This tiki lounge is a true gem! We got into Solvang later than planned today, so a lot of businesses were closed. We stumbled upon this tiki lounge, and stopped in for a quick drink. You walk in and feel like you are in the Enchanted Tiki room at Disneyland minus the singing birds. It is a tropical paradise in a little Danish town. Kaila the bar tender was amazing. She was so friendly and personable and made the experience a 10 out of 10. I would truly go back just to chat with her. However I loved that they had an ACE pineapple seltzer on tap because a lot of places don't. My husband got a mojito and he loved it. Whatever they are doing at this Tiki lounge they need to keep it up!

    Terrible AI slop ad.

Uses terrible AI slop to make their artwork. That's even more un-tiki than making cocktails without rum. Very disappointing for our small, local scene.

I loved the tiki bar! They really went all out with all the details and we kept pointing out different things about the decor My mango monsoon was perfection. I would get this drink every time! The mugs were so cute! The server was friendly and gave us recommendations around the area since we were visiting from out of town

I've always seen this place but never had a chance to try it out. Either we didn't have time or when we do, they were closing. Well, it was a festive weekend in Solvang and literally everyone was out and about enjoying the holiday season and lights. Pretty much everything was packed or a major line. Decided to try this place out for a drink and to warm up a little. It's not a big place but quite roomy. There was patio seating along the side as well as the main bar area right when you walk in. It's smaller in that room. But we were seating in the back room which was slightly bigger. I can say it's quite a cool and creative fun place. Hawaii meets cocktails obviously. A cool design of the place giving tiki bar. Sofa seating along the wall and hi top tables and tables along the sides. Drink menu was fun. Pretty much mixed cocktails. As it was the holiday, they also had mulled wine which I did try. You could purchase the holiday mug that it comes in if needed. It was quite tasty and perfect for the holiday spirit. Warm and smooth but with a little special touch. Also tried the prickly pear margaritas and mojitos. They came with a lighted ice cube for the extra sparkle. Drinks were good and festive. It did get busy as people were starting to trickle in. It's a cool bar in Solvang. Drinks were pretty tasty. And priced well.

Cute lil bar with live music! Tiki inspired, kind of reminded me of Disneyland. Our service was great and so were the drinks. We had a variety of different drinks- beer, old fashions, mango michelada and the blue Hawaiian.

It had been a few months since our last visit to the High Roller, and unfortunately this experience was very different from the previous one. It appeared that there was only one server, one bartender, and the owner working during an extremely busy time, which made the overall experience feel overwhelming and unorganized. When we first arrived, we were seated immediately, which was great. However, once we sat down, the service went downhill. Our order was taken, but after waiting over 20 minutes without receiving any drinks, my boyfriend went to grab waters for us. When he asked the bartender for cups--since there were none at the self-serve station--she rudely pointed out where the water was, even though he already knew. He had to remind her that there were no cups available. The drinks themselves were good, but the service was very poor. I understand that the owner is heavily involved and clearly puts a lot of effort into the bar. When I asked how he was doing, he seemed rushed and stressed, as he was acting as both server and bartender. He mentioned that things would be better if customers weren't yelling at him. While I sympathize with being understaffed, the frustration from customers seemed to stem from the long wait times and lack of service. The inside of the bar is cute and well decorated which makes me love this cool little spot, but sometimes the decor gets washed up by the service. Overall, the potential is there, but better staffing and customer service are needed to improve the experience, Especially during the holiday season when it's jam packed with tourists.

Me and hubby shared a mermaid bowl. It was yummy. Lots of cool spots to take pics, there is also a small upstairs nook. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, even with a private event going on.

Stumbled upon High Roller on a weekend trip to Solvang and honestly, it was such a fun break from all the Danish bakeries. The vibe is super tropical--it feels like a little hidden patio getaway. I wasn't sure about wine-based tiki drinks at first, but they were actually really good (and a nice switch up from heavy rum drinks). They have beer too if that's more your thing. Just a heads up: they don't serve food, so definitely eat before you go. Great spot for a casual tiki drink.

Had a wonderful experience at this Tiki lounge. I arrived for early morning drinks at 11am. Don't judge me, I was on vacation ;) The vibes at this place were great, and the drinks were even better. They also have a great retail area in which you can purchase shirts and tiki glassware. The bartender that helped us was very friendly and loud is plenty of time to make our decision. The drink menu was extensive. I wish this place was close to my home. I would be there at least once a week for a delicious tiki drink

Service was a bit slow but the drinks were delicious. The ambiance was amazing, they had a whole tiki theme going on and it was really cute.

We walked through the doors to a positive vibe! The bartender, Jordan, she was so friendly right off the bat! She welcomed us in and gave good recommendations. The drinks were delicious and so refreshing. We will ALWAYS stop at a tiki bar and we LOVE that this spot came on to our radar

Drinks were delicious. One of the best atmospheres in solvang. Service was quick and happy!

Such a fun place to get cocktails. The drinks came out so festive and so cute. The service was great. We enjoyed barhopping around Solvang, but this is probably got to be one of my favorites. When I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely be back It's a fun tiki bar vibe that's Instagram worthy.

