I'd toured other schools where the teachers in the room my twins would be in didn't even speak or a knowledge me(red flag). They had beautiful music playing (it was nearing nap time) and it smelled so clean. It was so bright and had such great energy throughout the building. I was pleased to see weekly charts in lesson plans and active. I'm just all around excited that I FINALLY found the school/daycare for my children that I can breath a little more easy about. I tried to keep my mommy face on during the tour but I was cheesing on the inside. I'll update my review once my children have been there for awhile Update: I still Iove this school . My kids can count in Spanish (they're 2). The only issues that I've had is them switching teachers and not informing me. This is one of my first experiences using a daycare facility because we often use family. I had to use this daycare facility out of necessity for my child. My child is pre-k age and is/was potty training and the facility did not properly assist my child in keeping themselves clean or on track with potty training. My child came home with poop streaks, and poor bathroom hygiene from not wiping properly almost daily. My child came home with no pants, no shoes (they lost them and could not find them until the next day), covered in pen ink and marker, a Missing backpack (they lost it and could not find it until the next day) on several occasions. It became increasingly apparent that the facility was not able to take care of children correctly. My child never came home with any notes or work that they had done, so I am only left to assume that no activities or curriculum was used at the facility for the pre-K age students. There was little to no communication with me regarding what was going on at the facility and when I was called it was only to tell me that there was an issue. My child was in this facility for only a few months and WE ARE NOT GOING BACK. The last straw for me was when my child was INJURED by a daycare worker causing the need for an EMERGENCY ROOM VISIT. To be clear this INJURY was caused by the caregiver based on the information I received from the doctor. This may not be everyone's experience, but it was mine and if I was a parent seeking a new daycare I would want to know what is going on at the facility. Please know that I do not normally write reviews of this nature, but felt like others needed to know our experience at this facility in order for them to make the best decisions for their own children and families. Please stay safe and my recommendation is to seek daycare anywhere, but at this facility. I hope the facility improves and works on training for the caregivers in the facility, but they have a long way to go as far as I am concerned.

On top of that when your kids get sick usually the rest of the house gets sick. My son missed 4 classes and you're only allowed two makes up which you have to pay for additionally. So now I'm out $150 when it's already $180 a month for the semester. I also never received my referral even after the manager repeated it to me for assurance. Shame on me for not reading the absence policies. I probably wouldn't have signed up while my son is so young and I'm a single parent so if I'm sick there is no one else to take him. And we have no family here. Which is not the schools fault I'm just saying it's hard to make it to every single class and only allowed two make ups isn't fair. On top of that I have two make up credits and every time I try to schedule it doesn't give me any options. I called and left a voicemail for help. No one has returned my call. And if I get a response to this review to email someone about my concerns, that is the wrong answer. You should look up my account and call me. You have no problem calling me to see how I'm enjoying class. You should at least call me to help resolve these issues. I understand your teachers have to be paid for their time but parents shouldn't be penalized for taking care of their sick kiddos and not sharing their germs with everyone else. Someone needs to rework this structure so this isn't an issue.

They are down to earth and they are not beating kids. There are some old schoolers and they will be like a grandmother (family) figure to your kid if you approve for further action outside of what the facility approves, hence why someone may have thought the kids have been "beaten" - without approval. It takes a village and they do not physically harm any child. They are teaching 1st grade level to preschool aged kids. They are required to submit projects and they have an awesome summer program where your child will learn how to swim under plenty of supervision inside an indoor pool. You automatically get access to the workout equipment as your child's tuition includes a membership to any YMCA location. Overall I get compliments on how smart my child is and I do credit YMCA for always focusing on early developmental learning. I have met parents from all over DFW that do not live close that continue to bring their kids. They have a wonderful secure playground. Better than any other head-start school hands down.

The only positive aspect of this daycare is Robin, the one staff member who truly cares about the children and goes above and beyond. Robin is wonderful and does her best despite the challenging circumstances, but it's unfair that she's left to handle everything on her own. The daycare is severely understaffed, with poor management that doesn't seem to care about the kids or support their staff. While Robin is fantastic, she deserves better, and so do the children. Every time I've interacted with the front staff at this daycare, it's been a frustrating experience. They consistently have bad attitudes, and I've caught them lying straight to my face on multiple occasions. It is quite convenient and has plenty of parking for most events. It is right off the newly built hiking and biking trail and very close to White Rock Lake. It has held gymnastic meets for years as well as all kinds of other less demanding opportunities to expand body and mind. It has a water park, playground, tennis courts, a fitness center with some weight machines, and open fields for the young kids to play team sports.
