$13.95 coupon, one coupon per family or group or table.

Food was good and service was fine, but I was disappointed by the buffet coupon promotion. The coupon advertised a Sunday lunch buffet for $13.95 and stated "One coupon per family or group or table." Our party of five assumed this meant the buffet pricing applied to the table, with one coupon required per group. Instead, only one person received the coupon price and the other four paid the regular buffet price of $15.95. The coupon does not explicitly state that it is valid for only one diner, so the promotion was confusing and did not match our expectation. I would recommend that the restaurant clarify the wording to avoid misunderstandings for future customers.

I've been to this plaza many times and decided to try this restaurant. It's such a hidden gem! Prior to going, I was planning getting their lunch special set menu, but I saw a sign outside for essentially $12 all you can eat on the weekend (in this economy!). So I opted for Al you same at, and everything was fresh and tasty! The meat were all tender and flavorful. There were about 9-10 tables of customers inside too on a week day lunch, which speaks its volume in the quality and how well liked it was!

Adding this to my favs list. As soon as we walked in the staff was nice and very fast, we sat down and they immediately gave us their menu and filled our waters. We were given free lentil soup which wasn't my personal favorite but it was free and warm. Our food came fast and the mango chicken was an immediate favorite, I'm a pretty basic chicken thinks masala kinda of gal but not anymore. I finished the entire plate. The naan was good, the other food we had was great but that mango chicken is what I would come back for. It's decorated nicely, the deep red color and cultural decor give you something fun to look at during the very short wait.

Deep flavors, fresh ingredients, tender chicken, generous portions, and wonderful staff. I love this place!

I've eaten a lot of Indian food, but nothing has made me feel like I am going to walk outside into the streets of Mumbai quite like Himalayan Curry and Grill. I could eat a platter of their veggie korma, Chana masala, and butter chicken on their naan everyday for the rest of my life. We thought my two young boys would have trouble eating the complex flavored fare, but fear not. Our kids love the coconut shrimp, (free!) lentil soup, and Chana masala. I love dining in here because it is always peaceful and never busy inside. The staff are so kind and friendly to my family. My kids LOVE looking at the fish. We keep coming here again and again.

Today is the Grand Opening of their famous Indian Buffet! Not since Covid. $11.95, weekends, $13.95 with wine, beer, or soft drink. Please see photos of Buffet to gather ideas on whether this is 4 U or not. Tasty? YES! Plenty of Parking, fast clean service, easy on your wallet.

I've tried this restaurant for their lunch buffet a couple of times now and it was great! Nice variety of curries and meat and vegetarian dishes that changes daily. There are salads, fresh fruit, soup, rice, naan bread, appetizers and all of your favorite Indian curries and dishes! The owner is very friendly and walks around to make sure everybody is having an enjoyable time here. Also very fair price for what you get. Note that on weekends, your beverage is included with the buffet but on weekdays beverages are a la carte.

TWO STRIKES AND YOUR OUT! This was our second time here and the first time I jumped the gun and said this was the best Indian food in town... that was 6monhs ago, we came back and I said to my wife, this is the real test today..... and I wasn't wrong. Then and I wasn't today folks!!! Best Lamb Somosa to ever hit my mouth! And the mint chutney looks like no one else's, that's how I know they know some time of secrets, there Chutney glows in the dark, taste like heaven!! WE LOVE HIMALAYAN CURRY AND GRILL!

We were so excited to learn this place has started offering a lunch buffet AND it's available on the weekends! Added bonus, the price includes a drink of your choice...beer and wine included. I love to get my Indian food fix and this buffet gives solid choices of the standards. Much to my excitement more than half the options were vegetarian and there is a small salad bar as well. We were greeted immediately upon entering, the staff was very nice. The decor is very pretty, loved all the art work and the fish tank. There is a small front patio as well for outside dining. We will definitely be bac!

