Great experience for a weekend birthday excursion. Expansive donut, sandwich and coffee/tea menu. Super friendly staff and owner. We had an allergy concern and everything was fully explained. Reasonable prices. Relaxed casual atmosphere with great music in the background.

Cool place for really unique donuts. Wife and I split an iced coffee and two donuts - old port and the s'mores donut. The s'mores was just what you would expect, tasted like a cruller base with marshmallow, chocolate and pieces of graham cracker. It was good but a little too chocolate forward for me. The old port was a similar base with a cake type of crumble on top. This one tasted denser, which I liked. It's a small place with 4 seats inside, and just as many outside. Plan to eat on a bench.

Highly recommend visiting this spot. My friends and I went for breakfast and it was so good! Quick, and easy to order. Donuts were good and their sandwiches and coffee were top tier! family friendly vibes and you can sit outside too

The service was superduper fast, which is really nice. However, I wish I came here a little little bit earlier in the day because I didn't realize some of the donuts would be sold out nevertheless, I got a twist and a chocolate sea salt crueler. I would definitely recommend coming here however definitely come here early so you can try all the flavors that would not be sold out later in the day. The place is downtown and super Duper cute part of town and I highly recommend stopping by there when you're exploring downtown.

After an extremely disappointing experience at one of the super popular donut spots in Portland, my group actually ran into another group of super disappointed patrons that mentioned they were at Hifi earlier and enjoyed their donuts. Saw this place sold crullers and figured we really needed a win so gave this place a shot. Opted to get two donuts. The salted matcha cruller and the Portland Fog (a take on the London fog). The latter donut was a cake donut, albeit like an old fashioned style one. Was pleasantly surprised with just how MOIST the donuts were. Significantly more than the last place: My only critique was I found the frosting to be a bit much. Almost like it was a hard shell placed on top of the donut versus a nice glaze over it. Still, this was a pretty solid donut shop and I would definitely come here again to try some of their other crullers. The space itself is pretty cool. Has limited seating so would just grab and go. Workers are pretty casual and nice.

I have been here multiple times and just went here the other day for a pickup breakfast. I am never disappointed. Staff is always friendly and the service is always very fast. It's a nice little shop in a good location and you're always greeted with a smile when walking in. This time I got the bacon and cheese on a bulky roll and then three selections of donuts. The breakfast sandwich was very good. Everything was good perfectly and they put a good amount of bacon on the sandwich. Also asked for hot sauce to be added which I highly recommend. They have a wide variety of donuts always available and they are always so delicious. When you walk in you'll see how hard it is to choose from all their flavors. Their coffee is pretty decent as well. I just love how fast they are here and I've never been disappointed with the food. Highly recommend trying this place out. I Would say this is my favorite donut shop in Portland.

Small but mighty, we came in for coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and to try some donuts. We absolutely loved these cruller style donuts! They were all so light and had great flavors. Iced coffee was affordable and good and the breakfast sandwiches were large and tasty, just a bit salty (especially the pork roll one). Food came out fast and there's some indoor and outdoor seating!

Delicious donuts and an even better breakfast sandwich. My sandwich was egg with ricotta and roasted vegetables on Italian bread. It was perfection. Coffee was fantastic. There's some seating and the staff was very patient and inviting.

The donuts were SO FREAKING GOOD. We picked up some for my friend's birthday to share. Three different blueberry types plus a raspberry chocolate. They were all great, but the blueberry with a bunch of sprinkles (I think it was called blueberry crunch or something similar?) was my favorite. I wish I were there for longer because I would have gotten more. Definitely would come back!

Fun flavors and they're oh so good! They offer a variety of unique donut flavors including: chocolate orange, boysenberry, apricot and almond cobbler, hibiscus salted chocolate, etc. I ordered the lemon poppyseed and maple crueler. Both were amazing in their own ways! The lemon poppyseed was a fresh old fashioned donut. The lemon glaze is a little tart and it was fantastic! The maple cruller is very fluffy - reminded us of a popover! Definitely unique and yummy. We both agreed we loved the maple frosting on it.

Yeah, this place is the BOMB. If you're questioning it or you're overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options (there were over THIRTY-FIVE to choose from on a Sunday morning!!), get a cruller-style doughnut. You have to. It literally melts in your mouth, it's so good. I don't have any other way to explain it. It's also worth mentioning that I've never been a super floral flavor person, but I was intrigued by the Portland Fog cake doughnut and the (super friendly) staff member cashing us out told me that it was their personal favorite, so I gave it a try, and it was DELICIOUS -- great flavor and honestly not super floral, which is exactly what I was afraid of. Post-COVID, they no longer have tables indoors -- there are a couple of counter seats and minimal outdoor seating, so prepare to grab and go. 10/10, so sad we don't have one of these in Jersey!

Cute little place with lots of delicious donuts and breakfast sandwich option's! Ambiance was great! A warm and welcoming decor. Service was great! Coffee was good as well. I'll be back for certain.

