This is the best burger place in the DFW area! They were juicy well seasoned large burgers! My swiss mushroom burger had generous amounts of mushroom and melted cheese! YUMMO! Our huge quantity of sweet potato fries were tasty and crisp. We are only sorry that we had not stopped in sooner! The owner was gracious and took great pride in the many menu options and the quality of his food! My husband was a butcher in years past and could not stop raving about the quality! I've eaten here many times before and I love it! The service is great and friendly, the burgers are AMAZING, and the shakes are great too! I go here at least once a week because I am a major burger person and I get a simple hamburger done right. Between 2-5 you get half off of hamburgers/cheeseburgers and shakes and it's a pretty good deal seeing as that makes the burger 2.50! If you and a friend just want to hang out, eat here. I really like this place. Good, big burgers. The buns are fresh. The service is fast. The prices are reasonable, and even cheap for the sides. The sides... I have only had the fried mushrooms. I will have them every chance I get. Made in-house, not frozen, which I have a hard time finding these days. And I ordered a half order ($2!), and stuck with a child sized burger, so I'd have a chance at eating it all. It was a generous helping, which I could have shared, but I'm glad I didn't have to. Stopped here for a quick burger Sat night based on Yelp reviews. Very few people were in the restaurant- it seems like more of a daytime place. Lots of options to choose from, some pretty basic but also some interesting combinations. Pretty middle of the road burgers, good sized and obviously freshly made but a little bland (this was a consistent opinion and there were four of us having four different types of burgers). The fries were bland and greasy. "Like you just boiled a potato and then ate it". Also tried the "chicken fried fries" which is an interesting idea but, again, really bland. They are served with a side of gravy which looked and tasted like cream colored water. Overall, an average burger joint. We would eat here again but wouldn't drive out of our way for it. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for a couple of weeks, I really hate to say a place wasn't good, especially how some of them are struggling but, we did not enjoy it at all. As a matter of fact none of us finished our food. I had the green chili burger and my wife and daughter got plain cheeseburgers. We also got fries, onion rings and fried pickles. The staff was great. This place is noticeably going down hill. When I first use to eat at hideout, the service was great & the food was tasty and you got a lot for your money. They must be under new management because their customer service is very poor. Over the last two visits (to-go orders, that I placed in the restaurant) I have received chili cheese fries that had clearly been sitting out for a while. It was more like eating a chip, they had gotten so hard & uneatable. Gravy that had the consistency and taste of water. They must have changed their portion size because I got a side of fries that looked like it was one for a child but cost the same as the portion I was suppose to receive as usual. The cashier was giving me a hard time about my order too, just unfriendly. I'm not one to usually leave comments or complaints but after trying to give them another chance, and feeling like I wasted my money on food that was so poorly done and just thrown together, I had to share my past couple experiences. Had sweet potato fries w a side of the chipotle mayo, and a side of the ghost sauce. The ghost sauce is really hot, but like the one poster said, its no worse than atomic sauce at Wingstop, and for ME, lover of all things blazing hot, it was great. All in all pretty good. BEST BURGERS IN MANSFIELD FOR SURE! I was introduce to this place by one of my good friend, and she was right! It's not like the other burger place around town, they have unique burgers like the one I ate was the Hawaiian Burgers(with pineapple). After the first bite and I was in heaven , the way juice from the pineapples mixed with the juice from the meat it was amazing. And they are a good size patty 1/2 a pound I think, but if you're in the mood for a good Texas burger this is place to go! And the Staff was super Friendly and very helpful!
