Second time coming to eat here. Today was Father's Day, and I invited my parents for dinner. It was a while since the last time we went to a Chinese buffet restaurant. I Yelped, and this spot caught my attention. It was a pleasant 10 minute car ride from where we live. Inside, this place is really nice and spacious. We got there before 7 pm. My dad fell in love with the crab legs and seafood(after 3 servings), and so did my mom. I, sadly can't eat crabs, despite the fact that I love crabs...I developed an allergy from it. I, on the other hand, really enjoyed the hot miso soup, dumplings, bok choy among other things. We always ask for the Chinese hot tea. The last time I came here was two years ago and the quality of everything has gone down significantly in that time. This most recent experience was horrible, so much so that I'm writing this review from inside the restaurant. Immediately upon being seated, there is an unpleasant odor. As for the food? Nothing was fresh. Everything had an off texture, either too soggy or too stale. The only redeeming part of this was that the staff were really polite and friendly. Great customer service, if nothing else. However, from a paying customer's POV, this was not only a waste of money but a waste of a dining experience, I could/should have just gone to BWW next door. It's located next to Buffalo Wild Wings. It's a bit dark when you walk in. Needs more lighting and upgrades. This place for sure is always busy. Lots of people are always at this buffet. My uncle was craving some Chinese food, so we decided to try this place. I've been driving past that big red Buffet sign for years, and finally I went. The lunch price is definitely worth it, but it doesn't include a drink. It's very nice inside and the bar is pretty. The service was great, they were so on point. They were ontop of bringing food out, that way nothing was low. It also includes sushi, but I didn't try it. All the food was great, there was nothign I didn't like and I got 4 plates of food. EXCEPT for the dessert. I didn't like ANY of the desserts with an exception of the banana pudding. They could really work on that a little bit more. This restaurant is terrible. Very dirty, especially the bathrooms and common areas. The food buffet trays were messy, unkept and the food was cold. For the price, would not return. In addition, when you get the bill they ask you what tip you want to give them before they even swipe your card, which is a little sketchy. Would not recommend this place. Sign me up for a 20 buck buffet!!! The spread is huge. There is something for everyone. I tried my best to taste the maximum that I could. Did not try much of the seafood. They did try to upsell with a soft drink. Good that we confirmed that it wasn't part of the buffet. It would have been a more pleasant experience if the host was patient and more courteous. Largest selection of food items in any Chinese buffet I'd ever seen. At $17.99 (week day dinner) it was a good value. However... they charged us $1 extra for a pot of tea (& we got a refill, not knowing this, which added $2 to the bill). And the most unpleasant surprise, the pot of "Chinese" tea contained 2 Lipton tea bags! Between the 2 of us we couldn't even sample 1/4 of the available items (even if you don't include things like pizza & garlic bread), but everything was at least as good as other buffets. It's an enormous place & was packed. In spite of this, it was very efficient with dirty dishes removed promptly from our table, & the food being quickly replenished. There was also a sushi table (large variety) & hibachi grill, which we didn't sample. Maybe next visit (when we'll either bring our own tea or stick to water). read more

Overall, I won't return. The food was decent, which is why I didn't give one star. (Except for the crab, which was severely undercooked and disgusting.) But the biggest problem by far was customer service. You walk in and ask the lady in front for a table; she says you pay up front later on. Fair enough. But just ten minutes after we sit down with our plates, the waitress throws down the bill and says with an attitude "whenever you're ready." So not only was the lady in front wrong when she said we pay at the front desk, but the waitstaff gave us a conflicting instruction with attitude for no good reason. There were forks on the table, but they didn't have knives. First restaurant I've ever been to with no knives. And they didn't have extra forks either. Only one per person. We could see that the bar was fully stocked, yet no one was there. Extremely suspect. Staff were constantly weaving in and out of the buffet area where other people were walking, creating a high likelihood that someone would fall over. Yet the final straw came when my friend was writing in the tip for the bill, and the waitress PHYSICALLY HOVERED OVER HIM, watching him write it down. And then she was angry at the minimal tip, so she ripped it off the table. Unacceptable. Food was acceptable, the staff was not. That's the answer, plain and simple. read more

