We made a reservation through OpenTable for 7 people four days in advance. When we arrived, two separate tables were set up close to each other without prior notice. After asking a couple of times, we were eventually seated at one table. Our first server, Nika (or Nicca), was wonderful--sweet, attentive, and informative. We chose the omakase and absolutely loved it. Toward the end, our server changed and the service became less smooth. The new server did not explain the dishes, and wine refills required us to ask, as the bottle was placed on a different table. The food was outstanding. The ambience is calm, quiet, and not crowded, which made the experience very relaxing. Courses are paced slowly, which worked well for us since we enjoyed having time to chat, but it's something to expect. Overall, an excellent meal with incredible food and a lovely atmosphere.

We went here for a birthday dinner and it wasn't as packed on a Thursday evening. Our server was very professional and friendly!! She added an extra layer of class to our experience! The ambiance was peaceful and since there wasn't many people it felt very personable. I'm not a huge meat person, but the personal course selection our server provided us was pretty on spot with what we would get. The meats tasted really buttery + juicy. I appreciate the other servers for cooking and presenting our meats!. I really loved our appetizer, salad was OK nothing special. The only thing that I felt a little underwhelmed was the dessert option . I didn't love the taste of the cake and preferred the ice cream more so maybe it's just a me-thing but yeah it was the only thing I could've been fine without. I would totally come again from the service alone!!

Food - The serving size surprised us Lol but maybe based on the classy vibes we should've expected it. The quality was really good though I will say I didn't think I'd be full from a cup of rice with a slice of Wagyu but paired with the Wagyu Karubi I did get pretty stuffed. The beef is just so fatty and rich. Their quality here seemed reaallly high. Also the table was their Filet Mignon Katsu Sandwich! I wasn't a fan of the mustard sauce but everything else was mwah chef's kiss. And then for a fun drink I tried the Pink Haven. This was a sweet sip between bites Vibes - This was more upscale dining than a casual experience. The server helps cook the meat on the grill and describes the sauces + flavors. We made reservations for a Friday night, but they weren't too busy so I'm not sure if it was super necessary (better safe than sorry though!) I think their lunch has some promising options I'd like to come back to try such as their spaghetti, carbonara, and ramen dishes :D Parking - I ended up parking in a garage near by, but later found out they validate parking. More info about location is found on their site!!

My new favorite restaurant in Bellevue. Loved that I can make reservations online. Amazing ambiance. Modern, clean, sleek, minimalist. Service was professional. Quick. Attentive. You forgot they were even there filling your waters. Food. Gah. Amazing. Sushi, steak, everything. The appetizers and sides were also unique and delicious. I absolutely adore this place. My favorites were the ribeye, rubix cubes, the sushi with caviar, lemon udon, steamed egg. Everything. I could skip the uni toast. I had to try it though. I am definitely coming back.

Lunch menu updated on 8/19/25. They no longer have the wagyu burger for $9.99. It is not $15.99 for a 1/2 lb.. This time we ordered: Japanese char siu miso carbonara Classic wagyu burger w fries Hawaii wagyu burger w fries

Omikase planning 2/5 Service 3/5 Food 5/5 Overall a 3 ... so hard to spend over $3000 on a not perfect experience for 12 people. We had Mother's 93rd birthday dinner here for 12 people. We had a private run which was a nice bonus. I had high expectations for the coordination for the omikase which was $150/person. But that was a fail as we had 3 people with various dietary restrictions, one of them with allergies to all shellfish and raw roe, one with allergies to all bivalves, and one avoiding raw fish/meat. I was assured that there would be an alternative for those that couldn't eat those items. Well, the first dish came out with caviar on top, and tartare, so I asked what the alternative was for the roe allergy and non raw meat eater. He said he was not aware of the roe and the shellfish allergies, even though it was in the email communications and I had spoken with someone about the allergies. After that, the server/chef consulted me on the food list to make sure everything was fine. This should have been done in advance. Then the salad round came one with lobster, one with duck and the other the garden salad. But based on where I was sitting, it was an unfortunate spot because I got no duck and no lobster. Each salad was probably enough for 5 people at most. Such a disappointment. Wine pouring portions was also a bust for me because I was the taster and the taster gets the last pour. But I literally got an ounce at most. He apologized. It was understandable, but sucked for me. Beverages were good, but My husband had ordered a beer and it was a dish in before he had to ask for it to be served. My mother ordered a Chardonnay which she never got. We figured he would just take it off at the end. But it wasn't taken off. So he had to run it again. But in running it again he left it on. Then he ran it again and because it was $2500 charge it was seen as suspicious by my credit card. So, I had to use a different card. The rest of the meal was fabulous. The A5 Wagyu Zabuton was my favorite, then the A5 Wagyu Sirloin steak. And they comped two birthday desserts for my mother, which was sweet.

