Don't come here with high expectations for customer service.... or really anything. I came here strictly for their chamoy mango but honestly the wait time is absolutely ridiculous that it's not even worth it. I've been here about 5 times, and every single time I come here I have to wait over 20+ minutes just for one drink. If Zero Express in Long Beach wasn't so far, I would have never stepped foot in this place again. This place is just full of negative vibes. The workers are rude and cranky. And the people waiting over 20 minutes for their orders are understandably, just as cranky. Management needs to do better on hiring workers. I mean look at the pictures I've posted. It was a good overall experience, but I believe they took too long. For example my sister and I had gone to get boba, when we got there, there was only 1 person in front of us ordering a drink. We ordered and had to wait 30-40 minutes for 2 drinks. But there were customers who made phone orders and they did it in 5 minutes but for us who made the order at the place, it was TOO LONG. However, when placing a phone order for pick up today, the female associate seemed like she did not want to take my order and informed that if the order was going to be under $25, I can just order when I get there. I proceeded to order over the phone because I had a few items. When she confirmed my order, she then asked for my card information. This was surprising as I have always been able to pay when I pick up my order, but I continued to expedite the process. I wouldn't have minded so much to provide the information but this girl kept repeating the information out load. Before continuing with more information, I had asked her not to repeat things out loud for security purposes. She apologized but continued to repeat things. The worker up at the front, Sofie, I think her name is super helpful with accommodations because Im not a tea or coffee person but she suggested me an awesome fruity booty slush which was really good. Never again.. Got here and there was just one lady in front of me waiting to order. She only ordered one drink. I went ahead and placed my order. 1 large horchata mocha smoothie with EXTRA BOBA, 1 large milk tea with light boba and extra ice, and 1 regular milk tea with light boba and extra ice. As we waited for our drinks the line got longer and longer until it eventually went out the door. 20 minutes go by and still no drinks. Throughout the whole time I waited I saw that there was 4 people back there 'making drinks' (not including the cashier). Finally they call my name and as I pick up the drinks I see that the large horchata mocha does NOT have extra boba (I was charged for extra). Both of the milk teas did NOT have extra ice. I was bummed but I had waited so long for my drinks I didn't feel like waiting any longer for them to fix it. I just simply won't be coming back here anytime soon. I got a coconut thai tea with boba with half sugar but it was still very sweet. However, I have to say that the staff turned it around and added some black tea to make it enjoyable for me! Great job. For future reference: get quarter sugar if you want to watch your sugar intake. Update: they don't even do less than half sugar which still tastes like diabetes. I just want to enjoy a good tea without the guilt but I guess that's not possible. read more

I have been eating at hiccups for years now. I have always been satisfied dining in, its when ordering take out that I decided I'm no longer biting my tongue. The past two times I have ordered dinner for a family of 6, spending over $100 which included two drinks WITH boba both times I have received a regular straw, when it happened the second time I called. To which they just said "sorry", I was frustrated that they did not offer any type of credit or refund. Fast forward to last night, again I a ordered over $100 of food and two boba drinks, this time on the notes I made sure to include a note that asked for them to please remember two boba straws as the past two times they were forgotten. I also ordered vegetable pad Thai only to realize there were no veggies and it was just chicken, I don't eat chicken. My order gets here, I cautiously search the bags while I tip the driver and nope once again No boba straws, I express my frustration to the driver and he said the straws were already placed there. Even if it was his responsibility, how would he know I ordered a specialty drink that requires a different straw. I call Hiccups, clearly upset that this continues to happen. I was told " it's up to the driver to get the straws and for them to read all the instructions". So I asked to speak with the manger, which apparently I was already speaking to. I asked what they were going to do, she just said I could come in and get straws. Um no. I asked if I could get a drink credit for next time, she responded with no unfortunately not. Are you kidding? I spent over $100 and I can't get a $7 drink credit to make a long time customer happy?