I don't understand the recent bad reviews below. We just had lunch there today and thought the food for the price was a very good value. You can not compare it to Mizumi in Bayside which charges $25 for weekend brunch, of course for that price, you get a higher quality food. Here, it's $11 and it was worth it. They have the typical Chinese dishes, chicken prepared in various ways, the noodles too. I thought every dish was well cooked, hot dishes were hot, vegetables were not over cooked. Sushi is limited but it's offered. Dessert was okay but frozen yogurt was refreshing and good. I used to frequent DJ buffet before but they are now closed, this place I'll admit does not hv as much seafood dishes as DJ did but DJ also charged more. Staff was very friendly and attentive. You are given plastic gloves to wear when getting your food and must wear masks. Place is huge. Had dinner tonight with my husband. Food here is great. The service is horrible. They never asked us for refills. While we were eating they placed the check on the table. First time in my life there was a two hour time limit, customers don't cater to the business the business caters to the customer. They're was a couple next to us where the AC leaked on one of the patrons and her food. Instead of apologizing, they asked the couple to move there seat and when the couple refused, they dropped the cheek on the table. This is NOT how you treat paying customers who make your business run. Perhaps, the service needs to catch up with the food otherwise they won't make it. Came for lunch all you can eat with a friend visiting the area. There was a good variety of food hot and ready to go (typical Asian cuisine like chicken/broccoli, Panko breaded seafood, plus other foods like seared salmon, scallops, crab, mixed rice noodles, lo mein choices, 2-3 rice options, etc). Sitting down eating my food and a six year old kid throws up right next to me. Mom and dad start yelling and sit him in my booth right across from me while the staff proceeds to clean up. Next the child gets up, grabs a plate and heads to the buffet. His head is the exact height as the food being served. Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet is a mini chain and we found one right in North Babylon. We actually tried the one in Orange, Connecticut on a recent trip and was pretty satisfied with the selection there. There's only one location on Long Island. The buffet restaurant dining area is large, but not as large as the Orange Connecticut location. There are also fewer buffet tables. I believe there were about 6 tables with various Chinese, seafood, fried foods and salads. There's also a dessert area and a hibachi/sushi area. Generally, we found the seating to be comfortable and saw the restaurant accommodate parties of all sizes. We went on a Sunday afternoon and although the parking lot is big, it is shared with other businesses. When we visited at around 1 p.m., it seemed particularly crowded. We were seated quickly off we went to the buffet. The highlights of this buffet is the raw clams and shrimp cocktail. The clams were plump and the shrimp cocktail were plentiful. I felt their sushi offerings were a bit limited. The sushi fish was sliced thinly and most of the sushi rolls contained cooked items like surimi and eel. I didn't try the hibachi, but I could say that I saw many varieties of meats, seafoods and veggies that you can choose for the cooks to stir fry for you on their hibachi. As for the buffet, I liked the chicken wings and surprisingly, the pork ribs. They were sweet and juicy. The chicken wings were plump and juicy. There was also a steamed whole fish, which was pretty good. Hibachi Grill also offered stir-fried manila clams, but I felt it was a tad salty. The fried rice also tasted a bit dry. We finished our meal off with dessert. I chose the soft serve and found it to be crystal-like and icy. The other choices such as cake and pudding were limited. The price per person is about $15. I felt that we got a better deal with the Hibachi Grill in Orange, which is about half the price and with better food. For $15, I guess this buffet is okay if you happen to like specific items, but it would have been nice if more of the dishes were of higher quality. read more

Very basic buffet here, was so close to giving them 4 stars, but ended up with 3 and here's why: Alright we walk in and it's PACKED. Like this place is buzzing heavily. We were seated quickly right before a huge wave of people came in. A solid 40 people were standing in the lobby waiting for a table. All were seated within 15 to 20 minutes. Everything here is decent, the have a wide variety of food, sushi and a hibachi grille station. But what I like about this hibachi station is you get all the food you want and just give it to the chef plain and simple. Until the chef finishes everyone's orders at the same time and you're left not knowing which one is yours. The hibachi definitely is not as good as a sit down Japanese restaurant's quality but it will do! The sushi is freshly prepared in the open kitchen, they sushi chefs are able to keef up with the crowd. Only thing missing is I wish they have extra spicy mayo. Sushi was also okay! Pretty decent and not bad at all! As for the rest of the hot food it was all very good but some of it was bland Bland BLAND. The "fried rice" and "mei fun" noodles needed to be eaten with something else, if you eat it