i normally would not eat anything Panda Express or basically fake chinese food. i'm from new york so i know what's chinese and as an asian myself i'm quite aware what's good. Hibachi san has some of the best teriyaki chicken and the low mein which they use tangy and bouncy udon noodles are some of the best. i always get their low mein. I used to work at a Panda Express, and this and Panda are a part of the same restaurant group.

Okay, wrap your brain around the idea that sometimes, SOMEtimes, you can get solid quality food in malls. Can't do it? Hop on in the car then and pay Hibachi San a visit. Located in the food court of Sugarloaf Mills, I've been here a few times before, and feel comfortable writing a review because every dish I ordered has been tasty and what I was looking for. Located right next to Panda express (and looking very similar to panda), one of their most popular dishes is the 2 entree deal, pretty standard selection of rice (fried, steamed), Lo Mein, or veggies, and two meats of your choice. I got fried rice, along with the Honey spicy chicken, and Teriyaki lime chicken ($6.99). The honey spicy chicken, i'll be honest, wasn't spicy at all, as in did you forget my spicy? But the honey flavor wasn't super sweet, and the chicken was tender and moist. The Teriyaki lime chicken was pretty similar, i.e. did you forget the lime in my teriyaki lime? But the teriyaki flavor, and chicken overall were solid. The fried rice wasn't the star of the dish, and I think they know that, but still, I enjoyed it. Just like panda, if you don't know what you like, they do offer "try it before you buy it" samples, which helps out when you're on the fence, but unlike other asian eateries in malls, they don't yell at you and push free samples off on you, so no pressure. Look, it's 7 bucks, it's not coating your tongue in grease, and the chicken, both in serving size and quality, are solid, and worth the price of admission. Added bonus: the food wasn't even close to mall food greasy, or maxed out on sugar or salt. Definitely a fan and will certainly be back.

Great mall food! Only complaint would be that they don't let you sample any of the food.

Decor is nice looking and each table is a booth style with high wall partition. We ordered the Ozuri You Course + Takoyaki + Japanese Pudding for dessert. Lots of food for sure. Our favorite is their fish items (sushi, sashimi, grilled cod) AND Pudding! We've never tasted a cod as soft and flaky as the one served here. The pudding is as close to as you can get to an authentic pudding in Japan.

Outstanding ramen, incredible fresh noodles, and excellent service from Aaliyah…read more Okiboru Ramen Takumen in Duluth was absolutely worth the visit, and honestly, I'm just mad at myself for not trying it sooner. I started with the Okiboru buns (chicken and pork) the crispy gyoza, and the garlic nori fries. All three were a great start to the meal. The buns were soft and fluffy, and the pork bun worked really well with the garlic aioli, soy glaze, and pickled cucumber. The chicken one was good too but the pork one beats it on flavor. The gyoza had a nice crisp to them and came with a shoyu dipping sauce that tied everything together well. The garlic nori fries were also really good, crispy and well seasoned, and a fun side to snack on between everything else along with the garlic sauce to dip your fries in. For my main dish, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which comes with rich pork broth, pork chashu, half a soft boiled egg, scallions, and thin Hakata noodles. I also added the thick noodle refill on the side, and I'm glad I did because both noodles were excellent in different ways. The biggest standout here was the noodle quality. You can tell immediately that these are fresh noodles because the texture is just on another level. The thin noodles were fantastic and worked perfectly with the tonkotsu broth, but the thick noodles were incredible too. It's one of those meals where after the first bite you immediately understand why people talk about fresh noodles the way they do. The broth itself was rich, flavorful, and comforting without feeling overly heavy, and the pork in the ramen was very good too. Service was also a big part of why this visit stood out. Aaliyah was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she did a great job making the whole experience feel comfortable from the start. Good food is one thing, but good service is a huge part of what makes people want to come back, and she absolutely deserves a shoutout. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I was dining solo, so I sat at a smaller table, but they also have booths and larger middle tables that look like they'd work well for bigger groups. Food came out pretty quickly, and parking was easy since it's in a shopping center. And of course, everything got washed down with a Coke Zero. Not fountain, just canned, but it still hit the spot. This was an excellent meal from start to finish. Great appetizers, outstanding ramen, truly impressive noodles, and service that made the whole visit even better. I'll definitely be back.

For my entree, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. Unfortunately, it was a bit lackluster. I'm not sure I'd return specifically for the ramen. My boyfriend ordered the truffle shoyu ramen and also found it to be underwhelming. The ambiance has also changed since my last visit. They've replaced the middle bar area with more tables and painted over the previously drawn-on walls. The space feels noticeably darker now and lacks some of the character it once had. That said, the service was great. Our server, JJ, was attentive, friendly and took good care of us.

The gyoza was delicate and flavorful, and it held together nicely. The soup was quite savory. At first I thought there might not have been enough sliced pork in there but by the time I reached the end of my meal I was very satisfied with the portion. I also like how the carryout bag included everything I needed: sauce for the gyoza, salad dressing, a napkin and flatware. I went out of my way to come here and I'm happy I did.

I wouldn't say you need a reservation on a normal occasion, and the people here are pretty nice. We specifically only came for their Demon Slayer collab spoons, and thankfully, they had some! We didn't realize until we were there that you MUST order the Tokyo Yatai Classic to receive a blind spoon though. We weren't interested in the promo ramen, but we ordered it anyway. And as expected, it was alright. We ate it, but it wasn't anything to write home about. It's only getting a Yelp review bc I liked their apps. The appetizers I've had were much better than the ramen, even outside of this one instance with their promotional ramen. If I wanted ramen, it wouldn't be here, but for a quick bite or many small plates... maybe. The eggplant and brussels sprouts were probably my favorite of what I had, and it's all due to the miso soy marinade. It masked some bitterness with sweetness. If I were to come again, it'll have to be during happy hour. That's the only time I feel it's worth coming for.

Yumee Katsu is a modern-style katsu spot, and overall, the food is tasty even though I've definitely enjoyed some dishes more than others. My go-to order is the Assorted Katsu meal, and it's a winner for variety, flavor, and portion size. You get a couple of pieces of shrimp tempura, fish katsu, and pork & cheese katsu, plus the option to add a small side of udon or soba noodles. The fish katsu is light and flavorful, and the pork with cheese is a full-on cheese pull party. I also really enjoy their salad dressing and the dipping sauces that come with the donkatsu and fish katsu- they add a lot to the meal. The ambiance has a nice, modern vibe, and the service has always been friendly and welcoming. A small but thoughtful touch: they offer Asian candies for guests, which is a fun little refresher after your meal.
