Super cute coffee shop in Franklin! We went on a weekday and the line was out the door so be prepared to wait a little. It was definitely worth the wait! We had a pumpkin spice latte and an americano.

We stopped in Westhaven to try High Brow Coffee while on our way to Timberland Park for a hike. I really loved the aesthetic, enjoyed listening to Etta James being played. It was pretty busy, but moved quickly. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for a relatively small cafe. Ordered two iced Caramel Bourbon Oat Lattes - I didn't notice the flavor so asked for more syrup and while it was still very subtle, it was there. I think the milk overpowered the espresso, not sure if the roast is strong enough for me or if the syrup was rich/decadent enough to notice. I'd likely try another of their signature lattes if/when we return.

How cute - branded High Brow sugar cookies!

Love this spot. Fresh, clean, bright, airy. Their staff is so kind. I ordered a strawberry shortcake matcha (current summer fave) and it was wonderful. My husband (who is a former barista) loves that they carry Kalita filters and other helpful coffee supplies. I also want to shout out their pastry and cookie selection - how adorable are the branded High Brow sugar cookies? The donuts are also locally made and so yummy.

Today I really enjoyed the Franklin Fog hot tea. It was amazing! The raspberry Earl Gray scone was delicious, too. My only disappointment was when I went to pay I learned that my $2 High Brow Cash star reward had expired! This wasn't the first time that had happened. On March 18 I had gotten a text that my "$2 Reward" would expire "soon". "Soon" is the key word as that notice came two weeks ago and expired April 1! The problem is it never told me when it would expire. It just leaves you hanging! Wouldn't that be nice to know? The two girls behind the counter said they don't know how it works either- really! It's easy to spend the money but getting the reward is another thing! If anyone knows how that works, could you let me know or I guess I will have to write the Cash App people as well. It shouldn't be that big of a mystery! Help!

Omg!! I haven't had goodies from Lucy's in quite a while! She's one of the best desserts, by far! Pleasantly surprised!

Wow! I was greeted with a smile and acknowledged with 'hello' from the pretty lady, Selah, at the coffee bar. Seeing that I had not such a great experience at the coffee spot down the street, this is what I look for when I choose to do business. I believe in stimulating local economy and where I spend my money matters. They were kind from a very beginning and Max, a fine gentleman, answered all of my questions about the menu. I ordered the quiche-fantastic!!!!! Absolutely delicious espresso and you get a complimentary cup of java when you purchase a bag of their coffee! The ambiance was chill yet upbeat, very clean and very nice dunnerware!! I look forward to making this my Cafe of choice! High Brow, High WOW!

Coffees were lukewarm, not piping hot b/c I guess they are premade and kept in a thermos dispenser. Portions were small for both coffee and sandwiches. But the sandwiches were tasty. The hot sauce selection was great! Good place for a quick bite.

Stopped by on a Saturday morning before the eventual rush that overwhelmed their inside space. Folks were patient and understanding. That meant I had to sit outside in the rather cool weather, but at least the view was nice. The breakfast panini with egg and cheese was filling and just what I needed. Crispy sourdough exterior was wonderful! The bourbon caramel latte with oat milk was subtle but a bit on the warmer rather than the hot side. Not too sugary either. Nicely done.

Actually, we had a great experience and the only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is for the benefit of others. Coffee was very good, staff very friendly, and I had a nice mini-quiche. And, we arrived a little after 8:00 and there was no waiting plus 2 of the 4 tables was vacant. However, around 9 AM is when things heat up. I counted 20 - no exaggeration - people standing along the walls waiting for their coffee. Other reviews have mentioned this. So - unless you like crowds and long waits, arrive early!!!

I ordered the Cappuccino as I wanted to see how this establishment executed one of my favorite drinks. I waited a few minutes for the friendly barista to prepare my order. It was well worth it! The drink was smooth, not too hot, and offered a nutty flavor that drew me in. In fact, I consumed the entire masterpiece on my 3 minute walk back to my Airbnb. If you go, expect to order from an outdoor window. It is very popular, and I am not sure about parking. I saw one outside table that was mostly shaded in the morning light. There may be inside seating? I was in a hurry and did not notice. When you are in the Edgehill area of Nashville, you simply must visit Osa.

It's the kind of place that has a very East Nashville vibe, with a building that appears to have been a former auto repair shop or something of similar nature. It's unpretentious, it's beautiful in its industrial revival way, it's a great place to meet a stranger. The space is very dog friendly and designed to be a place of pleasure, as opposed to a laptop environment. All and all, it just hits the spot incredibly well.

We managed to snag a parking spot on the street right in front of 8th & Roast, which is always a plus! There was no line when we got there - but you can tell that this is a popular spot on any day of the week. My husband and I sampled a few of their seasonal drinks - the Peppermint Bark latte, and the Pistachio latte. All of their food options sounded good (and smelled good) so we also ordered the "Old Fashioned" biscuit sandwich to-go. The coffee was delicious - I feel like there's a noticeable difference in taste from shops that roast their own beans. We also really liked the breakfast sandwich! The biscuit was thick and flaky, and the sausage, egg and cheese was warm and savory. We didn't stay indoors long - but this is absolutely the kind of coffee shop that I could see myself working remotely at for a few hours. This was a great start to the long weekend - we'll absolutely be back!

I've lived in this neighborhood for years and have always made my coffee at home. But back in 2017…read moreto 2019, I used to come here to work/study and accidentally discovered the breakfast burrito. And oh boy. I became addicted. Then COVID hit. Window pickup became a thing. That burrito was basically my emotional support animal throughout 2020. I ate it almost every damn day. It was $5.95 and genuinely one of the greatest things I had ever put in my mouth. Fast forward a few years. I hadn't had it in forever. Today I came back, craving my beloved COVID breakfast burrito. Sweet baby Jesus. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. The audacity to call this thing a burrito should be investigated by the FBI. It's apparently wrapped in filo dough (pretty sure), which means it's baked, aggressively buttery, ridiculously doughy, and somehow almost raw underneath. This is not a burrito. This is a pastry having an identity crisis. The beans were basically the entire personality of the thing. Barely any vegetables. The egg tasted like it had been cooked twice, then sentenced to another cooking session inside the pastry. Everything was doughy, mushy, buttery, and sad. I took a few bites, stared into the distance, questioned my life choices, and eventually threw the damn thing away. And it's $10 now. Which I have absolutely no problem paying, IF THE BURRITO IS GOOD. The employees were very nice and kind, though. I don't know any of them and it seems like the whole crew is new, so this is absolutely not about them. But the only reason 8th & Roast remained on my personal breakfast map was that burrito. And now it's gone. RIP 8th & Roast breakfast burrito. 2017-2020. You were too good for this world.