alone you're litterally filling yourself with tasteless carbs. I was not very happy about that. Please keep in mind I'm saying this is all bland and blah but it is a $15-$16 buffet at dinner. WELL worth it especially when the snow crab legs keep running out and they somehow keep up with the crowd and always have fresh ones coming out the kitchen. I never had a problem with waiting for food here which is good. One thing I want to point out. The staff. Much respect for them today as they really do their job quickly and efficiently. The garbage plates rarely stacked up, they were handing out drinks quickly, cleaning tables quickly, quick quick quick. Remember when I said there was about 40 people in the lobby of a jam packed restaurant? Yeah they seated them ALL in less than 20 minutes. People go in and out and the staff clean quickly. I see each waiter holding about 7 plates full of garbage at a time and they snipe your table. Try hiding your plate and they'll get it somehow. Also I saw a lady holding 7 glasses of soda without spilling. Not one staff mishap or mistake my entire time here. They don't rush you out and they're here to help. Huge props to the staff here even in the kitchen, sushi chefs were going hard and hibachi chef banging out orders. The actual restaurant is nice!!!! Pretty decor when you walk in, a nice fountain, it's relatively clean considering the amount of people here and it's full of TV's. Tons of TV's in the main dining room and one of the two (I didn't see what the other dining room had) had a projector that just made one big screen for the whole room to watch. That was really cool. By the way this place seats A LOT of people. Huge main dining area with 2 smaller ones aside that are still relatively big. Alright now for the deal breaker that killed the 4 stars and turned it to 3............. I was VERY EXCITED for a nice soft serve Chocolate Ice Cream on a cone (oh yeah for desserts they had exactly what you'd expect) but when I started getting it out of the machine I figured out it was FROZEN YOGURT. Oh my GOD I was devastated. Chocolate frozen yogurt is gross man, well at least cheap Chocolate frozen yogurt is gross. Ah well, to me it was worth removing a star because I was that disappointed. But there you go! Despite having a low amount of reviews, this place gets JAM FREAKING PACKED at dinner on a weekend. Give this place a try, bad reviews won't kill this place because buisness here is litterally booming. Wow that was so corny but I'm not deleting that, but please don't forget to leave a tip!!!!! CLARIFICATION: Reasoning behind the 3 Stars is not generally just because of the fact they offer Chocolate frozen yogurt instead of Chocolate ice cream. My review being up there at 4 Stars was generous as there's PLENTY of buffets that offer the same experience. Having bland Mei Fun and Fried Rice both Hibachi and Chinese is unacceptable. There are PLENTY other buffets with the same issue. A $7 buffet in my town had better a better quality Fried Rice and Mei Fun. Need I say more? But because I loved the service the review was at 4 stars. But having an alternative to Chocolate ice cream is a deal breaker for me. MOST people prefer Chocolate ice cream over frozen yogurt. If you have to choose between the two, there's not many that would say frozen yougurt unless they're trying to be healthier. But if you were trying to be healthier then why are you eating at a buffet? It doesn't matter at this point just have the Chocolate ice cream. I cannot give 4 Stars because of this. Initially, we ordered 1 regular coke and 1 diet coke. Upon arriving at the table, the drinks were left with straws, nothing marking each drink, and we had to reorder. There was a pleasing variety of food, surely everyone could find something to eat. Salad bar as well as mixed salads had many choices. Typical, basic Chinese buffet items, in addition to American offerings. I sampled many things; some were piping hot, others were warm, others cold. My personal favorites were the seafood options. I enjoyed the crayfish, crabs, and baby clams. I had one of the large prawns, which was excellent, I was just done cleaning my food to eat. The LoMein, pepper steak, and dumplings were good as well. They had highly seasoned crawfish out of this world and so were the small clams in the black bean sauce After you finish your main meal go to the desert County and they have a choice of many kinds of fruits cakes and cookies all of them looked delicious I tried the hot apple strudel with soft ice cream it was out of this world. AYCE Chinese buffet. Pretty much what you would expect from a typical buffet. They have sushi, which I personally would not eat from a place like this. No offense to them, but if it's all you can eat, and sushi is raw, not sure what the quality is and I would avoid. But that's just me. They do have hibachi which is cool, you can select your veggies and sauce and tip the guy a few bucks and he'll cook it up for you which is a nice touch. I really don't eat buffets often, but my friend likes this place and I joined her for lunch recently. They have decent prices, $10 a piece for lunch. And if you get the Pennysaver there is always $1 off coupons in there. Beverages and tips extra.