Buffet: samosa, grilled veg, Saag Paneer, lamb curry, tandoori chicken & mixed fried noodles. Everything was delicious!

One of the best lunch buffets in town...hands down! We frequent Indian and Himalayan cuisine and I must say that this place hits! We decided to try the buffet so we could sample a variety of items, and let me tell you that they did not disappoint -- everything we had was delicious! The flavors, seasonings and spices are well balanced, chicken and lamb were exceptionally tender and their naan was soft and perfect. We enjoyed our first experience so much that we've been back 3 times in the past month -- even gotten friends and family to become regulars as well. Their lamb curry has zero gaminess, remarkably tender and is perfectly seasoned (not over powering curry flavor like you might expect), by far a surprise standout and has become a family favorite -- our 6 year-old loves it! The tandoori chicken is moist and flavorful as well. The vegetable samosa is tasty, well stuffed and lightly fried without being greasy. There's ample parking, friendly service, comfortable open atmosphere and amazing food! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a meal at Himalayan Curry & Grill!

In this economy, you cannot beat the buffet prices here lol. Food was good! The chicken tikka was creamy. The grill chickens were also good. Did I say there's unlimited naan breads? Delicious! There are vegetarian dishes as well. Waiters were friendly and quick. Overall, the restaurant was chill. It wasn't crowded when I was there for their lunch buffet.

Good tasting food, nice atmosphere, clean, friendly service, great price. Place was busy and service was a bit slow, and slow to replenish some buffet items. Would mark down a little for this, but for the price and everything else good, will keep it 5 stars.

Stopped by Himalayan Curry and Grill for a quick dinner last week based on a recommendation from a friend. Tucked in the Mission Gorge shopping center, I was able to find quick parking (avoiding the in and out traffic) to pick up my order. The staff was super friendly and explained their daily lunch buffet and new additions to a very expansive menu. The butter chicken was delicious and a good value for the price. They even threw in a free lentil soup for my wait. Excited to come back and try their 16 item buffet, which is a steal at $11.99! Thanks Himalayan Curry and Grill.

    Is there a buffet?

Yes, for sure, I was there yesterday. Here's another buffet, BHATTI HIMALAYAN GRILL Indian Cuisine, Murphy Canon Road.

Do they have the lunch special during the weekend?

They do not, nor major holidays of they fall under a weekday.

    What dish would you recommend?

We went a few weeks ago and ordered the Chicken Korma, Lamb Biryani, Vegetable Momo, and Garlic Cilantro Naan, and all of it was delicious. The garlic sauce with the Lamb Biryani is awesome. We also ordered the sweet naan and it wasn't as good as… Read more

It was a Saturday evening but there was only a few people and after two hours we were the only people in the restaurant; we left close to 8:00 PM. However, I did see several to-go dinners on a table ready to be picked up. We were first served by a gentleman who really didn't speak much. He started us with soup, but didn't say that it was complementary or explained the type of soup. We found out it was a lentil soup and was quite good. He Immediately tried to take our order, but we weren't ready yet. We did order an appetizer and drinks and then asked him to come back later because he stood there waiting on us. He did give us a few recommendations when I asked. He was nice, but seemed timid. We started off with the Vegetable Samosa and it was very delicious and one of the best i've eaten. When we were ready, a female server took our order. I asked for recommendations again, and she pretty much gave the same one that the male server gave us however, she was more descriptive and even showed us photos at the back of the menu that we missed. I ordered the Lamb Curry with spice level 4 out of 10 with her help. The curry had just enough heat. for me and it was a delicious dish. My friend ordered the Chicken Korma which the server recommended for her, with the spice level of 2 but she said she probably could've gone up one level. Our server, also recommended the Garlic Cilantro Naan. I thought the naan was tasty but just a bit over done. I did try the Chicken Korma which was very creamy and on the sweeter side, but it too was delicious. Overall, the food was delicious, restaurant was clean, the servers were nice and I would come back and try more dishes and naan.It was a very quiet evening for Saturday. Oh, and when we asked for to-go containers, I liked how she had a separate one for rice, curry, and foil for the naan.

