First time and last time. I drove all the way from Tampa to try this restaurant and the experience was very bad. Our server Henrique was very nice, but all the rest was very unfriendly. We ordered 3 all you can eat and 1 a la cart cause I don't do any fish but they told me they are out of some of the itens, so I changed to the all you can eat but they still charged me for the plates that they didn't have it. At the end when we ask for the check they wrote the Tip suggestion on the back of the receipt starting with 18% - 25%. We are Brazilians and we do work in a Restaurant business so we know how to take care of guest but they don't . I'll never recommend this:( read more

This location for sushi is super hidden and pretty unique. It uses a Brazilian style of sushi street food, which isn't anything like the traditional Japanese style. You can order one bite at a time and pay for each a la carte or eat buffet style and pay $28 for all you can eat! At first, I was so skeptical of all you can eat sushi locations. However, this place is clean and fresh. The dishes use farm raised fish, but still fresh. The flavors are unique for each section. The hot rolls tasted the same for the most part in our opinion. The first few raw rolls also taste the same until you reach the different fruit flavors. That's when the uniqueness steps in. We had the salmon skin tamaki, which sounds so weird. It's not so bad! I wish the salmon skin was more crispy because I kept finding the soggy, mushy pieces. I think my friends ate all the crispy pieces though. Would I go again? I am the kind of person that does NOT like cream cheese on my sushi so it was hard to figure out what to get, but I love that you can order everything by the piece so you can try a bit of everything. The best items of the night were the calamari, miso soup, tuna and salmon nigiri, and the tuna and spicy mayo roll. This is beyond a doubt, the worst sushi you can buy in central Florida... to give some context, the bathroom has to be unlocked by the staff to use. That's the kind of place this is. This is the gas station of sushi joints... I've been to hidden sushi twice bc a friend really likes it and it's next to gods and monsters. It's always busy for god know what reason. It takes forever to get served. I can't understand a word they're saying. The staff seem to have a difficult time explaining the menu, which is confusing and unnecessarily complex. You have to write your name on the menu so the waiter can keep track. Now the sushi. So this is the kinda place where you can order a single piece, not a whole roll. Which means they make several rolls worth in advanced, which means it's sitting there for who knows how long. On the second visit I attempted to order a single type of roll w 8 pieces. The idea was that if it's a full size roll, they'll make it fresh. It was extremely cold. As in it was obviously just out of the fridge. This leads me to believe they make the entire nights sushi in advanced, and then thaw it and serve it piece by piece throughout the night. Gas station sushi folks. I was going to give it two stars bc I didn't get food poisoning, which I was convinced I would.. But I can't give them that extra star. It would be one thing if it was like 50 cents a roll, but my 8 pieces salmon and avocado roll was $10. You can't literally get better, cheaper sushi anywhere else. When they finally did (because I went to get someone in the front), they started bringing our orders.. but only half of them. It seemed that they were sending our stuff to another table next to us, and even the plate of food that comes with 3 things (rice, meat and French fries) was missing the fries. The cups they brought us, the ice was halfway melted already. Even after all of this, they only discounted $7 dollars of the plate that was missing the fries, leaving the rest of the problems unaddressed. We paid more than a hundred dollars for all of this. A few pieces of sushi and rice with meat. It was ridiculous. I will not be going back and DEFINITELY will be warning all of our friends that showed interest in going there. read more

Be aware! $1 per uneaten piece. I went for my birthday and they were extremely accommodating. Their menu says "AYCE" but doesn't specify extra cost for remaining pieces. We were surprised we couldn't bring the food to-go since the menu just had the food options and not additional costs. We had to eat everything since our server was going to charge us an additional $26.95 if we didn't finish our food. I wish they had more options such as more appetizers and customized sushi. They also didn't have their beer/wine/liquor license so we settled for water and soda. Overall, good experience but wish things were more clear and explained. Also, wish they had avocado in their rolls and less cream cheese. One last thing, no server should grab the check before the guests leave. Amazing Brazilian-Japanese style sushi! Again, this is NOT TRADITIONAL sushi. Please go with an open mind and give this place a try! The combination of flavors was phenomenal. We paid $28 for all you can eat and it was well worth it. Do not let the location/entrance fool you! It IS hidden within a shopping center and we thought we were walking into a trap/hole-in-the-wall-with-no-one in it but it was packed with people. The appetizers that come with the meal are so well done. We ate the mushrooms and spring rolls. The rest of the meal was incredible. I do wish that there was a little bit less cream cheese. My favorites: Octopus sashimi, so soft and tender, Octopus in ponzu sauce, was amazing as well, and the cold sushi with the jam. This restaurant is kid-friendly. The menus set on the tables are in Brazilian Portuguese, but they do have English menus. Our total meal was about $70 with the tip. Delicious! Will be back! read more

