Dave at High Tech has been my consistent mechanic for over 10 years. He is professional, affordable and honest. I am devastated the entire complex has been bought out by a weed grow and everyone has evacuated!!!! Dave has to be out by December 2022. Does anyone know of an automotive rental for Dave that has room for several car ports. He is a fixture, a place where you can take your car instead of going to dealers to get ripped off. There is only one star here because there was no lower way to rate this con artist. I would regurgitate my experience in order to hopefully reach out and WARN someone, at least one person of this "Repair" shop, but I really dont even want to feed this slim ball anymore energy. so, just as a small sample of what this money grubbing coward put me through, here is an excerpt from one of the emails that went back and forth while he held my car hostage damaging it more than he fixed it. Dear Dave: The car needs to be fixed to the standard for which you were already paid. We are asking for you to fix the shoddy work you did, according to YOUR guarantee. You guaranteed quality work, we want that quality and without question the vehicle needs to be safe to drive! The estimate you did months ago, that the insurance company approved, is the issue you are now trying to argue. If YOU underestimated the cost of repair, or were unable to get the correct part you should have immediately contacted the insurance company THEN. It is too late now. They have washed their hands of it and since you are not a shop they guarantee the work of, we are relying on YOUR guarantee. Of course if you increased the original estimate the car would have been totaled and you would have been out the repair job. Certainly makes us question your motive. Instead of contacting the insurance company YOU bought and installed the INCORRECT bumper. Instead of contacting the insurance company you didn't properly repair the frame leaving the vehicle in an unsafe condition. Installing the incorrect bumper made the rest of the replacement parts fit incorrectly, which are now falling off and cracking. The rest of the body parts and headlamp etc., are hardly "quality used parts" I don't think a part with bondo on it is quality, and certainly not what an insurance company would approve. Not to mention hardly what most body shops would call "quality". His response was that he needed more money.... its a long story... I would be happy to share my BAR complaint against this "repair" shop if anyones interested please let me know. read more

I came here to get light bulbs in my headlights replaced. 1. They told me it would take 30-45min. It ended up taking 4 hours. *Side note* I had a crack in my bumper fixed a month ago by another body shop, who I gave 5 stars for a great job. 2. When they removed my bumper to replace the headlights they cracked the bumper, the one that was fixed a month before. 3. David, the "owner", admitted fault, but said the person who fixed the crack did a bad job. He had no remorse of what he and his team did. 4. I've reported him and his business to the BBB. read more

A friend referred me to David about 5 years ago and I've been going to him ever since. He's one of the rare mechanics who actually has your back and it makes a HUGE difference in every aspect of getting your car repaired. You can trust him to tell you exactly what needs to be done and if possible, he will also give you different options for going about it. One example, is when I accidentally drove over a median and the car seemed damaged beyond repair - I could barely drive it to his shop! Not only did he repair the car, he also ended up saving me thousands of dollars by welding the bent parts back straight rather than having me pay for all new parts. That was about 3 years ago and the car has been driving perfect ever since. A more recent example was when my car started making a horrible scraping noise whenever it was idling. David quickly assessed where the noise was coming from and tested all the individual components so all I had to do was replace one part rather than the entire AC system. Again, he totally solved the problem and saved me lots of money. Whether its just an oil change or a major repair, David is the guy you want to go to. He knows his stuff, he works fast and truly puts his customers first! read more

The actual price is $40. The technician was helpful and nice so that gave the place the extra star. This has to worst place I been to have service and smog . Dave while very nice, is unorganized. He said come back at 11. I was back at 10:45. At 11 AM or a few minutes after he took somebody else who arrived after I did. Several times I brought my car in for the same repair. Hundreds of dollars and he couldn't figure the codes out on my vehicle. My classic car got all scratched up and didn't even get s sorry when I pointed it out. Different mechanics every time I went. Dave is a life saver! I cant begin to list all the problems I've had with my car, its just been bad luck! But as soon as something goes wrong i bring it to Dave. I know he will always make time to help me out, he knows I am on a budget and gives me the best price than any over mechanic. Trust me I've gotten quotes else where its a joke.
