I ordered the Iced Finjan Latte and Pistachio Baklava. I got my caffeine fix from the latte and enjoyed the flavor as well. The Pistachio Baklava also made for a sweet breakfast. If you're looking for something even more sweet, get the Pistachio Milk Cake, which made for a yummy treat.

There was barely any almond flavor in it, and I would take a pass on this next time. The seasonal Cherry tomato pastry: go now! You want to try this while they are making it. This savory pastry is such a perfect breakfast/brunch pastry. The flavor profile is absolutely phenomenal, and it is mouth watering and delicious. It's filled with different cheeses, and topped with tomatoes. We heated up, and that was the game changer. The cheese was gooey and melty. Mmmm, mmmm, good! The staff is nice and helpful, and they were very welcoming. The case is filled with so many options, there's something for everyone!

I've watched the family grow over the years, and Peter has become a cherished neighbor and friend. The food is genuinely terrific--the meatball subs are amazing, and I've probably ordered the roast beef sub hundreds of times. There's also a great selection of ice cream, beer and wine, but one of my favorite things about Jump Start is simply being able to sit down, have a sandwich and see people from the neighborhood. Peter is also famously kind to the neighborhood dogs. I take care of dogs and bring them in with me all the time, and he always has a little bacon waiting for them. They get so excited when they realize where we're going that I practically have to drag them away from the front of the store afterward. Places like this are part of what makes a neighborhood feel like home. After more than 25 years, I'm incredibly grateful Jump Start is still part of mine.
