Overall the experience was okay, but it didn't quite blow us away. The service felt pretty rushed they didn't really greet you or say hello, just asked for your order and waited. They also didn't offer much explanation about their drinks, so if you're not sure what you want, it can feel a little rushed. Inside seating is very limited, which makes sense for the size. The highlights for us Young man offered me a sample of Kombucha: the kombucha was solid, and refreshing. Both the regular latte and the black latte were okay. The blackberry latte was better. One nice bonus is there's a great park just around the corner down the hill with beautiful views. You can grab your drink and drive over to sit and enjoy it there, which is a nice touch. First, I've never been in that area of Aliso Viejo. It's charming! The establishment is very small with limited seating but it's super cute, very friendly service, and the coffee/food.... delish! I ordered a Caramel Latte with oatmilk, and Vegan BLT. So good! The coffee is great! No bitterness, which I prefer. The Vegan BLT was satisfying. Great ingredients, I personally love the heirloom tomatoes. My heart is happy! I hope you give it a try! read more

Seven Seas Roasting is a small coffee shop that closes shop early in the day at 4pm. They are located in a business complex with a residential community in the immediate vicinity. Cinnamon honey latte ($6.75 - 12oz) - This is made with espresso, cinnamon, organic honey, and whole milk. The coffee was rich and smooth and I could taste subtle hints of the cinnamon with honey. It was a great tasting drink. Overall, this is a cute coffee shop. Seating is limited to 2 small tables inside as well as a handful of tables outside. They do offer seasonal drinks and when I visited in the fall, they had pumpkin, maple pecan, and other fall themed drinks. Love visiting Seven Seas Roasting in Aliso Viejo. They offer consistently great quality of both food and service. The staff are friendly and very accommodating to every patron's needs. The location offers unique seasonal drinks and food items that are crafted to perfection. I particularly enjoyed their franken matcha and London fog latte recently. Parking is free and plenty in front of the cafe. The outside seatings are nice too as you can see the palm trees, and it gives nice shaded areas to get work done. Personally, I really appreciated how close it is to Grand Park. Perfect for doing my dog walks and grabbing something to eat and drink to or from. It's a dog friendly cafe too. Was in the area after a doctor's appointment, and decided to try this little coffee shop after seeing the 4.5 rating. Very cool vibes inside, that was immediately ruined by the woman behind the register taking our order. Not sure if she was having a bad day and taking it out on customers, but I've never clicked "No tip" faster than I did today, with absolutely no hesitation. We definitely weren't the only ones, seeing that there's another negative experience/review from earlier today (2/19 10am). The real bummer is that I actually really enjoyed the coffee. Coffee is good, but the service isn't. I placed an online order for a coffee and a chia pudding. I got there and the rude cashier (dark hair, petite) told me they don't have it, which is fine, and said it would be refunded. There was no apology and when I asked her if I would get an email or some sort of confirmation, she said she didn't know and it was out of her hands because it's through square with an attitude. Even her coworker gave me this look like what the heck. The cashier needs more training and an attitide adjustment. If she continues with this sort of service, it'll push customers away. Really great food and drinks! It's a small, cute coffee shop that's always packed with customers. There are some stools to sit on and drink your coffee/eat food inside, but there is also a decent amount of public seating outside. I've tried the Loc bagel and their el siete mares toast- they don't skimp on the salmon! This cute spot in Aliso Viejo was a pleasant surprise . It was surrounded by other stores ie/barber, yoga etc. I found parking right in front and this cozy nook was just what I needed in the morning. I was welcomed with warm smiles from 3 gals working behind the cashier. I ordered one of their signature drinks lattes, the triple coconut but iced. It was not watered down, and had thee perfect taste of coconut. It has house made coconut syrup, coconut aminos and flakes of coconut. Am I drinking a coffee or a coconut paleta?! Amazing taste. Can't wait to come back here again. They had also so much merch, a body loofah that smelled like coffee , t-shirts, jackets, even a freezer that had ice cream inside that you can take pints to go.. so that left me curious that I need to check out next time. read more

Came out to check out this cafe shop and was surprised at how busy it was during the weekday around lunch. The line was out the door given how small this cafe is. There is not much space inside and there's only a couple high top chairs available. I ended up getting one of their signatures which was a honey cinnamon latte. I felt like the drink did not live up to my expectations since it seemed like it was such a popular spot. Come here about three times a month. Every time it never disappoints. Coffee is always delicious. My favorite go to when I want to treat myself is the Cherry Bomb. They also have small chia bowls with variety of flavors. Even though the shop is small and gets busy I have never had to wait long for my coffee order and the workers are always friendly. The shop does have a small nook bar area to sit at that might fit about 3-4 grown adults but minimal sitting outside. read more

