Took my Jeep Trailhawk in for a quote on an out of pocket project, several items needed to put it back into factory status. Dustin worked with me to get the details. After our discussion, he gave me a very favorable quote, and we scheduled an appointment to bring my car in. I brought it in and the Manager Tim took over, got my rig in and offered me a loaner while the work was being done. Tim kept in contact with me while the work was being done to be insure we were on the same page, and had my car ready for pickup as per schedule. They did a perfect job, every detail was complete as we had agreed, they washed my car and it looked like new when they were finished. Check them out before you put your car in with anyone else. I have taken my car (an older Prius) to Hilltop a couple of times in the past. They were very helpful and did a very good job. So when I was hit by a semi in August I went back to them. The damage was moderate ($3500-$4000), but again Hilltop did a fine job. I was travelling out of town at the time and wouldn't return until after the repair completion date. They agreed to hold the car till I returned. Because of the type of impact on the car I was concerned that the alignment or alignment components had been damaged. Hilltop took my car to Les Schwab who checked out the alignment. Luckily there was not issue. Hilltop dealt directly with the other driver's insurance and were easy for me to deal with. When I picked up the car, Hilltop had cleaned it inside and out. It looked better than it had for quite a while. I took my car here to get the side mirror replaced. Everytime I called,they were helpful,friendly and professional. When I brought in for an evaluation, I showed Dan ( I hope I'm remembering the right name!) a problem with my seat belt. He took the time right then and there to look at and fixed it for me. This isn't my first time having Oregon City Hilltop Collision do repair work on my car. They were great before, and didn't disappoint me this time, either. This was a big job, as they were dealing with a Toyota recall on the paint job. I was told this was going to take quite a while. They gave me a loaner car that was very comfortable to drive. They contacted me weekly as to the status of my car and I felt that they consistently were doing everything that was in my best interest. When I got my car back, almost a month later, it looked brand new. Not only was the paint job beautifully done, they also detailed the inside of my car. Their customer service was top notch and they guarantee their work. You can't get any better than that. Do not bring your car here! I brought my car in for repairs from a collision and when they returned it to me my AC was broken. The ran a full scan diagnosis BEFORE repairs and saw the AC unit wasn't working. They never notified me or my insurance company that the AC was not functioning. They repaired the vehicle but not the AC and never told me there was an issue with it. They returned the car to me and now refuse to fix the AC even though they knew it was broken in the first place. I will never recommend this place to anyone as this business is dishonest and incredibly shady. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! read more

There are few times that I've been treated so poorly after spending (out of my own pocket) thousands of dollars at a business. Not only did they refuse to stand behind their "lifetime warranty" the person I spoke with was a complete ass. He treated me like I was the one trying to cheat him while I have an inch of rain water in my cab... he actually told me "I don't chase water leeks" I was under the impression that I'd have my truck back actually fixed with a reputable shop behind the work.. I chose them because I've lived in Oregon City for over 25 years and wanted to spend local And just a heads up... I had the same exact experience as Beverly. I have a water leak I to the cab of my truck. Yes, they claim it had nothing to do with their repair. I visited the business to get a quote on repairing a door dent from when I was parked in a grocery store. At this time I was going to pay out of pocket instead of going through my insurance carrier. I went to this shop because the shop is close to my home. I decided to go through my insurance and had my insurance call Hilltop Collision to complete the paper work. Upon dropping my car off I noticed that the quote went from $999 to $1800. I inquired to why the drastic increase in price. The excuse was first that the gentleman that quoted did a poor job and was fired and the the next excuse was that the shop had to repair my vehicle to higher standards for the insurance company. During this conversation then I was told that the gentleman that quoted me was at their other location. I kind of assumed that the quality would be the same with or without insurance. I guess my assumption would be wrong. Upon picking the car up they had just finished a lack luster job in washing the car. The quote went from $1,800 to finished job of $2300. This dent was only 6" long on a passenger door. I paid with a check and went on my way. The next day I received a call to come back to the shop to give them a credit card and take back my check. I have never heard of a business not taking a check. I told the nice receptionist hell no. I am not wasting anymore time with the Hilltop Collision. This auto shop seems so shady to me. My 2016 Dodge Dart was keyed on front and rear passenger doors. I received an estimate on Friday July 15, 2016. The car was put into the shop on Wednesday the 20th with an estimated finish time of about a week. We received a call on Monday the 25th. It was done. I was a little nervous at first as I was thinking maybe the work was rushed. I was wrong. These guys did an amazing job. I tried and tried and I could not find anything to complain about. **customer beware** Last February I was involved in a fender bender. I took my Nissan to Hilltop Collision Center where I was quoted $2100 to repair my front bumper damage. After getting Three separate quotes (all quotes within $500 of each other.) I chose Hilltop to repair my vehicle. After two weeks of my Nissan being in the shop it was finished. Although the repair cost was not $2100 but in fact was $4700. More than double my estimate. Fortunately I had insurance and Insurance covered the cost other then my deductible. I was very dissatisfied with the fact that they did a 4700 dollar repair on my 2015 Nissan and did not replace my license plate cover. They just put back the broken one back on. Sometimes in life its the small things... Like a 10 dollar license plate holder.. read more

