Beef with Broccoli holy moly great portions!

Very pleasantly surprised! Wasn't expecting much for a first visit and especially for a lunch special at a mere $7. To my surprise everything was full-sized, no skimping or junior lunch portion, you get it all! I ordered the Beef with Broccoli and got particularly generous beef portions and huge fresh florets. Also nice bonus with egg roll and rangoon. Value 12/10! Beef portions were tender and huge fresh florets still had a little crunch. The sauce was a little thick but better thick than thin. Eggroll and rangoon were surprisingly tasty for a bonus throw in. Fried rice was fake but to be expected yet far better than some places I've been. Everything I ate that day could have been far, far worse in fact at 7 bucks but it wasn't! Taste 12/10 (vs. panda express) Taste 8/10 (vs. other real chinese restaurants--I'm Asian) Order placed and taken out in a timely fashion to go, no chit chat . I was the only one in there at the time though. Service 10/10

I have been driving past this place for Chinese take out for quite a while but I had been going down the street to another place for over 15 years and it was fine and they knew me. Well that place changed hands and they made all sorts of changes with changing the signage or the paper menus and were not seemingly bothered by it. So I gave this place a try and the food was decent and the people were pleasant. Now I drive a 1/2 mile less each way to get my Chinese takeout.

I came here on a recommendation for good eats in the area and was not utterly disappointed. The place is in a shopping plaza. It's small and could stand a makeover however, the food was served quick and hot. It didn't taste the freshest but, was a cheap hot meal at about $5.50 for a lunch combo. The combos come with fried rice and an egg roll. We tried the orange chicken, beef and broccoli combos as well as bbq pork fried rice and crab puffs. Everything was mediocre. Not some place that I'd choose among all the other spots to go especially since I don't live in the area. The staff were all friendly. If, I may point out you order at the register and your food is brought out to your table. Not a bad choice but, wouldn't be my first Chinese food restaurant to dine at.

HING LOON. TAKE 2. I threw caution to the wind and went against my norm to order only soup and eggrolls only before trying entrees. 1st was the combination fried rice (a.k.a. house fried rice). It was very tasty and not overly salty....yay!!! Remember kids you can add salt, but you can't take it out ;-) That's why God made soy sauce packets. My 1st bite transported me back to an old favorite spot back East that my family frequented when I was a kid......ahhhhh memories :) 2nd on the docket was chicken with broccoli (+ onion and carrot) and it too was delish and 'so fresh and so clean, clean' ^-^. Riddle me this why no duck sauce? I wonder what you put on your eggroll? Hmmmm.....must investigate that next. Overall, compared to another local establishment up the street, I am highly impressed and think you should be too. I give Hing Loon a high 5 today!

we eat here regularly, and it seems just fine to me. Don't know why the negative reviewers were not happy. See for yourself, i guess.

Golden Dragon is a small very casual take out type Chinese Restaurant located in Glendale. It is…read moreextra casual here. You order, pay at the counter and grab your beverage from the refrigerator. Your meal is packed in styrofoam so you either take out or eat in at one of the few tables inside. Parking is very easy because they are at the end of a strip mall in a big parking lot. Our food was very fresh. Portions were very large. The chicken in our dishes was masterfully moist and very tender. The food is a very good value if you like it. We ordered the yui shan chicken and the garlic chicken combos (only around $1. more to get soup, crab puff, egg roll and an upgrade from white rice to fried rice.) Based on only trying two dishes my conclusion is that they serve Arizona Style American Chinese Food. It is far less complex, less flavorful, and much less spicy than east coast American take out Chinese Food. It's not bad food in anyway so if you are from Arizona it is very good food. We started eating at the restaurant but I got the idea that I could take the food home and improve it for my taste. The food stayed piping hot and it did taste much better with just a spoonful of chili crisp added more flavors and some needed heat. The people working there seemed very nice and the restaurant looked sparkling clean. 3 stars is a positive review and means A-OK on Yelp. Give this place a try if you are good with Arizona Style Take Out Chinese Food.

The service is quick and convenient for a pick up. People are constantly picking up orders. I've eaten there as well, it's a very clean place. It came with some eggrolls because I didn't want the soup and it was really good flavor. Everything was perfect. The service was great. The only flaw there was one thing that went wrong, but I'm not even tripping. I ordered a Kung pow beef and I received the Kung pow shrimp. It's OK. It was so delicious, but I'm gonna have to come back and try that beef. I walked out feeling very satisfied. My stomach felt good. It felt like good ingredients and I only paid $14 and some change and I even got a Diet Coke. Definitely gonna come back for the lunch special because I love the spice. The flavor was really on point. One thing about me is that I love spice I go to specific spots just to eat the spice. Thanks you ; I am slowly disappointed that I didn't receive what I wanted, but it's all good. I wasn't going to say anything just cause like I didn't want the food to go to waste. I don't know who made the mistake but it's all good. I just wanted to point that out.

I spent over $50 on food, and the quality was extremely disappointing. The General Tso's chicken was basically nothing but breaded chicken pieces -- no vegetables and barely any sauce. The Orange Chicken was also dry and lacked sauce, making both dishes bland and unappetizing. To make matters worse, each entrée is supposed to come with rice, yet only a very small portion was provided. At this point, it feels like this restaurant is cutting corners and poorly managed. I'm generally not someone who leaves negative reviews, but the lack of care, consistency, and food quality is impossible to ignore. This was my last time giving this establishment my hard-earned money. I'd rather spend it somewhere that values its customers and takes pride in the food they serve.

If you need to hold a conversation with someone, the music isn't too loud preventing that. Music was a mix, they did have "Golden" in the mix and ngl, I had to force myself not to sing along. They have lunch specials, even on Sundays. It's a great way to try a lot of options for cheaper. The lunch menu comes with a generous size entree, 2 scoops of fried rice, egg drop soup, a veggie spring roll and a fried cream cheese wonton. I got a few items, and we had so much food it's still in the fridge. Walnut shrimp was crispy, sauce wasn't overly sweet, nice crunch from the candied walnuts. You get a good portion. The shrimp was not overcooked. Yum. 8/10 Shrimp with lobster sauce, it was a little salty for me but had a nice mix of veggies, and the sauce didn't have too much cornstarch, so it wasn't gelatinous like at some places. Nice flavors though. Nothing overpowering. 6/10 Beef Chow Fun -not on the lunch menu but I literally get it at every Chinese place that has it. The rice noodles were not overcooked, beef was seasoned well and tender, not chewy. 10/10 would get that again. Hot and sour soup was pretty good. I could stand for it to have more "sour" to it. The flavors were a bit mellow for me. I like a more aggressively flavored hot and sour soup. Not bad though. 6.5/10 Mongolian beef. Nice tender beef, well cooked and seasoned. Good beef to onion ratio. 8/10. Chicken with mushrooms-saucy, full of veggies with a mild brown sauce. They had zucchini in it, and I love zucchini and mushrooms together. There was a lot of chicken, and it was seasoned well, not too salty. Definitely tasty. 8/10. Would I be back? Probably. I'm glad I found this spot. I've driven by it plenty, it's one you don't want to miss though!