Service: the kind woman taking orders and serving every customer was amazing. She stayed calm despite the restaurant getting busy. The couple people in the kitchen working so hard. You can't even get mad at the long wait for food. This has the best Himalayan food I have ever had besides the West Indies. My soul left my body .. did a dance and decided top 10 meals I have had. Food like this takes time! If you don't want to wait then this is not the place for you ... go to McDonald's . First dish : Butter chicken momo 2000/5 stars the juicy dumpling, the perfect bouncy outside of the dumpling and the Incredible butter chicken sauce, played like a favorite song in my mouth. Nothing to say but ooooo... myyy.... God. Second dish. Chicken tiki masala with tandoori oven cooked chicken juicy with An amazing char taste that all Indian and Himalayan food SHOULD have. 5/5 Third: cilantro garlic naan also cooked in tandoori oven soft, crispy edges , buttery and just plain perfect. 5-5 Mango iced tea, refreshing not too sweet would come for a tea by itself . 5/5 This place is the real deal and I swear if anyone takes a star off for the wait ... you don't appreciate good food or what it takes to offer a perfect plate to every table. Shame on you.

This could be because it didn't have the same spice though, it wasn't sweet nor spicy. The chicken was very tender and no complaints there. The chicken tikka masala was great, not sweet at all not super spicy but a great level honestly, everything was at spice level 9 and I think it was all good but Chana masala had a bit of kick The paneer was veryyy creamy and quite sweet, I honestly did not really like it it was a weird sweet to me but it depends on your taste, my dad liked it and my mom did not Overall I would come back knowing exactly what dishes I want now, maybe I am bias because I am Indian and the dishes that had more Nepal influence or weren't like exactly Indian food did not taste as good to me, but normally I am not that picky of an eater.

We waited for a few moments by the entrance, and then we were seated at a two top next to the raised tables on the carpet. We ordered samosas, Naan, Chicken Saag & Mango Chicken. Dal: We were gifted two small cups of dal (lentil soup) with fresh cilantro. It was not as flavorful as it has been in the past, so we added salt and pepper, and that brought it to life. Samosas: Delicious! They were on the smaller side, but the tamarind sauce was delightful. - $4.99 Garlic & Cilantro Naan: Great and reasonably priced - $3.99 Chicken Saag - Spice level 4 - pretty hot, very tasty. Chicken and spinach in a rich sauce. - $15.99 Mango Chicken - Spice 4 - pretty hot, slightly sweet sauce and very flavorful chicken. - $15.99 Basmati rice: fine :) Glass bottles of water were placed on the table immediately, and when we finished one, another one was brought over right away. We appreciated this! There is plenty of parking in the lot. The could-be-better: The service was rather uneven today because there were only two waiters for the whole dining room and they had to seat folks, bus tables, handle to-go orders, and wait on tables. They definitely need more staff on weekends. As a result, the service came across as a bit gruff and harried. Our table near the carpeted seating areas was a little too small for all of the dishes, and when our used dishes were not taken off of the table, it was quite crowded. Additionally, when families arrived who needed to sit at the tables on the carpet, we were surrounded by people taking their shoes off, and it felt awkward and uncomfortable for a few minutes. We were just about done with our food when the families arrived, so we left shortly afterward, but it could be a bit much if we were there longer. There should be a "please wait to be seated" sign by the front door so customers don't walk into the restaurant and stand around by the desk, and crowd the folks who are already seated in the dining room, or worse, pounce on a table that someone else is waiting for. Overall: The food here is good and reasonably priced. I will probably opt for take out more often than I dine in going forward (just to avoid the crowds), but I will be back. This restaurant feels authentic and genuine, and I like supporting family-owned businesses whenever possible. Mahalo!
