I have been to this restaurant a couple of times with my boyfriend and it is so worth it! The food is amazing and fresh and the ambiance is cute. We love to sit in the patio area when the weather allows it. The service is quick and speedy and this is a place we will always come back too.

First timers here and I don't know names of dishes but all were simply amazing and beautifully prepared!!

I had heard good things about this place, and since it's not far from where I go for acupuncture, I decided to give it a try a couple of times. Unfortunately, I still can't say I really like it. The first time, I ordered the agedashi tofu, one of my favorite dish of all times! but it was a disappointment. For me, it just wasn't made the right way. I didn't have an issue with their fish offerings, but the biggest problem is the rice. The quality is poor, and in the chirashi bowl it was especially noticeable. The rice was clumped together, almost like it wasn't handled properly after cooking. I couldn't even finish the bottom portion. Service has been friendly ,I also think this place is more toward people coming for rolls and drinks rather than traditional dishes. In that case, another downside is the noise level inside. It gets quite annoying and I've found myself needing to wear my ANC earbuds just to be at ease. So.. still looking for a decent sushi place

Great sushi spot. We had for appetizers, the Yuca and Shishito Peppers. That a combo platter of sashimi but can't recall the name . The octopus was not chewy, it was tender. Clean place and good service. They have some unique sushi dishes. It's an interesting yet delightful fusion of flavors with the Peruvian vibe mixed in. Been there twice and enjoyed each visit.

Best Salmon Nigiri!! The quality and consistency is unmatched!! Such juicy, beautiful pieces. It's truly the best salmon nigiri ever. For $7 for two pieces it's the best!!! The restaurant is a casual and comfortable ambience with kind servers :) A hidden gem

Delicioussssss! Food was amazing. So much flavor in all their dishes. This Peruvian Japanese fusion knows what they're doing. The lomo saltado with the green sauce was great, maybe needed just a little more noodles, but the meat portion was generous so shout out to them for not skimping on the protein. I HIGHLY recommend the 4-in-1 Roll, as it includes their 4 most popular rolls. That will help you try a variety and see what you like if your a first timer. We also got the Spicy Lobster Roll which packs a punch of flavor. The textures on everything were on point as well. Not too saucy/soggy, just right. Parking is easy. They have a decent amount of tables and also have outdoor seating. Inside the restaurant is very clean and organized. They have TVs inside with sports on. Service was great. Very nice older lady took care of us. She was good checking on us and being very kind. Price was on the higher side, but all worth it.

    Toro

Best Toro I've ever tasted!! This plate has Toro cooked in different styles. Some are raw and 2 are cooked/ seared. It melts in your mouth. You can order by individual pieces. I usually order 2 of each. Service is great here as well as their customer service. Everyone is very friendly too. There's no ambiance but restaurant is nice and clean and they have a small outdoor patio. One of my favorite Sushi spots!!

Ordered a rainbow roll and what I received was not so much of a rainbow. The fish, which looked to be tuna, was bright red, neon almost and had a slimy coating. Didn't look right. Straight to the waste bin with this one

Had sushi for dinner at Higo Sushi with my lady friend. We each ordered 2 rolls for dinner. Hawaiian and spicy tuna for me, spider and dragon. Walked in at 7:20 on a Friday without a reservation and waited for about 15 minutes for a table. Food was good and once we were seated we were allowed to linger after we finished our sushi and chat at the table. We will be back

The food was ok. I liked the tempura shishito peppers , they were pretty good and came out hot The spicy edamame were ok. The service was ok too. The server did not come by to ask us how we were doing once the food came out. The rice was brought out with my appetizers. I'm used to eating my rice with my chicken teriyaki, not with my appetizer, so by the time I got my entree, the rice was cold. I had to flag down the sever and ask her for another bowl Of rice to be brought out with my chicken teri. The chicken teriyaki was big, but not very tasty. They used to be better. The ambiance was ok, they had football on.

Love Higo Sushi! 5 stars! Peruvian meets Japanese food! Amazing food combinations. The sushi is fresh with a nice Peruvian twist, like chimichurri. Service is super fast and friendly!

Spanish Mackerel that they will lightly deep fry after providing the sushi parts
    Anna T.

First thing you will notice is the extremely kind staff. Very polite and lovely for a casual dinner date. It is seasonal but I recommend their Spanish Mackerel and sweet shrimp. They will serve as sushi , but will not waste the body parts! They offer to lightly deep fry and enjoy everything. Their Seabream sushi and lomo Saltado is a hidden gem. Highly recommend! My favorite place since leaving orange county!