Almost everything is made with cream cheese the quality was not good a lot of stuff had a fishy smell the sushi was on the warm side. Overall opinion: The kind of place that favors style over substance, and a generic gentrified-Asianesque overpriced restaurant. Narrative of the experience itself: I passed by a few times with some friends and we finally decided to stop in after they'd finished their remodelling, and honestly it was not great. The service people all had great attitudes, but the service itself was mediocre. We came on a rainy Friday night so it was pretty empty when we arrived but they had a lot of staff working since I believe they expected a bigger crowd. Which was fine but the way the restaurant is set up it's kind of just them looking at you the whole time which was on an experience level just off-putting. Every time we needed something someone tended to pass by pretty quickly was the good part of that. We did the all-you-can-eat for $35/person, the menus for which are 2 sheets of paper, 1 for appetizers and 1 for main dishes, and it lists the table number on the top. At first we were given menus in Spanish which itself wasn't a big deal, and honestly props to having physical menus in Spanish! Def something I'm in favor in though I'd argue that since neither menu was two-sided printing them together would be easier, but that's beside the point. Anyway, when we turned in our orders we only received the appetizers and none of the main course dishes. We thought "well they're reasonably busy let's order more appetizers while we wait", and we received the 2nd round of appetizers and still no meals. When we asked about it, they said they never got the paper and by that point we had been there for about an hour and decided to just call it for the check, and when we asked if we could just pay for the appetizers by themselves, but our server said at first "well I'd have to ask my manager" and then "that's not possible", I think without ever actually speaking with the manager? Which I don't really undertand, since again the menus that you fill out have the table numbers so it wouldn't be that hard to itemize it I don't think? In the end we saved ourselves the trouble and just paid the all-you-can-eat price, but yeah not somewhere we'll be returning to anytime in the future. Regarding the restaurant itself, the interior was stylish and the appetizers were all good but not particularly standout. Although we didn't get to actually eat anything on it, even just looking at the main menu was that a lot of the dishes were fairly gimmicky? They didn't have the variety better sushi restaurants have, eel for example, but I mean, a hot dorito roll? Half the menu is weird stuff people would order to say they've tried it once, which I supposed fits the target demographic of the restaurant but it's still disappointing when you sit down and realize how sparse the menu actually is. It was something like a full $1 / piece for the hossomaki on the menu, without the option for paying per roll, since it assumes you'll be doing the all-you-can eat and prices it based on that. Also, we had water with ice at the beginning and were given a pitcher to refill our cups, but the water was lukewarm without ice included so by the time we left after an hour we'd gone through 2 lukewarm pitchers. So yeah please add ice when you serve water is the real complaint of all this. read more

Our experience there took no more than 5 min and it was frustrating to say the least. My wife and I were craving for (authentic) Japanese food and decided to go to Hidden Sushi with my two daughters. We live in South Florida and were vacationing in Orlando. My daughters had already eaten snacks and weren't much hungry. We were seated and told that they had "all you can eat" menu for $39 per person (my youngest daughter would pay around $20). We asked if we could pay only for sashimi and a couple of sushis a la carte since they wouldn't eat more than that and it wouldn't make sense to pay the full price. The waiter wasn't sure and politely said he could ask his manager. After a couple of minutes he (not the manager) came back saying that it wouldn't be possible and if my daughters eat anything they would need to pay in full. Visited last night on 7/13 right when they opened at 6:15pm and right off the start I was impressed with the service. They were upfront about the cost and explained the whole menu and ordering process. For a Saturday evening, it was rather quiet inside which was nice. $5 for a can of soda!? You have to be out of your mind. No free refills here! The appetizers were decent to start but as the other items started to come out the excitement of trying something new stopped. The salmon must have been just thawed out because some parts of it were still frozen when biting into it. The salmon and breaded steak temaki was absolutely disgusting. The salmon had some frozen chunks and tasted and smelled fishy. The breaded steak was non existent but breaded crumbs of what would be left over after frying were present. The kani was very water filled also like the cheap krab sticks you could buy in a single pack at dollar tree. They were water filled probably because they were also just thawed out for service. Overall this is a one and done. Will never go back because the food was just terrible. Publix has better sushi. Trust me. Service is fine but it's a no go for the food. Do not try it and waste your money. It's not worth it. I'm ticked to spend that kind of money and get that type of food. I should have probably listened to the other reviews and steered clear. All the fish was incredibly fresh, every individual piece of sushi was unique, and obviously hand crafted. The only thing that they lost on was the service. It was very confusing, and there was clearly a language disconnect. We had 4 different people trying to help us, and none of them were communicating with each other. I brought my friend here for his birthday and got some of the worst service we have ever gotten at a restaurant. We came for the AYCE option, and unfortunately no one told us how it worked, so we were very surprised when our seemingly large order came back and it was 1 piece of sushi, not a roll like other AYCE places. Since this was the case, we quickly wanted to order more, but had to wait almost 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us. We had to order three different times; and in the end we didn't get over half our order. After attempting to ask someone and getting ignored for another 30-45 minutes, we gave up and asked for dessert, to which we found out they were completely out of everything.