We came for a birthday celebration and everything was great, but the one thing that I cannot stop thinking about was the Wagyu Tallow Truffle Kamemeshi. It was truly delicious. Appetizers here are pretty small and will last you for about a couple of bites. I enjoy foie gras but the foie gras sandwich here was not my favorite. It didn't seem like the flavors were balanced out very well. However, I did enjoy the Japanese A5 Wagyu & Hokkaido Uni Sushi as well as the Uni Toast. I just wish that the portions were larger. We ordered a couple of different meats that the server will grill for you and those were delicious as well. The portions were also pretty small for these but I enjoyed each bite. We had also ordered the Wagyu Coulotte Steak which is from their Tableside Carved Selection. These were good too, and a much better portion size, but by the time we got to this point we were both so full that we had to take the rest to-go.

This is so long over due. I got to try this new Japanese Bbq for my birthday in December and it was a really cool wagyu omakase experience. The presentation, the amount of food, and drink pairing was truly a memorable birthday experience. The service was also amazing. There was so many servers each with a specific role. There was one dish that I wish would never end. They seared a slice of A5 wagyu on top of scallop sashimi. It was the best bite and I wanted more of it. The fatty richness from the meat and the sweet fresh scallop was the perfect marriage of a bite. Did I also mention that they grill the meat for you! The ambiance was very romantic with lots of plants decorated all around. The restaurant is also very spacious.

After having an amazing Seattle Restaurant Week experience, I decided to swing by for a weekday lunch to Classic 1/2lb Wagyu Cheese Burger (4.5/5): Especially at $9.99, the value and the quality is off the charts. If you don't order anything else, this is unbeatable for lunch! Fries are perfectly crispy and nicely salted, which is all you can ask for. Beef Tongue Curry (3/5): I actually really enjoyed the curry itself; it was savory, creamy, spiced, and the thinly shaved parmesan added a great salty touch. Unfortunately, the beef tongue was insanely overcooked - absolutely blasted and wayyyy too chewy. Lunch Special Beef Combo (4.25/5): Unlike at dinner, you actually grill your own meat. I think the value is solid at $40, but make sure you count the pieces, we almost got 3 slices instead of 4 on one of the options. Wagyu Dan Dan Noodle (2.75/5): The wagyu is totally wasted here as it got cooked out until it was dry. I wasn't expecting a soup, but the broth was solid enough. The noodles were fine and the egg was overcooked. Mid all around; I wouldn't order this again. Gyu-katsu Rice (4/5): This was solid, but it was 3 small cubes of steak, which is not what I was expecting at all. Meat was tender and there was a light crisp from the panko on the outside. Normally, I hate tonkatsu sauce, but theirs isn't too sweet and has a good bit of tang.

I came here for lunch after hearing a lot about their burger special during lunch time. The place is good, but didn't meet my expectations. The service was Decent, our server made sure our water was filled periodically and asked us how things were. However, I did wish he would have informed us of what which meat was what for the lunch combo in the beginning or even suggesting how to cook it. The place is fancy, however during lunch, it more casual as you see people from work coming over. Food: Peanut butter burger 4/5 --- price wise it was great! 12.99 for burgers and fries and good portion. The meat was good as well. However, the peanut butter was too much. Like it was messy and it overpowered a lot of the other things in the burger. I think we should have just ordered the regular burger. Beef combo: 3/5 --- i was surprised at how Small this was. Our waiter advertised it as it can feed 2 people, but when I saw it, I'm thinking maybe 2 kids. It came with 4 different cuts and a few vegetables for grilling. I wish it came with at least a side of rice or even some lettuce or something. 2/4 meats I like while the other 2 was ok. The kalbi and prime cut one was tender and juicy. The finger meat was too fatty for me and the beef tongue had good flavor but was to tough and chewy. Overall, I would probably come back just for the regular burger, maybe try their normal lunch dishes??

Such a gem of a spot. The quality of the meat was outstanding. Everything was incredible both on its own and paired with the sauces, which really enhanced each bite without overpowering the flavors. The smaller portions worked in their favor, making it easy to taste a wide range of cuts and appreciate the differences in texture and richness. A major highlight was that the meat is cooked for you, ensuring perfect doneness every time and letting you fully focus on the experience. The menu really shines if you love premium ingredients like wagyu and uni. Add in a thoughtfully designed space with great ambiance, even down to the bathrooms, and it's clear a lot of care went into the entire dining experience. Definitely a place worth revisiting whenever I'm back in town.

My friends and I came here for Seattle Restaurant week and really enjoyed this place! The ambiance inside is very fancy, with dimmer lighting and feels very upscale. The beef was pretty good, though I was not entirely impressed given the price. The servers cook it for you on the grill at your table which is fun.

