Mediocre chicken tender (I ate one before deciding to leave a review) and waffle fries without any queso.
    Kele I.

First, let me start by saying that when it comes to airport dining, my expectations are pretty low. I know I'm getting mediocre food at ridiculously high prices. I've done enough traveling in my life to know what to expect and to not expect much. Also, I've had a couple of rough days with hot weather, cancelled flights, and a crappy booked-at-the-last minute hotel room. To say that this fast food chicken vendor couldn't meet my expectations would be an understatement. I just wanted a couple of tenders, cheese fries, and a drink for myself and a sandwich, fries and a drink for my hubby. The cashier could not understand me. He personally spoke English with no accent, so I'm sure it wasn't a language barrier. It is loud in the food court, but I'm a nurse, a mom, and a huge part of my job involves public speaking, so I'm pretty loud. I finally ordered the wings with just regular fries because it seems that he could understand that. My husband wanted the brisket sandwich, but they were out (at 1pm). So he got the pulled pork. So, here's the order now - 2 tenders with fries and an iced tea. 1 pulled pork with fries and an iced tea. The cashier struggled with how to ring it up until another worker helped him. I'm told to grab the tea from the mini fridge on the corner of the counter. But there isn't any yes in the fridge. I tell them and they just stare for a minute. Then one of the women opens a plastic tub, puts a paper cup in it and scoops tea out using the paper cup and ungloved hands. She hands me one tea. I ask for the other. She says I only ordered one. I said no, I repeat my order and the cashier said, no, you only asked for one drink. They offer to let me get back into the now even longer line so I can order the other drink. I gave my husband the iced tea and decided to go to Starbucks across the way. As I was getting my food, a woman in a wheelchair comes up and is looking at the menu. She comments that they don't have wings listed (I'm assuming this chain typically has wings ‍). One of the cashier's rolls her eyes and taps a paper sign on the counter that lists some of the types of wings they have. No price. No quantity. Just wings. The customer points this out and the cashier mumbles the price. The customer asks how many and the cashier sighs, rolls her eyes again, and tells her. I've worked in the service industry. I know the job sucks. That's why I'm paying an extra "employee retention fee" to this mediocre food. I'm not expecting red carpet treatment. But I am expecting a minimal amount of knowledge about the job, the menu, and slightly less disgust at having to do the job. Meanwhile, my kid is eating greasy pepperoni pizza and garlic rolls the size of their head from the awesome staff at Tony + Benny's and generally living their best life.

Food - lots of what I consider southern style food. Sandwich mainly. I had the pulled pork egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and it was amazing! The brioche bun was the right bread for this sandwich and the pulled pork wasn't dry but it wasn't soggy wet either, so just the right amount of goodness in every bite. The jalapeño certainly kicks it up a notch! Service - it was good and quick. Ambiance - its inside of the La Guardia airport and there's general shared seating abound. Verdict - yes for sure!

Don't make the same mistake as I did and pay $4.25 for this sad cup of Mac and cheese side! :( like all airport food, everything is super pricey unfortunately so I tried to get the cheapest thing on the menu so I could get a fork. The portion is about 3.5 inches in diameter by 2 inches cup. Also not very good, lumpy cheesey and salty with a weird texture. So sad! Plane got delayed by 4 hours so had no choice! Would recommend packing utensils and snacks next time heading off to the airport.

What a nice find in this food court. Friendly staff. Excellent chicken tenders and chicken sandwich deep fried in a nice crispy coating and using thick chicken breast. The chicken tasted really good, not with an odd marinated taste like at a lot of the other fast food places. The coleslaw was made fresh there and tasted creamy good. The waffle fries we cooked perfectly. All around a great option on the go.

Nope. I should've read reviews before coming. The sandwiches are dry and old, and the loaded fries are tasteless. I got the hot honey chicken that, while good flavor, was terrible quality. The fries had pork, egg, and cheese all on it but it was completely tasteless.

