Service was excellent. Our booth was clean adding to an overall nice ambiance. I wish the food was better. Flavors were muted, some entrees were not hot and after about one and half hours my stomach was upset. I don't know if was because of something I ate. First things first. Rice. Rice should be one of the most refilled/kept up on items at a buffet of this sort. It was old, nasty and mostly empty our whole visit. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. There's a reason why when you make reservations at a Chinese buffet, you should always count how many people are part of your party. Why? It's because there's a chance that they will overcount and overcharge you. Guess what Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet did? They overcounted our party of 30 by six people. Their staff claimed that they came over to our area and counted 36 people multiple times. I told them that I waited by the front door until each guest arrived, counted each person as they came in, didn't sit down until the last person arrived, and then recounted at the table. They didn't believe me. My cousins and I explained to them that not all of the seats were filled at each table and people were moving from table to table to talk to each other but they refused to believe us. They claimed to have experience in counting large parties and that they recognize who they've counted before. Ummm hello? Wrong. They don't know each person in our party, but we do. Unfortunately they didn't budge and still charged us for 36 people. The worst part is we were coming from a funeral so they made our day even worst. I'm a fair reviewer so let me tell you about their food and drinks: 1. I've never seen a buffet that offered one tray of beef and broccoli and a second tray of chicken and broccoli. This is essentially the same. 2. A row of trays were empty (we dined during dinner on a Sunday) 3. No spoons by the soup station, they directed me to grab a plastic spoon 4. We waited 10 minutes for a server to come by to take our drink order for a table of six and waited another 10 minutes for our drinks 5. Noticed some dirt on the stir fry mushroom dish, pretty sure it wasn't thoroughly cleaned Now from a scale from 1-10 (10 = amazing) Green beans - 5 (not very flavorful) Chicken & broccoli - 5 Black pepper chicken - 3 (mainly tasted breading) Crab Rangoon - 7 (good amount of cream cheese and nice crisp) Lo mein - 3 Hot & sour soup - 5 Fried rice - 3 Fried dough - 6 Mozzarella sticks - 2 Mint chocolate chip ice cream - 7 Tip for future large parties: Count the number of guests with the server to ensure they are accurately counting the guests correctly I wouldn't recommend coming here due to their poor service and charge of $16.99 for meh food, little options and little seafood (shrimp and crawfish) read more

Not only was she extremely rude and directly asked for a tip, but she also made an inappropriate comment, saying "poor people." That's completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Hey guys,, reality check,,, this is a Chinese Buffet. It's not a fancy sit down restaurant. There is no nicely dressed waiter with a scraper in his/her apron. Nor are they going to flambé things table side. You come in, you let them know what you want to drink and smash away. Things i liked in the buffet, the crawfish was seasoned pretty well. General Tso's chicken was delish and so is their sweet and sour chicken. The pepper steak was yummy and so are their stuffed mushrooms. All my go to dishes are pretty good here. My husband thought they were pretty good as well. The service was also pretty good, our plates were cleared by the time we came back for a 2nd or 3rd round. Wow. I took my parents and wife here to eat Mother's Day. I was expect the worst because of the location. How surprised I was. None of the food was cold. Everything was hot. Fried rice was soft too. My fiance and I "attempted" to have an early dinner there on Sunday...around 3pm. We were 3rd in line (about 20 people behind us). There was one...very slow cashier. The first person in line was helped. The next person right in front of us told the cashier they had a reservation, and then waived up another person who was standing next to the line. Easter Sunday, had reservations for 20 people. There were five groups who paid for their party. One group paid in cash, but was not given a receipt. When asked, the cashier said it was not needed. Since we had to wait for our table, (even with reservations) the cashier came over to us in a frenzy and said we did not pay for our complete group. Trying to explain that one had paid in cash was useless. They refused to seat us and said they had to review cctv footage. Another employee came over and said to seat us, since there were 20 of us just standing around and holding up the line. After being seated, it took our waitress 15 minutes to bring our silverware while our food was sitting in front of us getting cold. They were very short staffed for a holiday. Finally, as we were getting ready to leave, the cashier called us over so she could check the cctv footage...and there it was, her taking the cash and not giving a receipt. She looked astonished and said, "ok, ok". There was no apology given, nor even an acknowledgment for her mistake. The whole experience was a nightmare. We will not be going back.​ read more

They make most things work even though they seem really under staffed. I really appreciate that they keep there Mongolian grill open it really makes a difference in deciding where to go to eat. They have shrimp on it during dinner hours. I do wish they had shrimp more often during lunch hours. I would give it 5 stars if they did. read more

I won't be back. Service upfront was not good. Bill for 2 was $40. The food is not good. The mussels had no seasoning -tasted like lake water. Even the utensils felt bad and cheap. Signs at the table, asking you not to waste food. Signs trying to convince you the place is clean is not a good sign. I was completely done when I saw old melted, but frozen, stale ice cream. I usually don't leave reviews but this had to be said. Today on August 3rd, 2024. Our server decided to sit behind us and touch her naked feet. She sat down, touched each individual toe, and proceeded to smell her hand. She then got up to serve a new table drinks, pick up our plates and touch our forks without washing her hands. This should not be seen at a restaurant specially from a server. If this is what's being done in public, I don't want to know what's going on behind closed doors. read more

This is by far the worst "buffet" you could ever go to, drove all the way from Detroit to Westland for complete bs food and service!!! The Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet is a great restaurant!  There is plenty of parking outside.  The staff is engaged and interested.  The food is kept hot and fresh on the buffet.  They have an amazing variety of food - Chinese, Japanese and American.  Traditional and unique. They have a great selection of Sushi.  It is kept fresh and is masterfully made.  The grill they have their offers Hibachi items and some Mongolian dishes - it is limited primarily by the great ingredients they have on hand and your imagination. I like eating here because the environment is festive and welcoming.  The wait staff are always eager to assist me and I appreciate that.  The tables and dining area are kept neat and clean.  I enjoy the décor. read more

Omg! Like where do I start. Soo as soon as I seen the car parts in the restaurant I should've left like major red flag the food: the garlic bread wasn't done, like howw, idk. It tasted like it has been in the freezer. the lo mein noodles were okay, the crab Rangoons were smushed and soggy , the corn on the cob was a major disappointment like that's unfuckupable but sure enough it was nasty. The treasure shrimp was a piece of shrimp with soggy mystery meat wrapped around it the smell was very interesting I really couldn't bring myself to eat it, it was not appeasing to the eye .The staff is very nice though, but I won't be returning. I was there for less than 30 mins and I left and went to Aroma right in the same plaza it was definitely much much better it made my day. read more

It seems that this area of Michigan doesn't have any good Chinese buffets. I am from Chicago where we have a lot. I really did my research on this and mixing Yelp and Google reviews. This place had 4 or more stars on Google, but I understand that the Yelp community is a little bit more rigorous. So going in, it seemed like your typical buffet. We paid a little over $100 for 7 adults and 1 kid. The place is huge. Plenty of seats, so good for groups. Now the part that really bothered me was that they only had once section of actual Chinese food. Maybe a 4 or 5 dishes, of which you had the typical General Tsao, chicken and broccoli, beef and broccoli, and one more chicken teriyaki dish. Really, not a lot of options. The rest of the food was pretty much American. As for cleanliness, the place was pretty clean. But unfortunately, many of the plates weren't clean and had something on it.