$9.99 lunch special 1/2 lb classic wagyu cheese burger and fries - IG @bougiefoodieboi

This is a fancy Japanese yakiniku restaurant located in Bellevue, but it could be a really good deal if you go for lunch. I went here for a Monday lunch around 12:30pm and it was not busy. I got the classic 1/2 pound wagyu cheeseburger with fries which was $9.99 before tax and tip, and it was quite filling. These days, it is hard to get a satisfying, filling meal for this price point so I am glad this restaurant offers such a nice deal. While value is good, the cheeseburger was not memorable. There is supposedly caramelized chili butter but this flavor was super nuanced and masked when combined with the pickles and raw onions in the burger, so it felt like I am eating a regular cheeseburger. The beef patties were excellent, though, and it was double patty which was nice. Fries left a bit to be desired. Some fries were pretty good, while some were pretty stale and had a little fishy aftertaste. These factors unfortunately lost a star for a dish that is one of the best values in the greater Seattle area. Service was decent and the food came out fast, qualities that were essential for a weekday lunch when a lot of people are busy in the day. Despite the food falling short a bit, I would still highly recommend going here especially for the lunch specials for the value!! The peanut butter one sounds interesting so that would be something I would try for my next visit.

Perfectly salted butter, and the taste reminded me of sourdough but the texture of the bread itself was like a very crispy crunchy outer layer over a martin's potato roll. - The Grand (3/5): I learned that I am definitely not a shellfish person.. so keep in mind of my biased take! I wish the waiter explained what came on our plate, but he quickly scooted away. The scallops were my favorite. Nice and mild and sweet flavor. The grand also came with 6 sauces to pair. Wasn't sure which sauce went best with which, but doesn't hurt to try? shell on shrimp and lobster claw were the second and third bests in my opinion. - Grilled Black-eyed Perch (4/5): got a smaller 1.2 lb fish. Can get it grilled and fried. Fried is ~$4 more. This fish was around 38-39/lb at the time of writing. Flavors were so great! Not a bony fish at all and didn't have to really pick at it. A tad dry in certain parts, but again, nice salty, zesty from the lemon and herbaceous. This place is definitely on the $$$ side, so can see ppl coming here for special occasions.

We had reservations for dining so we had to wait in the lounge area before the room would open. Our waitress in the lounge was very attentive and nice, and the views from the lounge were great so overall it was a good experience. We ordered 2 sets of hand rolls, the ceviche and the truffle, and I got some non-alcoholic drink that want bad but wasn't great, either. Both hand rolls were very surprising in their ingredients and overall taste, but our favorite was the ceviche. Odd that they feel the need to charge extra for soy sauce and wasabi, but okay. Once sat in the tiny table in the dining room, our waiter came by and offered his sage advice on the menu. He made a comment about his "lean body" and what he chooses to intake with regards to food and his recs for dinner that he did NOT say to the table full of thin, white folks next to us, so that was noteworthy and unnecessary. He recommended me the cap of ribeye, which for the price, left a lot to be desired personally. My husband preferred the flavor of that particular piece over his bone-in, and I actually preferred his, so that was interesting. We also ordered the truffle Mac and cheese but didn't finish it. The pasta was very reminiscent of wheat or lentil pasta and it felt too stodgy. Flavor was fine, but the parsley crumbs were....an interesting visual choice. The bread "basket" was interesting, but the best was the complimentary dessert (goat cheesecake was delectable), as well as the mushroom dessert. So cute and tasty. We were mostly taken care of by side staff and frankly, they were much warmer and approachable, so kudos to them. Lastly, I was shocked to learn of the deposit to sit by a window, and then having to watch people come in wearing sweat pants and crocs. Utter nonsense. $400+ later, we would only return for the sushi, pork belly and dessert.

I'm very disappointed by the lack of follow-up and would appreciate having my receipt emailed to me immediately.

Almost 20 years later and now married, I wanted to bring my husband here and share this experience. Of course, we both had a great time. The atmosphere, the service, the food. Again, all wonderful! Parking is in the garage, and they validate. We got the Torched Salmon Belly (be sure to eat the leaf it comes on! it's part of the experience). Delicious! 10/10 would get again, mostly because the Shiso leaf was something I've never had before. The Grilled Octopus was wonderful and not chewy at all. Loved the Greek lemon caper pepperoncini vinaigrette that came with it. I read that a lot of others were recommending the Deviled Eggs, which we also got and enjoyed. I think one set was salmon and the other was tuna. You honestly cant go wrong with either. I feel like getting the Coconut Creme Pie is a must here. I love coconut, and oddly enough really dislike pies, so this wouldn't be something I would normally get. But with a presentation like this, how can you pass it up? I do remember getting this back in 2008 and loving it, and it seems my tastebuds haven't changed. 10/10! Get this! But only if you love coconut.

The seafood here was very fresh (as is most places in Seattle) but we especially loved the torched salmon belly, Dungeness Crab California Roll and the Ahi Poke). The service was also amazing and very on top of things. If you're looking for a nice night out and want some good seafood, this is the spot! Apps: Spicy Garlic Edamame, Torched Salmon Belly, Clams with Pesto and Seastar Raw Tower (Halibut Ceviche, Dungeness Crab California Roll and Ahi Poke) Entrees: Grilled Scallops, Miso Glazed Sea Bass and Seafood Stew Sides: Roasted Broccoli Dessert: Creme Brûlées