The girl at the front desk was nice, but that was about it. Went to get an estimate for a few things that needed to be fixed. The guy that did the estimate told me "it's going to cost a lot". He then tried to refer me to another shop to "clean the damage up". He maybe spent a whole 2 minutes looking at my car. I think because I'm a younger guy he assumed that I wouldn't be able to cover the costs of the repair since I was going to be paying out of pocket. I'm a serious customer. These guys were great. I went in for estimate without a lot of damage. Mostly my tire was rubbing on the front passenger side wheel sometimes. They were able to pull out my steel bumper a little to where it was before and problem solved. It took about 20mins told and no charge. Great way to earn repeat business. read more

I got into an accident back in March and my car had to be towed from the accident. The tow company took it over to Hilltop Collision Center for me. They were so professional and seemed like they took the time to estimate all of the damage that was done to my car. My car ended up being totaled and when I went to get my stuff out of my car the guys that were there were very sweet and very helpful with everything. The follow up on this shop - if you have a problem after repairs are completed - is non-existent. Our repairs were completed 1 month ago on May 25th - and as with all repairs, something came up. There is a black fluid leaking from the drivers side front tire - exactly where the suspension - and all components were repaired - after the accident. Took it in today to have them look at it - only to be told to take it to the dealer for repair!! Amazing - you did the work - and this has been leaking since about a week after I get the car out - and yet - you don't care?? WTF happened to customer service and follow-up. It was your repair to begin with - and now I get to spend more money?? We will NEVER return to this repair facility after this experience - and I would suggest no one else does either!! God forbid you find a problem after the repairs are paid for!! All other shops warranty their work - Apparently not Hilltop!! read more

So extremely frustrated with this place. I was hit in the front end of my vehicle, by a woman in February. I THOUGHT my car would have been fixed to it's post accident condition upon being returned to me. Fast forward to October, I found out that my car is out of alignment and because it's been out of alignment for so long, my tires are trashed and so I'll have to buy four new tires. Apparently when they "fixed" my car they didn't do an alignment because "we don't do that for those types of accidents" as one of the employees said to me over the phone. I know basically nothing about cars, I put my trust in these people to do right by me and they failed. I didn't know to ask them to do anything "extra" because I assumed that they would just fix my car. Now I am a les shwabbs where they are telling me (after I spent $109 on an alignment and way more on tires) that I also need some little bolt to keep my one tire in alignment. ON THE TIRE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN FIXED! Something called a camber. Like I said I don't know cars, but none of this seems right. I keep having to pay to get things fixed that should have already been taken care of. I feel very mislead and taken advantage of. Would not recommend. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT - ALL - COST!!!! Not worthy of 1 star... I went through Hilltop Collision with an insurance claim. Dropped my car off on a Tuesday and was told my car would be ready by Thursday - Friday at the latest. Then I was put in a piece of JUNK that was FILTHY for a "loaner car." Stains EVERYWHERE, not to mention I felt like it was going to leave me stranded. Friday, when I called Hilltop Collision to confirm my car was going to be ready, they told me it was in line for detail and they'd call me later for pick up. Later, they called to tell me they over sprayed with clear coat and I wouldn't get my car back until Monday! I expressed my "concerns" with their DISGUSTING loaner car and they had no problem putting me in ANOTHER - FILTHY loaner car that was on the verge of breaking down! Upon getting my car back, there was paint dripped on my LEATHER interior, the inside of my car STILL reeks of paint or lacquer. The guy was a COMPLETE JERK - "I hope you never have to come back" I decided to detail my car to try to rid the smell and stumbled upon my door not installed correctly when they were finished. Not to mention ALL of my setting in my car from lumbar support to the radio station had been changed?? I don't understand HOW this place is still in business. It's never a good experience if the situation involves body damage and your baby, meaning your car. I love my car. I haven't named her, but then I never got around to naming my boat either, but it doesn't mean I don't love her. It's my first convertible I've ever owned. A beautiful 2000 Mustang convertible, dark green. Last year I was sitting in the road with my left turn signal on, waiting for traffic to clear so i could pull into my driveway. This car pulls up behind me and slows to a stop. Just before I start to turn, she guns it and slams into me from behind. It was a little slant nose mitsubishi type car so it's main impact was directly to my frame. Not a lot of visible body damage but all my seams on my car are suddenly overlapping. A couple days later when I felt well enough I took my car to Carstar for repairs. They had it for a couple of weeks, straightened the frame, replaced the bumper and lights, painted most of it and called me to pick it up. Within a day my check engine light was on. I drove it back and they said it had nothing to do with their work. So I took it to a Ford dealer, spent 4 hours of my day, paid $150 for them to tell me that the repair shop didn't rehook a vacuum hose. A few months later when the rainy season started, my car started filling with an inch of water behind the passenger seat. Carstar said it had nothing to do with the repairs. A couple months later I see my right tail light is filling with water. Carstar tells me it has nothing to do with their repair. Then one day my husband was driving it with me sitting on the passenger side. Whenever I drive, I always have the radio on and my window part way open. Well when my husband drives, the windows are up and the radio off, so this time we hear wind noise, like the passenger window is partly open. Carstar says this has nothing to do with their repair. I'm getting NO call backs from the insurance adjuster, I'm getting blown off by Carstar, and the friggin' insurance company expects me to settle my claim. I will NEVER recommend CarStar to ANYONE! read more

Do not take your car here!! They told us it would take a week to fix our truck, it was three weeks (with no explanation). They also put new flares on our truck that do not match, said they would find the correct ones and call us, never happened. Yesterday my husband found the mudflap in the bed of our truck that they did not put back on. Super nice people, terrible service. read more
