I agree with another review on Balefire that I never really felt like I knew what was going on in the design process, it sometimes felt like I was expected to be a gemologist/jeweler and to know much more than the average person would about the steps in designing a ring. When I went in to pick up my ring, the sapphires we selected were not green at all, and the amount of stones didn't really look right on the band. I wished I could have seen a 3D mockup of this so I would have really known what to expect rather than a drawing that quite frankly looked like it was done in MS Paint. I left the store and held the ring up in the daylight and almost none of the color in the sapphires was visible, which was the entire point of what we discussed with Balefire. I reached out to them and they told me that sapphires change a lot in the light (would have been good to know that ahead of time) but kindly offered to fix it for me with colored diamonds that would be more saturated. I pick up the ring for a second time and have to say that it was odd to be ignored by the owner and only spoken to by another woman who works there, who was incredibly nice and helpful, but it was bizarre to have the owner 3 feet away typing on a laptop acting like I didn't exist. It seemed like poor customer service to not even check in and see how things were going with the ring that we had talked so much about. After less than a month of having the wedding ring, a stone fell out while I was out at dinner with my family in Kentucky. These stones are really small and hard to keep track of, for one, and for two, now I'm away from home for a long period of time without my wedding ring that i JUST got. I couldn't and still don't understand why this ring didn't even last a month and how I'm supposed to have faith that it will hold up for the rest of my life. Once I took pictures of the ring to send to Balefire and zoomed in on the settings and the poor job that had been done, I understood why the stone fell out. I contacted the jewelers and just said frankly that I am done, do not want this ring, have no faith in Balefire that this ring will hold up for years to come, and just wanted to return it to them for a refund. This process is something that was supposed to be so fun and special and instead has been incredibly stressful and sad. I feel taken advantage of by Balefire as this ring was $3k and it didn't even last a month without an issue. Of course they refused my efforts to return the ring but did offer to fix it yet again. I am pursuing other options but truly wish I never went here in the first place.

Our experience with Balefire Jewelry -- and Jamie in particular -- was deeply frustrating and disappointing. What started as a promising interaction quickly soured into one of the most stressful parts of our engagement planning. Jamie initially came off as personable, but any attempt to ask questions about design possibilities or explore small adjustments quickly revealed her impatience and intolerance for feedback. The moment we began to engage thoughtfully with the design process, her demeanor turned dismissive and rude. Her inability to produce a very basic, elegant ring -- something understated and timeless -- was shocking given her branding. She outsources her CAD renderings, which means she couldn't respond quickly or accurately to design questions, and there was a constant lag in communication and clarity. She gave up on the project just a month before the timeline we'd agreed on, leaving us scrambling to find someone new -- during what should have been a joyful, meaningful milestone. It's also worth mentioning that her diamond pricing is significantly above market. Like $1K over the same lab made diamond from Thallot (same ca, color etc). She insists it's because of "sourcing standards," yet never discloses what those standards are, leaving clients like us with a vague explanation and inflated prices. If you're considering Balefire, we strongly suggest zooming in on the photos on their Instagram page. You'll notice bands that appear bulky, inconsistent, or unfinished -- thin, elegant bands in particular seem to be a challenge. There's a roughness to the designs that lacks the crispness we saw from other jewelers. Thankfully, we found Thallot, who saved the day. Their team was professional, kind, and fast. They produced beautiful, detailed CAD renderings quickly and involved us in the process in a way that felt collaborative and respectful. Thallot also let me participate in making the ring by melting and pouring through gold for the band (they call this their "Pour Your Heart Into It" program and it's free!) what an awesome thing to take part in! We'll be returning to Thallot for our wedding bands without hesitation. Balefire may look appealing at first glance, but our experience was a letdown from start to finish. For something as important as an engagement ring, go where your vision is respected and your time (and money) is valued.

I needed the prongs fixed on my wedding ring. I took it somewhere else and the prongs were getting caught on everything. When the biondi employee looked at my ring her jaw dropped. She said it was a simple fix and fixed it on the spot at no charge. I waited 15 min. Also, when i sat down to wait another employee can and came to check if i had been helped.
