I've been ordering from Hiccups for a while, so I know their process. I placed an order today (paid over the phone since it was over $25) and picked it up without checking because it was cold and raining. We ordered 2 garlic noodles (no protein) and 1 tofu pad Thai since we're not eating meat. When I got home, one of the garlic noodles had chicken in it--so we couldn't even have our family dinner as planned. I called expecting a simple fix, but the customer service made things worse. The manager, Soy, never got on the phone, but I could clearly hear her in the background with an irritated, dismissive tone. That alone turned a mistake into a bad experience. Mistakes happen--but attitude matters. Being inconvenienced is one thing, being treated like you're the problem is unacceptable. If this is the new management, it's disappointing. Losing long-time customers over something like this is avoidable. 1 star. Won't be returning. read more

I ordered the meal for pickup and was extremely late picking it up due to me studying for final exams and just forgetting that I had ordered already. Been coming here ever since they opened and there was some initial hype about this place. Originally I never bought anything to eat and only bought the boba which was pretty good tbh, and back then they had a facebook check in for a buy one get one (the good old days) But I finally went to get food with a couple of friends for the lunch special on Friday and it was pretty empty. Since I don't eat meat aside from seafood, I asked if I can pay extra to get a shrimp pad Thai lunch special instead of just the veggie lunch special and they said no. I tried reasoning and saying I could just get a side of shrimp or an a la carte side of shrimp and pay more, but they said no. Fair enough I guess, not the most absurd thing I've heard, but the veggie pad Thai was pretty good. Not the best pad Thai I've ever had in my life, but a solid 7/10 that I definitely crave time to time. The thai tea is also great! I just wish it was a little more affordable and then I would come here all the time. read more

1st time eating here with my wife 10/21/2023 Saturday. We ordered 1 BBQ pork with rice, 1 popcorn chicken with fries, 1 horchata milk tea, and 1 taro milk tea. Service was great but the food was nothing special I was extremely disappointed with the barbecue pork there was no bbq sauce in it. I won't be coming back to eat here price was more than i excepted! Came around 7:45 and the place was completely empty. This place used to be so popular and since I'm not usually in the area I decided to stop by and get boba. Workers were nice but we waited almost 10 min for all our drinks which was understandable because we ordered a lot, but we waited 30 minutes for our order or popcorn chicken and fries. Within the 30 minutes the workers didn't reassure us it was coming or didn't update us and it made me super upset and underwhelmed as someone who used to like this place and for it to take that long when it was only us in the establishment was crazy. This place has a "C" Restaurant letter grade. They have a small self serve water dispenser for customers. I was pouring myself a cup and noticed it was just about empty. After drinking one sip of the water I looked into my cup and noticed small black sand looking dirt floating in the water I just poured. I've been here a couple of times and every single time, I knocked out so hard. I walked a mile here from the dealership, waiting for my car to get maintenance just for something to do and when I got here, I realized the menu was really small for boba drinks. They don't have the special drinks I usually get like wintermelon / brown sugar. So I just got the basic jasmine milk tea which I never get and $8 with boba and pudding?! That's insane, but my honest reaction was "damn that's good" after the first sip. Not too sure how long this promo will last but they have a promotion when you buy $25 worth of food, you get a large drink ( options vary but I believe it's Thai Tea, Milk tea or some other tea ) as of 01/11/2021 BUT PROMOTION COULD END AT ANY TIME (: Hiccups was a fan favorite of my family and I when it first opened. Our recommendations are the popcorn chicken and fries! Their drinks are good especially the Pink Flamingo. The lychee bites within the drink remind me of a refresher but better! Our new family favorite would have to be the tofu bites. The sauce definitely compliment it and give it a kick! Their staff is really kind and move quickly. Love this place for the garlic noodles but it has been multiple times when I have arrived near the end of the day and the place is already closed ): kitchen is not open the whole day and wait is very long because they have 1-2 waiters only. I ordered beef and kimchi fried rice and the food came super salty and balls of salt on both meals. I got my food at 10:50pm. There are better spots for boba too.
