Came around 7:45 and the place was completely empty. This place used to be so popular and since I'm not usually in the area I decided to stop by and get boba. Workers were nice but we waited almost 10 min for all our drinks which was understandable because we ordered a lot, but we waited 30 minutes for our order or popcorn chicken and fries. Within the 30 minutes the workers didn't reassure us it was coming or didn't update us and it made me super upset and underwhelmed as someone who used to like this place and for it to take that long when it was only us in the establishment was crazy. 1st time eating here with my wife 10/21/2023 Saturday. We ordered 1 BBQ pork with rice, 1 popcorn chicken with fries, 1 horchata milk tea, and 1 taro milk tea. Service was great but the food was nothing special I was extremely disappointed with the barbecue pork there was no bbq sauce in it. I won't be coming back to eat here price was more than i excepted! This place has a "C" Restaurant letter grade. They have a small self serve water dispenser for customers. I was pouring myself a cup and noticed it was just about empty. I got the Taro Smoothie with boba . . . & if I'm being honest , I didn't really care for it . . . Wasn't impressed. . Definitely won't order again. The service was okay . . . I walked a mile here from the dealership, waiting for my car to get maintenance just for something to do and when I got here, I realized the menu was really small for boba drinks. They don't have the special drinks I usually get like wintermelon / brown sugar. So I just got the basic jasmine milk tea which I never get and $8 with boba and pudding?! That's insane, but my honest reaction was "damn that's good" after the first sip. The tea is good quality and they give a lot of pudding and the boba is actually soft (and smaller than usual, which is kinda cute :)) the interior is really cute and lots of tables and by a street. Not impressed with this place; came to this location twice and both times they got the order wrong. Get ready for a big nap after you eat here. I've been here a couple of times and every single time, I knocked out so hard. Cajun fries are good but ask for less/ light on the seasoning spices ... they literally drown it in the spices to the point where it ruins the fries. Less is def more! Love this place for the garlic noodles but it has been multiple times when I have arrived near the end of the day and the place is already closed ): kitchen is not open the whole day and wait is very long because they have 1-2 waiters only. Our recommendations are the popcorn chicken and fries! Their drinks are good especially the Pink Flamingo. The lychee bites within the drink remind me of a refresher but better! Our new family favorite would have to be the tofu bites. The sauce definitely compliment it and give it a kick! Their staff is really kind and move quickly. Come to find out when I placed my order that there was a fundraiser for a local school that night. I'm all for fundraisers and it's nice to see a business busy. Kids all over while parents are chatting amongst themselves isn't ideal in a small restaurant. Unfortunately, the beverage I ordered was not good. :( It was so crazy inside, I didn't want to go back for them to remake it. It looked nice, but it was so overly sweet with much to much matcha leaving a bitter aftertaste. I ordered 2 bowls of filet mignon pho, 1 bowl of chicken pho, Cajun fries, 2 Thai milk tea and 1 Thai tea smoothies through DoorDash so this review is strictly for the foods and prices. Foods were still hot on arrival. Packages were ok, no spill. Thai milk tea tasted better than the smoothies. The smoothies drink was a lil too sweet. The beef pho and chicken pho were better than I expected. They were great. Hiccups wasn't the first choice of pho restaurant if we wanted authentic and delicious but this togo order kinda changed our minds. I think we will go back to Hiccups if we don't want to drive 30+ miles to OC for a bowl of pho. In the South Bay area, Hiccups seems to be one of the better choices for pho around here. I asked if they had regular iced tea--they didn't--so I picked the strawberry twister on a whim instead. It took quite a while for the food to be served, and the first dish the waiter brought to our table was pad Thai with shrimp. He came back a few minutes later with the right dishes. The fried rice was more salty than I prefer, but still edible and my kids didn't complain. The pad Thai was good, although I wish it had more spring onions and bean sprouts to add texture.