I had lunch here yesterday while making a connection. It's located in the nice and new Terminal B in the food court area. Hill Country is a counter service restaurant that advertises bbq but really serves more chicken tender meals than bbq. I saw one pulled pork sandwich in the menu. I went with the Texas Tenders (because I live in Texas) meal with one side for $15 and chose waffle fries. I added a sweet tea for another $4 with no free refills. The food was ready in less than 5 minutes. It was pretty average taste wise. Nothing great but not bad either. The 2 tenders were a little greasy and the waffle fries were reasonably fresh and not greasy. You will definitely get your fried food fix filled with this meal. I will say that both tenders were large in size so the meal was filling. It's overpriced airport food. What can I say!

Wanted to leave a new quick review for this spot in LGA, this will be a add on to my last review from the chicken & waffles. This time I had the hot honey chicken sandwich & it was fire! Lol Sweet, savory all that only thing that sucks is you have to pay for extra topping (lettuce, tomato etc) & it don't come with fries! Smh which is why I gave it a 3 star. I recommend the chicken sandwich only if coming here!

Imagine taking 10 Krispy Kreme classic glazed sugar donuts and compressing them into a waffle. Each layer between the donuts doused with copious amounts of extra sugar, for good measure. And it's all compressed into an extra dense sugar brick sandwich. Sprinkled with a modest amount of incidental cheese and eggs with a meek strip of bacon. It's an overwhelming sugar surge taking a sledgehammer to the head. Just the memory of me eating this again is giving me both a headache and a toothache. I'm a huge fan of Hill Country in NYC, but this was tragic.

Horrible...no gravy for biscuits and gravy, Egg sandwich with bacon and pimento cheese, was cheese blend squirter no bacon

Bacon, Egg and Cheese in the bun, soft and fresh, the cashier was friendly and knew how to give me many options. Their waffle fries are very crispy. I recommend to all their breakfast.

I'm a lover of fried chicken, but this Queso Chicken Sandwich was great, its chicken was tender, and that cheese sauce with jalapenos and chopped peppers is the best. I liked it so much that if I were to pass through the Terminal B and Hill Country facilities, I would repeat this sandwich again.

Poor representation of Hill country in Manhattan.... Fried chicken served at room temperature, soggy and greasy. Pulled pork was dry served on a stale brioche. Horrible dining experience

This is biscuit and gravy. Never seen it made like this.

I've been here twice and can tell the meat is very fresh and well prepared. I can't even name a favorite, just loved everything! The meat staircase is definitely something to try - so many cuts and good portion size. You get two to three pieces of each protein. It's a great value. Service (5/5): This is a self-cook, manning your own meat establishment. The food comes out prepared on trays at fairly quick speed. Burners worked well and were changed out when burned. The burner seemed small but we were able to cook fast enough to keep everyone happy. Food (4/5): For 6 of us (4F & 2M), we ordered just the right amount of food: Meat Lover's Stair Combo, Beef combo, veggie platter, 2 rice. I'd say that all of the meat was super tender but nothing stood out too much. None of the meat was marinated except for 1 meat in the stair combo that turned out to be everyone's favorite. For all that food it was about $40/pp. A free small cup of Hershey's vanilla ice cream at the end of the meal. Overall, had a great time and good food!

They had house-made spice and sauce packets at each table. Every table had a cheat sheet showing how long to barbecue each type of skewer. So, my boyfriend and I decided to check out the ice rice from this place as well as a couple of other items. Firstly, I got deep fried rice cake skewers. They were just okay because I was expecting some kind of crunch after seeing deep fried. However, there was no crunch at all and it was a little lacking in flavor. I did enjoy it though because it still had a very chewy texture which was what I was looking for. The chicken skewers I liked a lot better. The chicken was tender and although also more lightly seasoned than places, I really enjoyed it! My boyfriend wanted to try the Udon Noodles from the menu as well which I was pleasantly surprised with. The udon noodles were perfectly bouncy and did not feel too oily. And for the star of the show, we got the Milk Tea Chilled Ice. It came with a lot of toppings on the rice varying from taro mochi to herbal jelly and watermelons which were all delicious. The milk tea base is a light Earl Grey Milk Tea and being someone who struggles with black tea sometimes, this black tea was really good! It was nicely floral from the earl grey but not bitter at all! I will definitely be back again to try out a couple more items since they do close pretty late as well. They have a huge fine in area so I will probably try dining in.
