I've been here several times hoping to see improvement in the employee mask wearing, but there hasn't been any. The coffee and food is decent, but the employees are not good about wearing masks and their customer service is severely lacking especially considering how expensive the menu is. There is only one barista who I've had a pleasant experience with and unfortunately I don't know his name, but he wears clear glasses. Overall- I only go because it's in the neighborhood so it's convenient. It's overpriced and in general the employees are rude and aren't concerned with timeliness or health precautions. read more

Even if you are not a coffee drinker, you need to try out High Brow Coffee! Their food is fabulous! They have homemade pop-tarts, panini sandwiches with all natural ingredients, delicious homemade quiche, homemade buttermilk biscuits, Kombucha, smoothies, ice cream, and more. I'm not one to go out of my way for a cup of coffee but I was out early running errands and decided to try someplace I've been eyeballing. I'm very picky about my coffee. The coffee was AMAZING. This place is adorable. The decor is "rustic modern" and incredibly cozy. There's a nice outdoor seating area. The bathrooms are clean. I got a Yerba Mate green tea and my hubby got a cappuccino. Both were delightful. We will definitely be back. read more

Fast service and delicious drinks. I frequent this shop and they consistently deliver good drinks. The lattes are not overly sweet either. Bourbon Caramel latte with oat milk is my favorite. They've adapted well to curbside and pick up too. Keep supporting this local gem. read more

The coffee is simply the best in the area. Not sugary. Not fake-tasting. Yet incredibly flavorful and creative. I love the spicy mocha. The drinks and treats are made with real ingredients that taste like love. But the friendly staff is what makes this place our favorite. They're genuinely glad to see you and serve you. My experience today was very disappointing. First, the interior decorations is overkill Restoration Hardware and not very comforting. Second, I ordered a very simple Mocha, 12 oz, and after sticker shock of $5.75, I had a drink and the coffee was very dull. I always stop here on the way to work for an iced tea, probably the best iced tea I have had in a long time, I need to ask what brand they use. I love the decor of this place, it feels cozy and modern. When I am feeling super hungry, their biscuits with various fillings hit the spot. I deducted one star for price ($4 for small unsweet tea seems a bit high, although I do appreciate the food quality), lack of large to go tea glasses (notice a trend here?), and lack of lemons for tea drinkers. I went to High Brow Brew a couple years ago when visiting friends in Nashville and thought it was cute, trendy, served up a good hot latte,nice folks. I came back a couple weeks ago when visiting again and had a whole different experience; what happened? Most of my reviews say something about cleanliness because that's a huge factor for me - the place was definitely not up to high standards the day I came by. When I approached the counter, I was immediately informed that the espresso machine was down but that I could have drip coffee. I understand that things happen, and it's just a coffee break, but the young lady didn't seem all that apologetic about it. I did come in about 45 minutes to closing time, so its possible she was just over it - hard to run a coffee shop without the espresso maker. In any case, the drip coffee was decent enough and I do like the location. The wine & spirits place next door made up for my drive out there! read more

I've been searching for the best coffee in Franklin so I gave High Brow a try. Love the facility decor and location. Simple brewed coffee was fine. The Nutella pop tart was amazing and must have been hand crafted! Staff was efficient but not overly friendly. I will definitely return. read more

Giving 3 stars because the signature drink I ordered both times I've visited were delicious. BUT the owner is not friendly at all. Seems to be bothered With small talk. I don't live near by and I travel about 45 minutes to their shop. Every time I've said how much I enjoy their coffee he seems stuck up like yea I know. I went in for my birthday and let him know that I chose his establishment to eat breakfast and have coffee , keep in mind like I said I do not live close by any means and all he had to say was oh yea. A local gem! Delicious coffee (the Cuban is my personal favorite), and their homemade pop tarts are unreal.

Excellent coffee and great atmosphere including a very rustic shabby chic style. Gelato is excellent as well. The food offerings are out of a fridge and not made to order which does take away a bit from the overall experience as everything else is so expertly hand crafted. Pricing is reflective of very high end coffee and espresso offerings so don't expect it to be Dunkin Donuts. Great spot to plop a laptop down for some out of the office inspiration that isn't the craziness of a Starbucks full of students, hipsters and high school kids. read more

The decor is contemporary rustic and the attention to detail is perfect. The staff is always attentive and friendly. The time spent waiting on a delicious cup of your favorite flavor of coffee can used to drool onto the glass overlooking their specialty ice creams. Sit around the giant table and browse all the muffins and brownies and homemade treats. Yes.....try the gluton free brownie with a sunset. Before you know it, your coffee is ready. A cute coffee shop with a great vibe. Drinks are delicious, especially with their housemade syrups. I recommend an iced Jaggery. Four stars because it's very small, not good for groups of more than two and a little pricey. They have mirrors surrounding the walls which sometimes makes me feel as if someone can read my computer screen from across the room and it facilitates awkward eye contact. HIGH Brow Coffee... get ready to pay HIGH prices! We arrived for breakfast at 10:30 and they were out of just about everything. We finally ended up getting 2 very old, dry muffins, their last sausage pennini that we had to split between two people , a cinnamon roll (that was good but small), two waters, a chi tea and a small orange juice and our bill came to $33.00! Extremely expensive, very dissatisfied and we will not be returning. We definitely do not recommend this establishment. read more

My first few tries were amazing. I frequent this place a lot to enjoy the view and coffee. The barista made the best lattes and gave us the most incredible customer service experience. We felt welcome. I'm not sure what happened, but he hasn't been there and my experience has gone downhill drastically. The welcoming spirit is gone, and instead it's your typical snobbery and feeling like I'm invading their space. I worked as a barista in a similar shop nearly 20 years ago, when these employees were toddlers probably. I don't need schooling or snobbery. I don't think they understand that customers pay their wages. On my last visit, the latte wasn't warm enough, the music was so loud the cashier couldn't hear to take my order and that didn't prompt her to turn it down. The baristas then began to blast the music like it was a club, but poor music selections, and laughing loudly and singing along like it was a game. You do not want to hear the attempts at the high notes. Actually the past handful of times I've been in, the baristas have done this- singing loudly like they're at home in the shower. I didn't want to be a curmudgeon, but the past visit pushed it over the edge. I have spent too much money here to feel like I'm invading their shower karaoke jam. read more

They serve one kind of latte I can't find anywhere besides Florida and it's amazing. There is one gentleman there that makes it perfect. The past couple times that I have been there however has not been so great. I used to work at a coffee shop so I understand the craft, appreciation of the beans and the environment. I get a cappuccino today not a big deal, but it comes out like a latte. they educate me that that is actually what I meant order. Then when I explain it was to go they just poured into a cup. The whole reason I enjoy a cappuccino is for its body. If I wanted a latte, I would order just that. I don't know/care if theres some "internal" things going on with that team but more so than lately they are not as friendly as they used to be at this location. I debated whether not to share this but being a business owner myself, I would appreciate somebody doing so for my company. I really enjoy the coffee and the atmosphere here. They also have dessert treats that are very good. Their pastries are brought in from a local place (Lucy's Kitchen) and they are all natural, organic, non-gmo. Define try those out!
