Service was fast and there were several nooks and crannies where people were comfortably getting work done, with seats still available in the upper area. The coffee felt refreshening and awakening at the same time and gave me the pep in my step that was needed to finish my 10,000 steps for the day. They also have options where you can take high quality tea or fresh squeezed juice with you for later. We opted to sit outside on their covered patio because it's so nice out even with the rain. They have ceiling fans and removable window coverings. If you look down you can see a lower level of picnic tables and a white tent, maybe for events. Our waiter, Tyler, took good care of us this evening. He helped us choose our beers and took our orders. We feasted on Metwurst (for me) with beer cheese spatzle and sauerkraut. So delicious. Had to take a couple donuts "to go" so I could just get out of the elements of the weather. I'm so glad I did. I learned that all of the donuts are made fresh in house DAILY with real ingredients... and there was a wide variety of options! You can tell just by looking at them, that they're fresh and different than others you've ever tried before. Check them out. Truly, you can tell that these are handmade donuts. Yum! The shop is cute, a bit rustic looking, but suits Carson Street so well. There are some little stickers and nick nacks around the shop, but nothing too crazy, just very particular and with purpose. Please stop in here next time you're around for a visit.

The staff are always very nice and friendly and it's the best coffee in Oakland. They have only a few tables and benches to sit at inside which fill quickly but there are also tables outside when the weather is nice. I almost always get a mocha. They use chocolate milk which I love because it makes a perfect not too sweet mocha. Everyone I work with loves their coffee!