A couple years ago I was in the area and desiring a hot coffee on a rainy day and this place popped up on my app. When I arrived there was a line out the door and onto the sidewalk. I mean, I like coffee but not enough to stand in a ridculously long line out in the rain. So I bailed on that idea. Flash forward and I'm in the area again, this time on a hot day. I remember this place so give it another try. Parking is easy along the street. No line this time! The interior is super tiny with barely enough room for one person to order. There is a small side room with a couple little tables and several tables outside with umbrellas for shade. There was a helpful woman at the counter with a great sense of humor along with a fellow with the personality of a sheet of plywood. I ordered an iced maple latte and a croissant from the pastry case. I took them outside to one of the patio tables to relax and enjoy. The croissant was good; nothing special. It was fresh and flakey. The latte tasted fine, sweetened but I couldn't detect a maple flavor at all. But it was obviously made with an excellent bean roast. This coffee place is located in an enormous apartment community where there are many ground floor shops. If I lived in the community I would probably stop in here from time to time. read more

Individuals who give you looks as if they don't understand how or why you've entered their space... (That is if they even acknowledge you at ALL when you enter...) And lastly, if you would like burnt coffee and espresso and want to pay exuberant prices for it!---Then, I'm telling you, my friend, this is quite literally the most PERFECT coffee shop for you!!! They redid it and it was better but still not up to par like my first experience. Today, 12/26/25, I ordered one of the seasonal items. Mulled Cranberry..... Supposed to have cranberry, orange citrus, and spices. What did the drink taste like? Ginger and Rosemary. Complained and asked for a redo. The redo came in. Was exactly the same. Zero cranberry, zero orange citrus. All ginger and rosemary. That is not what I ordered. Clearly something is wrong here at this location and I will go elsewhere for my coffee drinks. read more

Really disappointed. We were looking forward to trying Seven Seas, placed our first order through the app. I made a mistake and didn't see there's a section for "drink temperature" but had requested light ice. When we picked up the drinks and notified the barista that one was supposed to be iced, she said "your order says both hot and easy ice so we just picked one". When we asked her to remake it she said "do you really need it remade?" In the process of her remaking our drink, a couple came in behind us and had the same exact issue (and were treated the same as we were). Such a bummer, as the coffee itself was great. Too expensive to have such poor customer service; try High Tide instead. read more

The only downside is space: not somewhere I'd want to sit and have a coffee with a friend which is a huge bummer because I would love to support this little gem a lot more often. As others have noted - the staff does not acknowledge you upon walking in and it can feel as though you're being rushed so they can continue their conversations amongst each other. Been coming here for a few years and their coffee is great, but it's not always consistent. So unfortunately that's disappointing, but we love that they claim to be organic and their syrups are said to be house made. Customer service is terrible, it's really too bad.They used to employ nice, happy people, but all the employees now seem like they either hate their job or that they're hung over. Employees rarely smile, and rarely say thank you or ask you how you are. It's too bad because this coffee house could really shine if they had better management and trained employees on customer service etiquette. Cute little coffee shop hidden in a residential area with some shops underneath. Staff was very friendly and offered suggestions on what to order I tried the cherry bomb iced latte with oat milk and enjoyed it. The flavors were well balanced and coffee was smooth. We also got a jalapeño cheese bagel and it was delicious! Right level of crispy but soft and light. I was not expecting it to be so good! It seems they are dog friendly and have some seating outside and a couple small tables inside. I used to come here at least twice a week for coffee, however I stopped going because I thought the customer service was not so great. I felt like a bother coming in and ordering (my order is extremely simple). The staff members are very cold and unwelcoming. They don't even say hi most of the time, and since the space is so small, it just feels so awkward. It's a bummer because I really do enjoy their coffee and matcha. I came in the other week to give it another shot and I was met with the same unwelcoming behavior that had stopped me from coming back in the past. It really doesn't take much to smile or ask someone how they are, especially when you end the transaction asking for a tip. It seems as though I'm not the only one who has experienced this based on reading other reviews. This place has so much potential to be amazing! Cherry bomb latte: yummm reminds me a lot of cherry cordials but without the sickeningly sweetness of them. Cherry taste packs a punch over the chocolate flavoring. As an early bird, there is nothing I appreciate more than good coffee shops that open in the wee hours of morning. Seven Seas is along my morning walking route so I stopped in right around opening at 6 am. There were already two people ahead of me and three more came in after I ordered - this location is super convenient for those of us who reside in the area and need a quick grab and go caffeine fix before work. Today I opted for an iced Dirty Earl with oat milk (latte with housemade earl grey syrup?! Incredible) and tried their new Fall menu pumpkin foam. Couldn't really taste the pumpkin as there wasn't much foam but the latte was so smooth, not too sweet, and had the perfect hint of earl grey - it's like my favorite tea and favorite coffee drink had a collab. I'll admit, I'm a bit of a coffee snob. And this place is amazing!! The coffee and espresso is very smooth, flavorful. Reminded me of one of the best coffees I've tasted in Guatemala. I wouldn't be surprised if the beans are from there. I loved it so much , I went back the second day and bought a bag of coffee to take back home with me. This is a hidden gem for sure.