Our server Hally greeted us the moment we sat down. I asked her for an appetizer recommendation and she immediately named three with no hesitation, no hedging, no "everything's good here." We landed on the calamari and the Truffle Gnocchi, and that gnocchi was the surprise of the night. Not a lot of places do gnocchi at all, much less one built this well. Spinach dumplings, grilled artichokes, and a black truffle cream sauce that stayed balanced instead of heavy. Exquisite is not close. We both ordered the filet mignon. Perfectly cooked and tender enough to cut with a fork. Hally checked on us the whole night without ever being pushy or hovering. She was warm, welcoming, and completely professional; the kind of server who clearly takes pride in her work and is a real asset to the ownership team. Comfy and relaxing, and dim lighting. Drink menu was diverse. Great selection. From cocktails to all types of alcohol. With an average price range of $15. Bartender knew his craft. All drinks ordered were great! C for service. The service dept needs some help, and I get it, with one person serving 15+ people. It is impossible to provide a5 star service. Initially service was great with a smile when we first arrived @ 6 pm. But soon after the bar became super busy. The wait was 20-30 minutes for an order. It was time to leave. We asked for our check and it came non-itemized. If it was 2 or 4 drinks that would be fine, but we were party of 3 with over 10 drinks. Then we had to wait again after asking for an itemized check. Waiter stated they need to hand write as their "machine" was not working. That took more time than needed. Ahhhhhh.... Ah well.. you can't get it all. Hence the 3.5 stars. I recommend, to sit at the bar and maybe pay cash to avoid hurdles I experienced.

Little hidden gems. Lighting is dark with bits color and neon popping through. The Bar Top curves around the bar- there are two booths that seat 5-6 and two short tables next to them- one seats 4- the other will comfortably seat two. There are a few bench style seating areas at the front with some short coffee tables. Think- skater tiki bar. The drinks were good- small menu if you're not sure what you want or are new to tiki. Both sides of the menu are the same menu. There are some nice mocktail options as well- you don't see that often. The service for me is mixed- it wasn't busy- steady but not busy- 1/4 full. I ordered two drinks to start for our table- (no cocktail servers here/not unusual for a small Tiki bar) I asked for a soda water- the bartender looked at me without a word- popped open a can of soda water and walked away. When he walked back by, I asked for a glass of ice- he said nothing and I got an eye-roll huff. I almost left. I don't think providing a glass with ice to pour your canned room temp soda water in, is too wacky an idea to be perturbed by the request. The female who took the order was friendly, smiled and was professional. We got a third cocktail- the Mai Tai. The grumpy bartender was friendlier this time. So, that helped. Maybe he felt overwhelmed and I threw off his groove by asking for water- then a glass... either way- being annoyed wasn't cool. The music.... Wasn't Tiki- it threw off the "Tiki Vibe" and made it feel typical small local bar that serves only Tiki drinks with some Tiki decor. It didn't take you to the land of Tiki- disappointed. Drinks were good.

We were ready to walk out, but our drinks finally arrived. I suggested we ask for the check sooner than later, considering how long it took to get our drinks. (Others who arrived after us did not seem to have to wait as long as we did.) Moments later, the vibe completely turned around when the bartender blew a conch shell to award a patron a Ventiki fez, accomplished after drinking all 60 cocktails on their in-house passport. That energy really helped recapture any aloha we felt upon arriving and we ended up staying for hours and chatting with staff. The place redeemed itself. We promised to return with some friends shortly who were driving through Ventura. We stepped out to grab coffee while waiting for our friends to arrive. We were excited to show them this place. When our friends got there around 4pm, they received an incredibly cold greeting at the entrance. They sent us a text and we told them we were a block away having just picked up a coffee and heading their way. When we all arrived together, a bouncer was at the front stand, boorish and inhospitable... his immediate attitude was downright insulting. (He wasn't around when we were there earlier.) He had previously refused to seat our friends at a table for four--even though we were just a block away--demanded we throw away our coffees, and asked us for ID. (My husband and I are in our late 50s/early 60s, and friends late 40s.) We literally had just been there for a couple hours and spent a good amount of money. Sure, I understand places have policies, but this attitude was COMPLETELY different than when we were there earlier. The bouncer was a self-important jerk about the whole thing. We went from giving them a second chance after they rekindled the aloha spirit to being completely turned off by the bouncer's egomaniacal attitude. Again, 4pm Sunday, no line or anything. Not some nightclub. Utterly unnecessary brute at the front. Rude and completely uninviting customer service. We ended up going down the street to a local brewpub that welcomed us, no attitude, no carding, and they didn't bat an eye at our coffee cups. AND when we parted ways with our friends, they told us they swung by Ventiki to talk to the manager. The manager told them she supports her bouncer and was unapologetic. If there was a society for tiki lounges with a membership card, this place should have their card revoked. They are not worthy. Tearing up the fez passport I started and will never set foot in there again.

We went in for happy hour and ordered just about everything on the menu because the tapas selection is where it is at. I realized we ordered every single one; we couldn't help it because everything we tried was spectacular! The absolute standouts that we kept ordering over and over again were the Elote Cups, which are essentially esquites served in a clever, edible tortilla bowl, the Bacon Poppers, which are cream cheese-stuffed jalapeños wrapped in crispy bacon, and the Riding a Pig, which is smoky BBQ pork with a perfect, crunchy slaw served on bread. Since we had been wine tasting all day, I switched over to a few rounds of their refreshing sangria, while my husband stuck to their beer and absolutely loved the unique craft selection they have on tap. As a huge bonus for pup parents, even though we did not have our dog with us this time, Santa Barbara is incredibly pet-friendly, and this place goes above and beyond. We saw they provide actual dog treats and fresh water bowls for the fur babies. Next time we visit, our pup is definitely coming with us. Don't do what I did and leave your itinerary to chance.