I was recommended this restaurant by a relative and they brought us here for dinner on Sunday! They have their own parking lot but there's very limited spaces if it does get busy. Walking in, we were instantly greeted and asked how many were in our party. We were instantly seated but there were quite a few occupied big tables around us. I couldn't catch our waitress's name but she was so attentive and nice to us! She would come ask if we needed refills, napkins, extra utensils, or extra bread and butter. After you order, you get complimentary bread and butter! They also have this green spicy sauce that you can dip your bread in. Between the 8 of us, we ordered 1 soup, 1 appetizer, and 4 main dishes! Everything came out so fast and was so tasty! You can even see the chefs preparing the food through the transparent glass. Food: Lomo Saltado (9/10): I absolutely loved this dish! The only thing I will say is that it was on a little salty for me but that's not something a little water couldn't help with. The beef was cooked so nicely, it was tender and the portioned nicely so it could be chewed with each bite. The grilled onions were for sure my favorite part. The onions soaked in all the sauce but were still crunchy which adds a nice texture to the soggy french fries. The french fries also soaked in all the sauce! There's also a side of rice to help make you more full! Tallarines Salteo de Carne (9/10): This dish was identical to the lomo saltado but instead of french fries, it was noodles! I equally loved this dish since they used the same sauce but with noodles instead! I had no complaints except it was on the saltier side but didn't mind it at all. Everything's the same as my lomo saltado review, perfectly cooked meat and onions! Jalea de Mariscos (9/10): This was our appetizer! It comes with a few fried items (fish fillet, shrimp, and squid). I think there are also Yukon potatoes but I could be mistaking it for another form of potato. The squids are fried in bite sized and they're so easy to eat! It also comes with an onion salsa that's so delicious! The salsa is sour so definitely be careful when dunking your food in there. I believe that this one comes in a half or full size!

We place our order, Thankfully the food came out, and was good (thanks Mr cook). 1 one of us at the table asked for the salsa, they normally give you with the food, He doesn't seemed to please and come back with 1 small salsa for 2 adults with large plates, non the less we didn't say anything we ate our food, and did not anything, at this whole time we finished out meal and our amazing waiter had yet to come see if we perhaps needed water or something, 10 mins later we stand up and go pay at the counter, with him because he was now cooking. . After terrible service from him we close the check, and he tells my brother "you don't know how to say thank you?" My brother hadn't really heard him so he softly said thank you and waived goodbye, he starts walking to the door and says "hey! " you don't know how to say thank you or what? For the second time... Again my brother just smiles and waives it off, no avoid any issues. We get in our car, and we see him walk outside, clearly hot and bothered, So now I get out the car to see what the deal is.... I would describe this place as that saying "Jack of all trades, master of none". I came with a group and we all ordered a variety of dishes, yet nothing stuck out. For a small space they have 1 waitress who needs better skills, she may be new. I say this because even as she brought out dishes she brought things out in pieces (got my shrimp cocktail, then had to ask for crackers, then had to ask for lemon, then had to ask for salt and pepper). Some points for the food: Talllarin - chicken was dry, pasta good Bandeja paisa - 7/10 arepa dry, no beef or beans Shrimp cocktail - very little shrimp, little to no juice, like a salsa mix in the cocktail Gyoza - good can't mess that up Lomo - eh fries came warm not hot, doesn't look like a traditional sauce The good things about this place: Good little green salsa and they served a good chicha de mora. Would I come back? No. You can definitely find better quality food and cheaper prices at a regular 1 cuisine restaurant. I would like to add presentation was nice on the food but nothing tasted quite right...

Blue and white interior with plants and pictures of Peru landmarks gave off coastal vibes. Our server Lupe was chill and made us feel welcome. The saltados ratio of tomatoes, onions, and rice were minimal to the sauce, and it was salty. The menu is misleading, there are grammatical errors and mistranslation for one of the items, Tallarín Verde Con Camarón. I ordered this reading the description, saying it was "green noodles with spinach pesto and breaded squid," when its actually shrimp with spinach pesto noodles. Prices are a little high for small portions of food they plate. For example, the 8-piece Yucca Frita fries as an appetizer for $8.99 is practically saying each piece is $1. Overall, I give this spot a 3 out of 5 stars because the food was ok and prices were a little high for what they offered.
