I absolutely love this place. The ambiance is great- I love how it is decorated with so much tiki decor. I love the dim lighting and couches. They also have a great store with so many souvenirs I wanted! Wines, cups, mugs. Service- The service was great. Our bartender was very funny and attentive and engaging when we made conversation with him. Drinks- they have a great selection of booze. I tried a guava drink that was so tasty. All of their drinks have a great presentation. I came for their selection of winter drinks and was not disappointed! I had an Apple cider drink the misfit island mixer) it came cold and came with a cute gingerbread rubber duck I was told I could take home. The wife and I fell in love with this establishment, from the bar sitting to the comfortable lounge area, this place had a relaxing, chill, and rad vibe. Kayla was super cool and made us feel at home. I hope I got your name right! lol. We ordered 2 drinks. So good! I had the "Slots o Fun" and the wife had "This drink will get you lai'd". We rented out a room at the High Roller Tiki Lounge for a wedding after party from 11pm-1am. It was very reasonably priced and a large space that accommodated all of our guests. First, this place is beautiful! The lounge in the back especially. Even the restroom has tiki decor! We went in on a Sunday. Ordered the lychee martini, missionaries downfall, and the zombie Viking. Personally, I thought all the drinks had a little too much citrus (lime in the missionaries downfall and zombie Viking, lemon in the martini), but my boyfriend insists they were perfect. My Best friend and I were excited to get the fun drunkery of our solvang trip started and this cute little tiki bar grabbed us right off the street! This was a rare little getaway for me! I know my cocktails very well hell i create them all the time! And these were not great! Not satisfying at all very very sweet and unbalanced no acidity either. Our second round wasn't any better cool presentation don't get me wrong but spending more money on your garnish and glasses than what's inside just is wrong to me. We asked for an extra "shot" in this round but it didn't help still tasted like kiddie juice. Honestly i expected way more and way better than what we got. We were pretty shocked so we decided to order some apps to take some of the pain away which didn't turn out any better as the food was just basic and from a nearby local place they order food from nothing special should've just left before that to be honest Lol. This place is obviously well loved but when i'm on a rare vacation and i step into a tiki bar i'm expecting Fantastic well crafted cocktails that knock my panties off this didn't do it for me. This spot in tourist heavy Solvang is far from an authentic tiki bar. The drinks are weak and some use wine while the basics such as mai tai are heavy with triple sec and juices. The mai tai was undrinkable! Save your time and $$ for a real tiki experience elsewhere!. read more

Stopped by with 2 of my best friends to celebrate a bachelorette party. Everything was good until the female server came over to take our order. One of my friends politely asked her about a drink she had ordered previously when she visited a year ago. It was a drink that was called "Monkey" something? The server then proceeded to belittle my friend and tell her that no they did not have a drink with a monkey in it. She talked to her like a literal child, laughed at her, and made her feel super uncomfortable. We all noticed this and were kind of taken aback. We decided it would be better to leave and take our business elsewhere. I know businesses might see girls celebrating a bachelorette party and assume we would be annoying or something? There was just three of us and we are definitely not the kind of gals to make a scene. We just wanted to have a couple drinks and be on our way. It was super discouraging since the bride had specifically chosen to go here because she had such a great experience on a previous visit. The one little back room was full to the brim where they had customers deciding to block the patio door. ‍ we didn't see how that ended up. Hopefully they moved. A must visit bar if in Solvang. Even though this bar stands out from the theme of the town, it probably has one of the best drinks in town though. Loved the ambience and lounging area of this bar. Drinks are at a reasonable cost and taste great. I liked how they featured some drinks from Frankie's Tiki Room in Vegas which was awesome. Bartender there is chill AF and tentative to his customers.
