a negotiate with the porcelain God. My recommendation for the owners and management of this restaurant is to close it immediately so they don't get sued! My other problem was this one waiter that kept hitting on my wife. Asking all sorts of questions they were really none of his business. This place is so bad, I wouldn't even drive by it again. My recommendation, don't punish yourself by eating there! But ever since it reopened after the pandemic, the price has increased and the food and food choices has not been as good. The shrimp and other foods run out often and doesn't get replaced. We recently received a advertisement in the mail for "Hibachi Grill & Buffet". I recognized the address as the former "Jumbo Buffet". Now, since there was a new Chinese buffet replacing an old Chinese buffet, I really did not expect too much of a change !! And I was correct. This is the normal/average American style Chinese buffet. The food while not disappointing, is almost the same as the former "Jumbo Buffet" that it replaced (I can say at the time we ate, it was all very fresh ). At $ 9.25 per adult at dinner time, it is a bit on the pricey side for this type of restaurant. I will try Hibachi again, but for lunch. So we received an ad about the grand opening of this place... We decided to try it out. Don't waste your time! The service is worst than below par. When attempting to ask the staff any questions they would ignore us and walk away. Our server at least came back to our table a few times to clear our plates and refill our drinks at least. The food was even more disappointing... It looked as though it had been sitting on the tables for hours but it had just been put out fresh. The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because they have pretty good hibachi, and they do not charge extra for it. We went here awhile back for lunch. It was just ok. We started referring to it as the mediocre Chinese buffet, but it was the best in the west aurora area. We went back tonight for dinner and the three of us decided they had really improved. The food was fresh and tasty. A very nice variety of seafood including mussels, salmon, shrimp, squid, and crawfish. There were a number of chicken and American dishes. There was a large dessert table with fresh fruit. And some very good buffet level sushi. Two adults and a child was $30. It felt like a fair price. Glad to see the improvement. I did choose to drop them a star. So I decided to give this place another shot after not coming here for years. Wow was that a bad mistake. I will begin by stating that this buffet used to be a decent place to stop at and in the evenings they had snow crab legs. The last time I stopped in here I was disappointed but still decided to give this another chance. The food tastes like it has been sitting under the hot lamps for days. Items like the egg rolls can chip your tooth when you try to bite down. Other items like the mongolian beef is salty and mushy. Beef is not supposed to have the consistency of toothpaste. It was awful. They also have sushi which along with everything else is horrifyingly awful. Nothing tasted fresh... and I mean NOTHING. The establishment itself has a dark and dingy feel. It's big and empty. When you enter you will be seated and asked if you would like a drink. The staff (of about two people which I assume are family) will come by and ask if you would like a refill on your drink which I guess they do in order to get a tip. I'm sorry I did not tip. This is a buffet, if I can get my own food then I grab a drink. Finally, you get this fine dining experience at about $10 a person. Spectacularly horrible. Words are inadequate to describe the overwhelming filth and underwhelming food. I have not dined here in about a year, but the last time was enough to convince me never to return. The more recent Yelp reviews show that nothing has changed in the past year, so I suspect my review of a while back will accurately reflect a current visit. Where to start? The tables were sticky. That's a good place to start, I guess. So were the floors. The bathroom was so disgusting that I couldn't use it and covered with graffiti. Revolting. The food? The descriptions in other reviews reflect my experience: tasteless or old-tasting or foul-smelling. I ate very little out of concern I would get food poisoning. Food spilled all over the place. Sometimes you're just in the mood for some cheap food and a lot of it. Hibachi Grill and Buffet offers just that. It's in some run-down strip mall in the middle of Aurorexico. I never have high expectations for Chinese buffets, so I wasn't let down. The food was decent. They even serve those Chinese buffet staples like mayonnaise-slathered mussels and warm mayonnaise-slathered imitation crab meat. The only things missing were the cheesy spinach casserole thingy and leathery overcooked prime rib. At $6.99 for lunch, the price was just right. I think I got my money's worth from the 3 plates of clams and crawfish I shoveled into my fat face alone. Next time I'm in town visiting my meth dealer or my Craigslist mistress, I'll probably stop by for more authentic Chinese buffet food like canned chocolate pudding and heat lamp pizza. read more

The freshest sushi you will ever have, the best egg drop and hot and sour soup. They have a wide variety of American, Chinese and Japenese items. Lunch is $7.00 and dinner is $12.00. As the previous reviewer noted, this is the former "Jumbo Buffet". I was a patron of Jumbo Buffet for many years until I had consistently poor dining experiences: bad service and poor food quality to be specific. The place was basically empty at 7:00 PM, yet my server disappeared shortly after seating me. The restaurant has an "Hibachi" area, as the other did. The former restaurant had the Hibachi items out to assemble. This restaurant did not; still not sure where they were hiding the items. I did not ask anyone, as they seemed too busy chatting in a nearby booth to be bothered. The buffet items were essentially the same. I think they simply changed the name and redectorated a bit. One thing they changed were an addition of more sushi items. The troubling part, though, was that none of the sushi was labeled. I agree that $9.25 for dinner was a bit pricey, considering what you get. Sorry, Hibachi Grill & Buffet (Jumbo Buffet), I will not be returning. read more

I at first had mixed feelings coming here as the facility used to be the Jumbo Buffet that I visited only once in 2008 with a friend and it was horrible. However, I took a chance to start coming here when it first opened. I was impressed by the variety (compared to Jumbo) of items to choose from though mainly chicken. I loved the egg drop soup and some of the other selections of chicken with rice. What sold me or got me to like the place was the chicken pieces I believe breast and/or leg portions that was seasoned so well. I have become a regular customer and for me it is a fine place to dine for the buffet at least. They truly want to serve me well and have read and listened to my comments at times and have made improvements where needed (at least for me) :). I cannot find too many decent Buffets of this kind in the area or anywhere and so I keep coming back . I rate it the highest I can, because it is clean and they listen to the customer and please the customer and the food is fresh for the selections I choose. Thank you. read more

I had a "Take Out" plate and when i put my food in the scale he asked me if i ha put shrimp i said 'no' but he had the nerve to open my food to check if it had shrimp. Absolutely atrocious. Hope my fiance and I do not have food poisoning. The selection was horrible. They had more American food than actual Chinese. The teriyaki chicken was non edible. The pot stickers were soggy. The spring rolls were under cooked. The stuffed mushrooms were just cream cheese in them. Over all do not go.