Tragically for every donut shop in town, I am more of a fan of Entenmann's uber-processed grocery store donuts than artisan ones--HOWEVER: Hifi Donuts is the place to go if you're a donut lover. I ordered both the nutella and their savory ham/cheese donuts, as well as the lavender lemonade. Surprisingly, the savory donut took the cake, as it was exactly like a ham and cheese pastry--ooey gooey and delicious. Pro tip: get it heated up. The nutella donut was good but not necessarily anything to write home about. The lemonade was fantastic and perfect after a long day at the beach! The staff were very friendly and the space is small but both tidy and cute. Not a ton of indoor seating, but the seating they do have overlooks Congress Square. Definitely a must try!! Can't wait to head back and try new flavors.

Visiting from out of town, 8:00am Saturday: no line, full selection, friendly and chill vibes…read more These donuts have a slightly chewy, dense texture that is very pleasant and not quite like any other baked good I can think of. The flavor doesn't hit you immediately but develops as you chew. A novel donut. Lemon, vanilla, and blueberry were my favorites. The whoopie pie donut tastes just like a whoopie pie, if that's your thing. I was a little disappointed in the sweet potato ginger -- I don't think I could have identified the flavors in a blind tasting, too subtle. But still tasty. Definitely recommend this spot for a different kind of donut experience.

Holy Donut opened their first Portland location back in 2012, and they now have five locations around the state, including this DT location which is probably their busiest. The Good: *Vegan & Gluten-free offerings--but they're not synonymous! Check the fine print or ask. *Coast-to-Coast shopping options, including vending machines (we saw some at PWM). *Online ordering available for pickup. Tbh this is probably the way to get them, as you can skip the line and go straight to the back at the pickup window and just get your stuff right quick. You're welcome. *Donuts are made daily from scratch and feature seasonal and limited flavors. The Meh: *You'll most likely have to pay for parking at this DT location. *You'll also most likely encounter a large line to order from, depending on the time of day. When we walked by earlier before lunch it was HUGE, but after lunch it was down to manageable ±10 people ifo of us, and it did move pretty quick, as well. I mean, it is just donuts ffs. It shouldn't take you more than a few minutes to decide. The Ugly: *Pricing is a bit obscene at ±$5/ea, but it's to be expected in a extremely popular area full of tourists and cruises. *Take this with a grain of salt, as I'm very particular about donuts in general, but I found them to be very heavy and just OK. Also, the flavors could've been punchier, as I found the taste a little too muted for my liking. Conclusion: Definitely not worth a long wait or the price imo, but if you're in the area, the line is short, and you have $5 burning a hole in your pocket then I say go for it. Because, evidently, I'm in the minority judging by the popularity and reviews. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After having some of the bread prior to our meals at a few restaurants, we found out the bread is locally sourced at a sister business right around the corner from where ate the night before. There was so much to select from - we got pastries, cookies, pizza and bread - and we pretty much liked everything. Our least favorite was the morning bun with walnuts - we didn't have it right away so that might've been part of the issue. Just note that the bread served at the restaurants aren't available until 2pm - we were leaving that morning so we weren't going wait for it. We opted for other loaves instead and they didn't disappoint. If you want something yummy and fresh - make sure to stop by here before heading out of Portland. I do wish the setup was a bit more conducive to the big crowds as there isn't much space from the front door to the counter but still a fantastic find!

I also got an iced vanilla latte - thoroughly enjoyed the latte! Four adults and a toddler sampled a bunch of donuts - sounds like the start of a terrible joke...These are my notes on all of the donuts and not a consensus from the group, in no particular order. Woopie pie: 4 stars - good flavor and texture, nice way to begin this sampling experience. Bacon cheddar fried donut: 5 stars - delicious, amazing flavor, served hot, good distribution of fillings; would gladly have this again! Margarita: 3 stars - definitely taste the salt and lime, little bit of tequila as well; glad I experienced this, not something I'll go back for. Key lime holy cannoli: 5 stars - love the texture of the donut, light and fluffy, good lime flavor and enjoyed the cannoli cream. Creme brulee: 3 stars - good flavor, the crystallized chunks of sugar were a nice touch; I had high hopes, and it was alright but not life changing - that's on me. Maple: 3 stars - typical maple donut, not overwhelming with flavor but definitely knew it was maple. Maple bacon: 4 stars - lots of bacon, almost balanced by the maple. Blueberry lemon: 5 stars - really great lemon flavor to the glaze, blueberry flavor comes through the donut nicely; looking forward to having this again! Vanilla holy cannoli: 5 stars - again, love the texture of the donut, classic flavor with the cannoli cream; I would gladly eat a whole one of these! Chocolate sea salt: 3 stars - good chocolate flavor, didn't get much of the sea salt coming through. Pomegranate: 4 stars - very sweet, good amount of pomegranate flavor; could not eat a whole one as it would be too sweet for me. Honey lavender: 5 stars - mmm, honey and lavender partnered nicely, sweet but not obnoxiously so, loved how well the lavender flavor came through; I very much so enjoy botanicals in sweet treats and lattes. Toasted coconut: 5 stars - deliciously sweet coconut taste, nostalgic flavor of something my grandma use to make, I really enjoyed it!
